@@MyVadson Yeah. This is the best Villa have been since Martin O'Neil. But Brian Little and John Gregory, and even Ron Saunders' and Graham Taylor's Villa teams were all cooking also. The truth is, Aston Villa were very good throughout the early era of the Premier League. Many seem to have forgotten that, and think Villa were last good back in the 80s team who won the European Cup.

Chelsea fan here. I have hate for a lot of clubs in the league and think a lot of them are gonna be cheeks this season but villa this season are looking really good, i’ll probably tune into a good chunk of your games because it just looks like good football man it’s refreshing, respect to your organization and unai for making the club what it is today 👏🏼

I know its a pre-season match but I am so proud of the whole squad. They have worked so hard to meet Emery's standards and to improve on the end of last season. And on top of that to integrate so well with the new teammates is amazing. I know thru the season we'll hit hills and valleys, if we do we shake off and go again, if we do it won't be due to a lack of effort.

Agree with all of the above. I'd keep Philogene ideally, and blood him in over the season. Seems more tactically astute and positionally flexible than Bailey, who though talented, is one of the few players that has struggled to adapt to Emerys style. Olsen, Digne, and Bailey will all eventually move on... decent players but not for our system. Can't wait for the Ramsey comeback post international break... UTV

Great performance tonight. Special mention to tielmens what a performance to have him Kamara and Doug in them spots are something most clubs in the league would crave. Well done villa were building something really good here in my opinion on to Saturday where I expect to see something similar to our first 11 if we even have one these days the squad is that strong.

Their keeper is solid. Watkins readjusted because of his little fake in the penalty which led to the save. You can see him pointing out mcginn before the second goal and then no one gets on mcginn. No wonder he was yelling
