Hi, Im also a tuba player. I am doing this solo for an audition. Are there any tips that you could give me about playing this well. When i reach for the notes in the upper register, they come out low and fuzzy. Is there anything that you did that helped?
Paul Haroshavitz: I would make sure that your air has plenty of support for the upper register. Keep the air spinning so it moves fast. Also try to think "light" throughout the piece. Remember, we have to be as horn-like as possible. Hope this helps and good luck!
I know it has been a while since you posted this, but do you remember who the publisher or the transcriber of this piece was, because I have always loved it on the french horn but have never been able to find its sheet music for tuba
