Thankyou...just making my first 3 tier planter....gonna put fairy light on it and illuminate my high stairwell.. Wanted a long hanger for so long.. I've fallen in love with macrame after 1 hr..🤗 x
I wonder how can people give a thumbs down to such a beautiful creation!! Keep going dear. You made my day!! I going to make this for my grand daughters room.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts it's OK if you don't like something .... so what! Don't show it and discourage others from what they are doing by showing thumbs down. I wonder why u tube has made this feature.
RUclips was going to change this and just show the percentage of thumbs ups. So if there are some thumbs down you might see 97% thumbs up. And they were going to eliminate the thumbs down. Not sure when they were going to do this. It is also known in the RUclips world that there are so called trolls out there that don’t even watch the video they just click on thumbs down to be disrespectful. I have learnt this so I try not to let the thumbs down bother me.
This is a great video, thank you very much for posting. However, if I wanted to use some stemless wine glasses or mason jars that don't have much of a rim like the planting pot in this video, how should I do the knots around the glasses/jars?
This is great! Thank you so much, I can't wait to try it! One question, are the rings in between the pots absolutely necessary? If I want to use the same 2 colors throughout, can I omit the rings, or do they provide extra support or something?
The rings are used to tie of the first hanging plant and used to add the next strands to start the next hanger. That is how I designed this 3 tier plant hanger to work.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Thanks for the quick reply! But I guess what I'm wondering is if you think it would be possible to start the next hanger by just continuing with the beginning pattern (8 square knots, bead, 8 square knots, etc.) after the strands come together at the bottom of the first pot?
i started and finished this today but made only 2 layers and 2 colors... and a little different on the bottom part, i didn't do more square knots instead i just tied it. Thanks so much for sharing ur great talent...im planning to do ur matching wall macrame this week! :D i just dont know how to share photos here :D
Yarn is really stretchy and with the weight of the pots, plants and water it will really pull it down and not look very good. The cotton yarn doesn’t have much stretch at all and it is stronger so a better choice for this project.
Crafty Patti cool ! make sure you show us your painting 💜💛💚 yeah I'm the same , always got my finger in every pie lol . got 2 bears I need to finish and another of your owls on the go .
It’s hard to give you an exact as I would have to try it. The 4mm cord will definitely take up more length. I would add 1 more metre or yard to each strand. I designed the three tier with lots of room in between so if your running out of length than adjust the design a bit and make the tiers slightly closer together.
I was excited to find this yarn at Michaels to make this project. Since then they are no longer selling it. I can't find it as well. So disappointing. I have found this substitution for you. Have a look and see if you like it. This project could be redesigned to make without the rings. it’s just how I decided to design this 3 tier plant hanger. You could also cut the strands 3 times as long as the first section and make 3 sections all in one without the rings. You don’t have to add the beads.
I made my own version of this .. how do I upload my pic? 1st tier is purple n blue with a round purple ceramic pot Tier 2 pink n blue with a square pink ceramic pot Tier 3 with purple n pink with a round purple ceramic pot .. turned out awesome .. too bad I cannot upload a picture
Hi Donna, My apologies. I try to answer all comments and somehow I missed yours. I would love to see your plant hanger. I post my viewers works of art on my Crafty Patti business face book page. If you like you can send me your photos to craftypatti60@gmail.com.
I’m so sorry to hear that. That is sad. I used Bernat bulky #5 cotton yarn and it is holding strong. I have 3 light weight spider plants that do not weigh very much and my pots are plastic so there is not much weight there as well.
Translation Superb or have you buy your equipment Sorry. This didn’t translate well. If your asking where I bought my yarn and rings then the answer is Michaels craft store and the plant pots I bought from Home Depot. Pardon. Cela ne s'est pas bien traduit. Si vous me demandez où j'ai acheté mon fil et mes bagues, alors la réponse est le magasin d'artisanat Michaels et les pots de plantes que j'ai achetés chez Home Depot.
Wow Patti this is beautiful! I love the colors you chosen. Can you tell me how you make your own beads and also where you buy your products for macrame? And thank you so much to take the time to teach us!
I have published a video on how to make beads for macrame. Here is the link for the bead making tutorial ruclips.net/video/KZRg7DwkzxI/видео.html I look for yarn or craft supplies at Michaels Craft store or local dollar stores and I buy most of my Macrame cord on Amazon. Unfortunately they are not selling the Bernat bulky yarn anymore that I used for this project. Very disappointing as it was cotton with no stretch and the perfect size in diameter. Sorry about that. You can also dye macrame cord if you want to try and match the colours. I have a video on that as well. Here’s the link on how to dye macrame cord or rope. ruclips.net/video/Pvovf4qlLKI/видео.html

