    Good job. That is what I'm going to do to mine when I change the timing chains

    I think you need to prime oil pumps if you want them to work pack them with petroleum jelly they work off suction and won't just start working without that help

      Can you explain that a little more? I'm about to do this and want to make sure I do it correctly

    What size torx does it take for the oil pump cover

    Can a oil pump be reused?

      @@BulliKid I found somewhere 56 Inch pound, doesn't feel very tight for how tight they were getting off, but we'll see, replacing the balance and timing chains on mine, new sprockets and all, just put balance on and left rest for another day

      Good work! Just maintenance or did u have a problem?

  • @rpenrose24
    @rpenrose24 3 года назад +1

    Why take it all apart? Couldn’t you just drain the oil, fill it with diesel, run it briefly, drain it, fill with diesel again, run it briefly, drain it, fill it with oil?

      I have the engine out of the car.

    • @DevonBbrown
      @DevonBbrown 2 года назад +1

      Will that clean out the engine and increase oil pressure?

    • @rpenrose24
      @rpenrose24 2 года назад +1

      @@DevonBbrown Yes. It will. Don’t let it come close to operating temp, and drain it after running for like 30-40 seconds. Drain it threw a screen to see the crap it pulls it out, check for metal flakes and filings.
