I really agree with your philosophy that builds feels better when they are both looking good and feel stable. At times, I have to build looser fitting creations, but when I build entirely for myself I like things to stay in place and be easy to handle. As for the stairs, the grey look is fine to me. It looks a bit messy with all of the different sizes of tiles. How about deciding on outer dimensions for a tile (1x3 for example), but vary with different tiles/plates within that parameter?
Hi! I am not 100% sure I understand the concept you are suggesting. You mean the coloration of the stairs is done within a 1x3 parameter, and in those 3 studs are placed different combination of shapes? That would mean the stairs would be done by a number of a number of 1x1 tiles and plates? Would be great if you clarify if I understood correctly!
