Todos los discos son genial, pero el performance es fundamental para los fans, por eso Tarja y Floor se les tiene un cariño especial y Annette esta un poco más abajo. Personalmente me gusta más Floor, al darle más profundidad a los temas.
wow, wow, this is a dangerous question for Nightwish fanbase))) But for me Tarja is an original lead vocalist for Nightwish, one of the reasons why we loved Nightwish a lot of years ago and it was a shock when she left the group. Personally me could not accept anyone else except Tarja (sorry, Anete, you are cool, but different and I was stupid) and I stopped to listen to their new music and returned only last year. Now I'm an adult and I ove and appreciate them all, but it seams most of the songs are better with Floor, but some still are better with Tarja operatic performance (she is the best in it!)

Tarja married Marcello Cabuli December 31, 2002. He was a band manager and now he is hers. They have a daughter Naomi who seems to have inherited a talent for singing from her mother's side of the family. In 2020 during the early months pre lockdowns she put on a show callled Circus Life. As in all the musicians and vocalists were in a ring on the floor. Where Tarja sang with her brother Toni Turunnen. He is himself quite the singer so we can say singing is as she titled her biography ...in my blood! In the start of December she released Best of : Living the dream. Her 1st greatest hits album. And as of Monday January 23, 2023 she will release the full album of her electronic music project Outlanders. She's been working on it since 2014.

Tarja is the original Queen, too much to thank her with no doubt, for your weekly nightwish reactions any song will be well received, and for your other weekly reaction could be for the Actual Nightwish Queen Floor, her Phantom of the Opera is great too, it´s a good choice to start, btw Jack Sparrow (aka Modern Mozar Tuomas Holopainen) is the wizard composing all that great music for all the singers he has had.. Annette is kind of different but she was also a great part of the band in some moment, keep rocking and stay safe!

My favourite is Tarja, closely followed by Floor, then Annette. I have to say though, that the moment i heard the voice that Marko was my personal favourite
Each singer has a different style and strengths, and Tuomas, the keyboardist and mastermind, kept that in mind when he was writing the songs for the different eras. Tarja is mostly operatic, Annette mostly pop/blues, and Floor sings in many styles. From so many of the comments I've read here and on other reactor sites, I think it makes a big difference which one you hear first when you're introduced to Nightwish. It's like you identify that singer with the band most strongly. I prefer Floor most often, but she was the first one I heard, and I heard quite a few from her before I got a chance to hear either Tarja or Annette. I have come to really appreciate both of the other singers, and there are songs each of them sing that I really love because they are the one singing it. As you say, it's definitely a personal choice.

I` m mad about Tarja Turunen! Her vocal art brings too much pleasure to me - it`s a sin, actually (I had to put a restriction to myself - only one hour of Tarja per day, hey I must try to have a life (: )! You need to go to one of her gigs and hear that gigantic, powerful voice (btw. yes, she brakes glasses with it), she will make your spirit leave your body! (: I mean videos are nice, but they can give you, what, 70 - 75 % at best, no matter how much HQ they are. I like Marko`s voice, that`s good old "heavy metal voice". About other singers of "Nightwish" I have no comment! P.S.: Little constructive criticism: next time more listening, and less paying attention to things like her dress, microphone, or dolls certain grown man likes to play with! (:

Please check out PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (OFFICIAL VIDEO) - Tommy Johansson as well. Tommy is the guitarist of sabaton, but he is also incredible singer and he can go really high. He sings also in power metal band called ReinXeed. His version of You raise me up is also incredible. He sings it 1 octave higher than original.
Right after this show Tarja was kicked out of the band, in the turmoil following Tuomas created some beautiful and dramatic songs, culminating in The Poet And The Pendulum. If you ever get to react to that song, please do some background reading first, it will add a lot to your reaction😮

FLOOR without question! Tarja's constant "operatic" voice takes away from the rest of the music and lyrics, IMO. I ONLY listen to Floor's versions and Floor's solos.

Hi guys! This is an excellent version of the song by NW! Tarja and Marko sound beautiful together! She used to change costumes several times in every performance, and always used a microphone matching it... and now in her solo career she still does it! If we can "cheat" the system a bit, for the non-Nightwish reaction you can watch Floor Jansen solo singing this very song when in 2019 she participated in the Dutch TV show called "Beste Zangers" (Best Singers), where she was accompanied by Henk Poort, who was the Phantom for many years, in the Dutch version of the musical. To suggest something from NW in the Decades show in Buenos Aires, it could be "Devil and the deep dark ocean", and something completely different, the song "Pices" by Jinjer in the Live Session version, which is a Progressive Metal band from Ukraine (the logo in my avatar). @@OhMyMole Para escuharlos en otro buen dúo, les puedo recomendar del mismo show "End of an Era" la canción "I wish I had an angel" o sino "Planet hell", en ese orden (aunque Planet me gusta más como canción), sigan disfrutando el viaje, que todavía no llegaron ni a la punta del iceberg! To listen to them in another good duet, I can recommend from the same show "End of an Era" the song "I wish I had an angel" or "Planet hell", in that order (although I like Planet better as a song), keep enjoying the trip, you haven't even reached the tip of the iceberg yet!
