SM messed up so bad with f(x). They are a gold mine that is abandoned. This is one of the many reasons that proved that. Honestly f(x) had so much potential to have grown to be one of the best group
+Jenny Nguyen SM was a much smaller firm back then. They could either focus their resources on the promotion of SNSD (or other bands like TVXQ or Shinee), or f(x). Even with all the support in the world, there is no way f(x) could ever have been as big as the aforementioned groups. SM made the right decision then. Now, SM has more resources and are finally giving f(x) their opportunity to shine. That said, f(x) will always be a somewhat experimental group that will never be truly mainstream.

I don't think there's a male idol in SM that can match Luna's level, not even Jonghyun or Chen. In terms of control, depth of delivery and versatility, no one compares. Maybe, /maybe/ Kyuhyun or Yesung get close, but they lose out at versatility. The only female idol that might be able to rival/match Luna in the future is Wendy, and that's after a long time, after Wendy experiences more things to project more 감정 and hones her technique just a bit more. No one else compares. Vocally, Luna is at the top of SM right now. Fame-wise, she is at the bottom. :(.

Both have improved greatly but from what I can tell, Luna has better control, is more consistent, more supported range, and has developed her registers (especially head voice) more than Taeyeon, although Taeyeon's voice does have more resonance in her singing than Luna does. They're pretty close though, it's like the difference between SM's 2 best male vocalists (Kyuhyun and Ryeowook).

When I first discovered f(x), Luna INSTANTLY became my bias. Great voice, great dancing, and such a warm, beautiful personality. I also loved that she was unconventionally beautiful, and had a different look that made her stand out from most other idols. Why she isn't more popular is beyond me because she's genuinely talented, and you can tell she loves what she does.
She is so underrated. People talk about Taeyeon and Wendy. Don't get me wrong, they are pretty good. But Luna, gurlzz, she is on another level. The power, resonance, range, and technique. What can I say.

+Shreyas Batra So let me get this straight, Luna is f(x)'s best dancer, not Victoria (since you know, she's labeled as the main dancer)? I guess this is another SiStar situation where Hyorin is clearly the best dancer but since she's the main vocals, the title of main dancer is given to Bora. Although it's weird how in Big Bang, TaeYang is labeled the "main vocalist" and "main dancer" despite obviously not being the best vocalist. Anyways, in terms of dancing, I tried looking up dance videos of both (mostly battles since that's when the real skills come out) and it's hard to say who's better between Luna and Hyoyeon (both get repetitive when they freestyle). Either way, the fact that she's that strong of a dancer as well as being (arguably) SM's best female vocalist, I do agree that she's criminally underrated. She's a far superior vocalist compared to BoA also.
Victoria is a fantastic dancer because she's classically trained, which is why she is the main dancer of the group. Since f(x)'s style is very electro-hip-hop-y (for lack of a better term) Luna does excel in their performances - usually more than Victoria. I believe the Hyorin-Bora (though Bora is better trained than Hyorin) situation is very similar to the one with Luna and Victoria. Big Bang is just an enigma to me, Taeyang is labelled as the main vocalist, but Daesung is a better technical singer. Taeyang and Seungri are both fantastic dancers - good enough that I would (personally) consider them both main dancers. Their freestyle (Hyoyeon and Luna) does get quite repetitive after a while, but not having honed their skills or practiced in so long (Hyoyeon with her reality show and group work in Japan, Luna with musicals) that would explain why their freestyle is repetitive. The thing with Luna is; even when she's dancing her hardest, her vocals continue to excel. She continues to hit the notes she's supposed to reach and still has a lot of fun with her performances. She doesn't have the greatest stage presence, but I feel like she could definitely bring her A-game with a fantastic, catchy song and dance (like 24 Hours was for Sunmi, and Bloom was for Gain) to launch her into stardom We just need SM to listen.
Shreyas Batra Ahh okay, I know Victoria is super flexible but yeah, if you excel at different things, it's hard to compare and say who's a better dancer. Since I'm mostly a hiphop choreographer and instructor, I typically look for how they hit their moves, how they're able to control and move their body as well as the overall flow and funkiness of their freestyle and since Luna and Hyorin do those things better, their dancing would naturally shine more in this type of industry. YG is just weird in general because same thing with 2NE1, Bom is actually a worse vocalist than Minzy and CL yet is classified as the main vocalist and although she's praised for her "unique vocals" it's not like CL and Minzy's voices aren't distinct either. I remember in the Friendship Project "You Are a Miracle" (one of my all time favorite songs), Minzy's voice was one of the obvious ones to me, and this was before I was knowledgeable of many Kpop groups. I've actually yet to see a female Kpop dancer that can freestyle extremely well (I would say the same about males since I haven't watched them either, but I'm PRETTY sure there's at least a handful, with Kai, Taemin, and TaeYang instantly coming to mind). That is pretty amazing with Luna since in general that is hard to do since I've only seen like Hyorin and Ailee do that well (I would say Minzy too but her vocal abilities are no where near as great as those 3). I do think in general, she just needs more songs to showcase her spectacular vocals.
Watching this video as well as the video of her revealing her face to everyone, and then seeing her cry made me cry. I'm so proud of our precious Luna who has worked so hard to get to where she is now. She's truly a gift to us f(ans) and the world.

