I also find it funny, just because Jordan looks a lot happier then before in these videos. It feels good to know that he's actually enjoying himself and the content he's making. =)
I still remember when I was good with redstone, with my hidden piston doors, retractable stairs and combination locks. Also I think how the double jump works is when you jump while in the air it spawns a barrier block under your feat for the splitsecond it takes to jump from it.

KingKal98 they look like lego blocks, Jordan implicitly said the same thing when he first saw them. They look like they have the connector pegs/knobs in the texture
I'm pretty sure they also make use of /execute and /testfor to detect if a player is next to the right kind of blocks. In fact, I'm fairly sure there are a lot of /execute and /testfor commands being used for almost all of the special blocks with abilities. Also barrier blocks, oh so many barrier blocks.
Captain Sparklez, you should try the parkour challenge on Mineplex. It's behind the Champions section, across the 3 icicles and then right-click the NPC Villager. I've had trouble getting past the first few jumps but knew that you, the Parkour Master could reach the end. Plus if you finish you get a 6000 gem reward.
And please put super modded survival or ultra modded survival back on RUclips. I really love those series and I'm sure a lot of other people miss it too. I'm starting to get bored, the old series you did where awesome.

One way the "wall ladder" effect could be achieved is having a n armor stand around each block with a specific name, then execute at everyone with a radius of three/setblock ~ ~-1 ~ barrier, then at everyone r=12,rm=4 /setblock air
How he does all those stunts is by summoning barrier blocks when he's in a certain position. If he's by those coal blocks, it summons a block under him, when he double jumps, he's just jumping on another barrier block, wall climbing is done by summoning a barrier block that disappears when he jumps onto the next one.
Noise complain #2354 I have still not hear the noises, he says they are there and I trust him but, why can't I hear them :(. Is something wrong with me? P.S. Today another person claimed they heard the noises too... I feel so alone
I haven't played the map, but the room at 24:53 looks like it can be done without using the expected method. If you place a piece of TNT next (or even 1 block away) from the red block, you can climb up on it to jump to the next checkpoint, just as you would do with the block you are supposed to move. I don't know if that can be considered a bug, but it does let you bypass the expected solving route, thereby defeating the purpose of the puzzle.

Captainsparklez I'm thinking for the double jump blocks what happens is that a command block triggers when you have recently been on a yellow block and where you are currently in the air, then the command block spawns a barrier block that lasts for a very small duration so you get enogh time to jump again. While of course giving you the jump boost that lets you jump pretty high up.

I think it's the sound blocker thingies that block most quiet noises, but I'm not sure.
Isaac Prusky I never hear them either honestly. If I go back and turn my volume up I do.
