Before buying a yak I recommend everyone ask themselves these questions
How many times do you think you will go fishing a month?
How will you transport this yak? Car top? Truck bed? Trailer?
Where will you store this long term?
Have you ever done this before? Kayaks? Paddleboard? Surfing/Skating?

I got given a kayak and I'm wondering if it would be possible to use for fishing. It's not a fishing kayak, it's more just a recreational one. I would be fishing salt water. At first I'd just fish within a bay by the local port which is quite sheltered, but at some point I'd like to consider open water, although I'm kinda terrified of that. But do you think a kayak like that could be fitted for some basic fishing?

    • @wendellfishing
