Roco IORE LKAB
Roco Uad iron ore cars LKAB
Kadee knockle couplings are used between locomotive and first iron ore car.
Kadee knockle couplings are used by US modellers for modeling of real US couplings. IORE and Russia uses similar couplings so it looks very close to prototype. In EU models you have to use NEM adapter. These couplings are made by american model manufacturer Kadee. It numbers it's coupling by number.
I used following couplings:
Kadee #20 - on loco side adapter of EU NEM 362 to Kadee
Kadee #5 - on first iron ore car side.
Look for Kadee #20 and Kadee #5 in Google. I ordered them direct from US, from www.trainworld.com or in EU you can buy them maybe at All American Trains or Modellbahnatelier Berlin.
This locomotive is a must for collectors like myself who want the world's most powerful types
Yes, it's a beauty... 😊
@@MaxSupercars just got mine shipped in from Hong Kong. Roco. Brand new half the price you pay for it in Germany
Nice Swedish palm trees by the control tower. LOL. I like the use of racking for the bench work. You can use short uprights in front and long ones in the back and cantilever self supports for upper levels. It's not like you're putting on excessive weigh.
Die Roco IORE LKAB ist ein Traum. 👍👍👍
Ja ist... Und der Zimo Sound ist Klasse. Habe auch ESU gehört, aber dieser ist besser... 🙂
Nice video! Thanks Max.
Greetings from Stummiforum.😊
Danke schön! Schöne Grüße zurück! 😝
Замечательный электровоз👍👌
Yeah, I like her a lot too! 😊
Just needs a Canadian Comfort Cab, taller height, a diesel-electric hybrid (like the ALP-45DP), and you have got the American dream that is a locomotive.
You got enough space in these cabs, trust me... 😀 And there is no need for diesel. This is the pure clean electric energy... (from coal powerplants)... 😂 BTW... Both Bombardier/Adtranz IORE and Bombardier ALP-45DP got the same base - Bombardier TRAXX... 🙂
COOL
Yeah. I like it a lot too... 😊
The. worlds most powerful electric locomotives ! Luckily I managed to find a set but trying to go for a 68 wagon train is pushing my layout ( and budget ) to breaking point :- ) Thanks
Yeah... I stopped by 41... I want to buy the successor version of these cars. Roco makes hopefully re-release in next years... 😊
That's not true actually. In China they have a locomotive called Shen 24. This beast is 106 m long and have more than 38 000 hp
Double locomotive
Yesss, twin loco... 😊
Glad I found this. I decided this year to model this prototype. So I was wondering what is the radius of your curves? They seem to handle them well, but I want to make sure I don't go too tight. Also, can the pantographs can provide power to the locomotives or is it track only? I intend to put in the full overhead. If I'm going to go through the effort to scratch build it all, it may as well do the job it is intended to do.
I got 22" radius, what are cca. R4 european curves. The locomotives run also smaller radiuses with no problem. I got older ore cars used. This year you can buy proper ore cars for this loco with yellow steps on sides. Roco makes 2 sets of 4 cars with different road numbers. Then you can buy also extra end car with "end of train" light.
@@MaxSupercars Fantastic. Thanks for the information. I've been doing research online and will have to make some railfanning trips of my own to Sweden/Norway when the whole Covid thing lifts.
Also, I never thought of using shelving units for a layout base. What a neat idea.
Cheers.
@@rhealsabourin5650 Yeah, actually the shelving system was the compromise solution because I had to share storage and trains area. First I used just 1 level but after time the trains occupied the most of my garage room... 😃 I plan to move to attic so that's the reason why I got no scenery. The disadvantage of this solution is blocked view through vertical beams. So you got no direct view of 5 meters long track and I can not make nicer videos... 🙂
@@MaxSupercars Well, it's official. I picked up my first set of IORE locomotives and am not disappointed. Can't wait to start getting the whole train together now. :D
@@rhealsabourin5650 That's great! Enjoy the beauty! 😊
The wagons dont look like that here in Sweden.
They are older variants from the past. So not current.
Hello. What is the coupling between the locomotive and the first wagon ???
Very nice train. I have the same.
Hi! That's the Kadee knockle coupling used by US modellers for modeling of real US couplings. IORE and Russia uses similar couplings so it looks very close to prototype. @@MaxSupercars Merci pour la réponse. Je vais aller voir!!!
@@thomasdangelser8989 You're welcome! 😉
Roco 78357 Zimo Sound?
Yes original Zimo. Is better than from ESU. I like the stage when loco begins moving... she sounds mysterious... 😋
Hi there , 1.40 in there is a yard light showing , what make is it ? do you have a part number please ?
Hi! It should be Viessmann 6331. There is also Version with 2 reflectors Viessmann 6332. Here picture: assets.catawiki.nl/assets/2016/2/18/3/1/1/3115137e-d683-11e5-9560-90e058bb4b8f.jpg
Do the end of train light Uads dump too?
I do not remember, but I think not, because there is electronics in the underbody... 🙂
Hello
What is the reference of the lights of the last car?
What do you mean with reference? 🤔
@@MaxSupercars The last car has end of convoy lights. What is the reference of these lights ?? ( Google Translate )
it's piko rails ?
Yes, Piko tracks... 🙂
No way , how did you purchase all those wagons they are ultra rare to find..
I only have two sets and found it impossible to find any more
Grand vid as always...
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃jim
Jim, they are maybe rare right now. But at the time they came out you could buy as many sets as you want... 🙂 Wait few years and Roco will make a new release as always... 🙂
