Ok, I fixed the phone like this. I asked Siri to enable assistive touch then I used that to press phone>more> restart. After it restarted it turned on and worked like normal.

Brilliant advise sorted my frozen screen straight away by holding volume down and off button at the same time super star thanks
This doesnt work, it contact's emergency services. I used the volume up then press the volume down button and then hold the power button and nothing else and wait till you see a black screen, then your phone will work again. Hope this comment helps better then the video :)

Ok I fixed it. I asked Siri to enable assistive touch then I used that to press phone>more> restart. After it restarted it turned on and worked like normal.
This was absolutely no help, the siren sound means your calling emergency services .first responders get thousands of these calls because apple cannot get their s**t straight . This makes the real 911 calls harder to sort out .

It just fucking happened to me I’m 14 and it was 2:30am and I was trying to use this video to fix it and I heard a siren I’m new to Apple and I wasn’t sure what was going on. Minutes later there was banging on the door and three police were at my house. Apple seriously red to fix this.
Alright I know I’m late but all you have to do is click the up volume quick then the bottom volume quick after, then only hold the power but, it works but never helped my scree it’s legit all frozen

I tried following the directions provided in this video, however it kept calling 911, however depending on your situation, the following steps listed below may help you out.
- Press the "up" volume button once, then release....then;
- Press the "down" volume" button once, then release....then;
- Press and hold the side button until your screen goes black...then;
- Wait until you see the apple logo (if you don't see the apple logo after a minute or so, press the side button once, then you should eventually see the apple logo and your screen should no longer be locked).
This was very frustrating for me, so I completely understand. Leave a reply comment to let me know if these steps were helpful.

For me when I held down on the volume down button and the off button it called the police do not do this they were really nice though I said it was accidental tbh I was kinda worried from the noise please don't do false things like this I was stressing when I heard calling noises

Well, for me I just had to wait until it turned off by itself, (without me restarting) and then when it turned black screen like normally, I tapped it and everything was working :)