Oh that will be so pretty. Enjoy your 3 tier macrame hanger!
loved the way you taught Ma'am . idea of berry knot was just perfect to balance cords. thank you so much

Those who give a thumbs down are frustrated that they don't even know what's a macrame.
I was looking for a tutorial for these projects Thank you so much for making this so easy to follow.
That's great! Glad you found my channel!
Nice trabalho belismo parabéns amiga munto top este trabalho de macrame ❤💖👍
Obrigado
you are amazing Patti , love it !
Thanks! I have lots of yarn left over. Hmmm what to make next.
Love it!! Working on this now!! Thank you for this tutorial!
Thanks, and your very welcome!
Loved the design
Another GORGEOUS project, love your channel and one day I'm gonna get brave enough to try this plant hanger and the wall decor. Well done Patti 😊
Thks and it's really not that hard. You can do it!
Your an excellent teacher! So talented!!!!
Thks for your nice comment Kathleen. It helps me to let me know I’m on the right track.
I just found you! Thank you for the tutorials, I love this one. Beautiful!
Glad you found me! Lots more tutorials to come!

You will just tie your knots closer together. Insert your jar and give it a test. Adjust your knots till it surrounds your jar nicely.

Yes, you could do that but you will have to recalculate how long to cut each strand so you have enough to do three hangers all in one go.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts great, thanks!

Yeah! Sounds good! Have fun with the wall hanging! I'm sure your macrame plant hanger looks great!
Thank you very much for the fact that you are very nice🌷🌷🌷
Beautiful !
loved loved loved it
Yeah!!!
Can I make this with a worsted weight yarn (#4) single strand?
Yarn is really stretchy and with the weight of the pots, plants and water it will really pull it down and not look very good. The cotton yarn doesn’t have much stretch at all and it is stronger so a better choice for this project.
Oooooh what about a matching table runner ! you are so creative x
Haha. I just knew you would come up with another idea. We shall see. Working on a painting right now cause I just love to do it all.

i will publish my painting in a couple weeks from now. Would love to see your owls!
Crafty Patti oh I thought I put them on your FB page ok I'll inbox them to you 😆
If you did this pattern with a thicker cord such as 4 mm craft cord, how long would you cut the cords? I love your pattern by the way :-)
It’s hard to give you an exact as I would have to try it. The 4mm cord will definitely take up more length. I would add 1 more metre or yard to each strand. @@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Thank you for the reply. I'm going to give it a try, but maybe just 2 tiers.
I really like the pots you used. Where can I find them?
I had bought them form Home Depot. I like pots that have the built in draining trays.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Thank you. I'm glad I found your channel. 😍😃
Glad you found me too!
I love it, l will make it, thank you.
Yeah!! Your welcome!
wow,thanks for sharing.im gonna try this❤️
Your very welcome. Have fun making your plant hanger!
Simply superb dear👌🏼😍
How many cords total we have to take?
To make the 3 tiers you would need 12 cords for each tier. So a total of 36 cords.
Could you possible link the yarn you used I for the life of me can’t find it.

@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts ok thanks
If I were to only use one type of cord, but still do the three tier design, how long of a cord should I get?
If you want 1 color only for all three tiers than you will about 70 yards.
Crafty Patti ok, thank you so much! Loved the video!
I made my own version of this .. how do I upload my pic?
1st tier is purple n blue with a round purple ceramic pot

What kind of yarn is it? I found that yard doesn't last. Lasted me a whole year that day I came home my pots were broken on the ground. I cried.
I’m so sorry to hear that. That is sad. I used Bernat bulky #5 cotton yarn and it is holding strong. I have 3 light weight spider plants that do not weigh very much and my pots are plastic so there is not much weight there as well.
Can you tell me how long this is?
Each section is about 2 ft long but you can make it any length you want to fit your space.
