They could boop around by the fish, get some shots of little black goggle-eyed goldfish, possibly ask them for a dead fish (I'm sure there'll be plenty 😡) so they can take it home & give the poor thing a funeral, play with the rats if they have them because that might bring some joy into the complicated little smart guys' sad lives...lots to do that absolutely _isn't_ buying a living thing from them. It is a seriously good idea I think: it's certainly funny in my head. Most places do adoption events too, perhaps they could go on one of those day, maybe find themselves a road dog? At least they could get down & play with puppies, and _YES PLEASE_ to that footage!!! Or they could go with a friend who's susceptible to adopting cats? It's a good idea for a video _and_ it has little avenues of potential good deeds as well as great footage. ...and then there would be a potential second short & at least one long-form piece with the fish funeral. Either finding a place to give them the fish (if for some baffling reason Petco/PetSmart says no they could go to PetSmart/Petco instead), having the funeral, throwing on the dirt, a silly musical goodbye to fISh (showcasing that mad talent)... if someone in their group does calligraphy they could film writing an old-timey letter communicating the fish's death (or an old-timey request for information followed by a big-letter crayon chicken scratch "FIsH deAd sENd $$$"), or a funeral invitation being drawn out... I just want watch pretty musicians do funny. The more the better.
