  • Welcome to Beverly Hills, California. This video brings us to N. Maple Drive in the flats of Beverly Hills. We will be walking by the former home of George Burns and Gracie Allen, two Hollywood comedic legends. George Burns lived in this home until his death in 1996.
George Burns was an American comedian, actor, writer, and singer, and one of the few entertainers whose career successfully spanned vaudeville, radio, film and television. His career spanned over 75 years.

I grew up in a neighborhood that had big beautiful trees. We had a giant chestnut tree in our front yard. George Burns was lucky to have a wonderful life! Xoxo REST IN PEACE❤

George fell in his bathroom in 1994 and that slowed him down a lot. George was driven in a black Cadillac Seville in later years, and if he was in the mood, he'd have his driver stop and say hello to fans out front. The house may look like just a very well-kept home, but I just looked it up online, and it's worth over $13 million.

My grandfather loved all the old TV shows, so when they came on in re-runs when I was younger we would watch them together, which made me a fan of any of them anytime they were on, would have been cool to see GB out on his driveway talking to the fans.

Funny how we would nowadays consider this a somewhat modest house for someone of George Burns stature, and for Beverly Hills.
I grew up in the Hollywood Hills in the 1960s/early 70s and many Actors, musicians, and television personalities lived in the same area that we did. I had always imagined that these people would have lived in the largest mansions in Beverly Hills. My mom taught us that they were our neighbors and to respect their privacy just like any other neighbor.
It was predominantly the nosy tourists who violated their privacy.
I remember going trick or treating in 1968 with my friend and our younger brothers, across the hill in the Hollywood Knolls. There was a dark house with a long walkway to the front door. We made our brothers go first and knock on the door. Vincent Price opened the door and loudly said “what do you want.” You never saw four kids run so fast. He called us back to the house, gave us full size candy bars, and was very nice. He was laughing the whole time.
    Neighbors.

Such a kind and gentle man he was.... A true entertainer who loved his craft and Gracie along his many fans.
What a class act he was, true but sadly Classic Hollywood was turned into Hellish Hollyweird.

Had a great sense of fun.
Loved watching him in Wendy and Me where I’m sure his wacky humour really shone.
I recall the scene where he was walking through his apartment and in the lounge area was a piano with a guy just sitting quietly 🤣
    Real off beat stuff.
He’s with his beloved Gracie now ❤

Gracie burned her arm when she was younger and only wore 3/4 lenght sleeves. Her children didn't believe she could swim. To prove she could, she put on a swimsuit, and swam in the pool. The one and only time she swam in the pool.

Ok. You're made a video of the streets in Beverley Hills, plus pictures of the exteriors of the house. Nice that you also showed a 'picture' of one interior room. This was Not a tour of the home. False advertising.

I didn’t advertise it as a home tour. These videos show the locations where people lived and where famous/notable things happened in history.

I didn't care for Burns' creaky humor, but he seemed a nice guy. Very few Palestinians live in the US, especially in Beverly Hills. The protestors you see on TV are Americans, almost always white, and, I'm guessing, privileged with little to complain about. There are dozens, maybe hundreds of places on the internet for this kind of comment.