This is might be just my opinion, but honestly i think Luna is the best famale main vocal in SM. Seriously, i dont hate Taeyeon but Luna's voice is more stable, stroger and higher than her. (Cant understand it though) That voice, so soothing, so heartfelt. Deymm. SM what the ump are you doing. Look at Lee Hyorin, singing OST and all that. Let Luna do that and see where that gets her. I love Luna so much. She is so beautiful with such a lovely personality, so cheerful and optimistic. And she gives her all in both singing and dancing. Her voice is out of this world. I have never seen another idol who puts their soul and loves what they do as much as Luna does.

여가수들 고음은 비교적 쉽게 잘 지르는데 루나처럼 저음까지 잘 부르는건 잘 못봤음. 한노래에 3-4가지 목소리가 있는 환상적인 무대였음. 개인적으로 복면에서 가장 인상적인 퍼포먼스였음

She is so underrated. People talk about Taeyeon and Wendy. Don't get me wrong, they are pretty good. But Luna, gurlzz, she is on another level. The power, resonance, range, and technique. What can I say.

Seriously, this chick's dancing skills are better than Hyoyeon "The Dancing Queen" and her singing is technique-wise better than the entirety of SNSD-TTS (Including the "Golden" Taeyeon). How in the hell has SM not given her a solo project/debut yet? She could be the next BoA, if given the chance and a truly fantastic song!

So let me get this straight, Luna is f(x)'s best dancer, not Victoria (since you know, she's labeled as the main dancer)? I guess this is another SiStar situation where Hyorin is clearly the best dancer but since she's the main vocals, the title of main dancer is given to Bora. Although it's weird how in Big Bang, TaeYang is labeled the "main vocalist" and "main dancer" despite obviously not being the best vocalist.
Anyways, in terms of dancing, I tried looking up dance videos of both (mostly battles since that's when the real skills come out) and it's hard to say who's better between Luna and Hyoyeon (both get repetitive when they freestyle). Either way, the fact that she's that strong of a dancer as well as being (arguably) SM's best female vocalist, I do agree that she's criminally underrated. She's a far superior vocalist compared to BoA also.
Victoria is a fantastic dancer because she's classically trained, which is why she is the main dancer of the group. Since f(x)'s style is very electro-hip-hop-y (for lack of a better term) Luna does excel in their performances - usually more than Victoria.
I believe the Hyorin-Bora (though Bora is better trained than Hyorin) situation is very similar to the one with Luna and Victoria.
Big Bang is just an enigma to me, Taeyang is labelled as the main vocalist, but Daesung is a better technical singer. Taeyang and Seungri are both fantastic dancers - good enough that I would (personally) consider them both main dancers.
Their freestyle (Hyoyeon and Luna) does get quite repetitive after a while, but not having honed their skills or practiced in so long (Hyoyeon with her reality show and group work in Japan, Luna with musicals) that would explain why their freestyle is repetitive.
The thing with Luna is; even when she's dancing her hardest, her vocals continue to excel. She continues to hit the notes she's supposed to reach and still has a lot of fun with her performances. She doesn't have the greatest stage presence, but I feel like she could definitely bring her A-game with a fantastic, catchy song and dance (like 24 Hours was for Sunmi, and Bloom was for Gain) to launch her into stardom
We just need SM to listen.

Ahh okay, I know Victoria is super flexible but yeah, if you excel at different things, it's hard to compare and say who's a better dancer. Since I'm mostly a hiphop choreographer and instructor, I typically look for how they hit their moves, how they're able to control and move their body as well as the overall flow and funkiness of their freestyle and since Luna and Hyorin do those things better, their dancing would naturally shine more in this type of industry.
YG is just weird in general because same thing with 2NE1, Bom is actually a worse vocalist than Minzy and CL yet is classified as the main vocalist and although she's praised for her "unique vocals" it's not like CL and Minzy's voices aren't distinct either. I remember in the Friendship Project "You Are a Miracle" (one of my all time favorite songs), Minzy's voice was one of the obvious ones to me, and this was before I was knowledgeable of many Kpop groups.
I've actually yet to see a female Kpop dancer that can freestyle extremely well (I would say the same about males since I haven't watched them either, but I'm PRETTY sure there's at least a handful, with Kai, Taemin, and TaeYang instantly coming to mind).
That is pretty amazing with Luna since in general that is hard to do since I've only seen like Hyorin and Ailee do that well (I would say Minzy too but her vocal abilities are no where near as great as those 3). I do think in general, she just needs more songs to showcase her spectacular vocals.

This is might be just my opinion, but honestly i think Luna is the best famale main vocal in SM. Seriously, i dont hate Taeyeon but Luna's voice is more stable, stroger and higher than her. Over all both of them are good. But Luna, woa i've heard before that shewas passed the audition by her dance not her vocal because she cant sing when she went to the audition. But now, you are the best female main vocal for me. Goosebump

Seriously, If this gem of a singer would remain hidden, it's a huge loss for Kpop entertainment. I mean I SWEAR she can sing a heartfelt song or lullaby like songs or just whatever genre her voice fits into. I could cry juts listening to just the first part. (Cant understand it though) That voice, so soothing, so heartfelt. Deymm. SM what the ump are you doing. Look at Lee Hyorin, singing OST and all that. Let Luna do that and see where that gets her. Her voice would surely tug at the viewer's heartstrings.

I love Luna so much. She is so beautiful with such a lovely personality, so cheerful and optimistic. And she gives her all in both singing and dancing. Her voice is out of this world. I have never seen another idol who puts their soul and loves what they do as much as Luna does.
