      I believe it’s what you can’t see. Like the concrete houses the drain iron plate that goes on top it’s concrete and so that would be covered up by grass almost so no telling how high it’s coming out of the grass because the grass is pretty thick so if underneath it about an inch or two might be that concrete slab and he would hit the lip of it coming down there for the bed because if he tries to check for it in the ball moves he’s got a stroke in the grass is very thin so if you push some of it and just roll down to the grading

    • @stephenwalker6980
      @stephenwalker6980 2 года назад

      It's the follow through that's dangerous, you hit down on the ball with an iron, if he had caught the edge of the grate, it could have ended his career.

    • @69mickswagg
      @69mickswagg 2 года назад

      @@stephenwalker6980 you actually don't hit down on the ball with irons. It actually doesn't go far below the ball at all. Thats a good way to screw up a shot. The angle is already whats needed. You hit it straight on and the iron angle does all the work.

    • @stephenwalker6980
      @stephenwalker6980 2 года назад +1

      @@69mickswagg you hit the ball with a desending blow, your follow through should take a shallow divot in front of the ball. I played golf for many years, the way you describe is a recipe for thin shots that won't stop on the green.
