I couldn’t be more excited to see a Nightmare before Christmas series, can’t wait to see what you’ll do next!!! Could Oogie’s little henchman be a possibility for a future creation..? 👀
My favorite characters are Lock, Stock and Barrel in the walking bath tub. That would be a challenge to sculpt!!! P.S. - Would have been cool to paint the bugs in his mouth with glow in the dark paint!
I love Nightmare Before Christmas too, that kind of movies (sculptures in stop motion) are my favs 💜 Corpse Bride is my favorite, I also love Coraline and ParaNorman 💜
I met one of the people who worked on this movie, he sculpted all of jacks heads. He complimented my art and let me hug him, (twice, because he also worked on Jurassic Park) and it will forever be one of the best days of my life
@@mat_0334 that's awfully mean If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. We are all entitled to an opinion but doesn't always mean we have to say our thoughts out loud -_-
As someone who is just getting started in clay, I LOOOVE how simple you make things. I would really love to see your take on a Japanese Hannya mask since I am working on one now! I think you could really make something great.
I was just watching "9" and thinking how how cool a scolpture of the puppets would look and than this video shows up i mean... same vibe lol Awsome job!
Ace, You have made the most awesome character from TNBC. I am an addict of the movie, music and the characters. I think it would be awesome to see your interpretation of Jack. You did an amazing job on Oogie and these type of characters are so your element. The detail work is incredible. Well done Ace.
I don't know how you get a weeks worth of work and show so much detail into a short 18 min. video. I love the character but that burlap texture is so distinct and really makes the character. I loved the lighting effect. Enjoy watching and learning. 😁👋💖
Fun Fact: Oogie Boogie was the hardest character to animate in The Nightmare Before Christmas. His figure was heavy and hard to move. They even cut out a segment of his song because of that.

I am SO thrilled for this! I ADORE the nightmare before christmas! I'd love to see the three witches, or scarecrow jack from the opening. And of course SALLY! Oogie looks spot in here, so cool.
I can tell you took some extra care in sculpting Oogie Boogie, really shows your admiration for the source material. I’d like to see you make a creepy robot. Like, something based on False Maria from Metropolis or the Terminator from the titular film or Hal 9000 from 2001: a Space Odyssey.
The nightmare before Christmas means so much to me and just seeing one of my favourite RUclipsrs starting to make sculptures of the characters warms my heart! I hope you'll be able to sculpt Zero some time soon. He's the cutest little pup and I love him so much!
Once again this sculpt is amazing I’ve watched it 8 times now. I think the clown with a tear away face would be a great character from Nightmare before Christmas.
I just got your sculpt kit today. I used to sculpt when I was younger and decided to start back after you inspired me. I’m creating the cake toppers for my daughters wedding. Their theme inspiration? Tim Burton! Perfect timing on this series of projects.
Came out great! The texture really sells it. I am glad this movie wasn't around when I was a kid. I found it disturbing as an adult! 😁 I too love stop motion animation, it is fascinating. But Oogie Boogie is by far the scariest character to me. He truly is the stuff of nightmares.
What skill you have! Looking forward to the next NMBC character you sculpt. After this series I’d love to see you sculpt a mermaid, maybe a mercenary mermaid. Beautiful but deadly!
Only backstory I've heard, fanfic, was that he was from another town like Creepville or Insect something, a holiday that had been completely forgotten so it began to vanish and he went looking for another and found Halloween town and decided to try to take it over but Jack beat him and banished him to his lair which is why he never leaves it, he's not allowed.
as much as i love this movie, and i love it with all of my heart, i’ll always resent tim burton for being blatantly racist (he said black people don’t fit his “aesthetic”)
He isn’t racist, stop reaching because of some interview from 5 years ago. The man hired Samuel L Jackson, he also works with an unbelievable amount of POC behind the scenes from camera operators, art department, set design. Grow up and stop following the hype of cancel culture.
Had to pause this and go listen to Oogie Boogie singin to Santa. Love it! I was late to the Nightmare party but over the last few years Ive really grown to love it, and this totally does him justice.
You nailed Oogie Boogie! Nightmare is one of my top fav movies too. We got married on Halloween and had Nightmare as our theme! You could do all the characters in Halloweentown and have subject matter for months!
Amazing! I spent about 10 years working with polymer clay and I never thought of making him 🤦♀️ you did a great job! Before you I never thought of a dental tool for small details, genius! Well done!
I’m obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton. I have 3 tattoos of Nightmare Before Christmas along with a huge collection including the animatronics.
I was so hoping you were going to make a little rip in the seam on one side and have a little bug crawling out.😆 Oogie turned out great! I love this film too and watch it at least once a year - sometimes at Halloween, sometimes at Christmas. I would love to see sculptures of Lock, Shock and Barrel!

Or the band? Oogie Boogie and Jack with Zero are my faves. Your channel in awesome too, love it.
This came out so cool! Only thing it's missing is his bug tongue or the one that hangs off his head point. It would have added a nice contrast of bright color. Or adding some neon/black light paint to the base. But it's glorious all the same.
What do you think of Oogie Boogie?? And which TNBC characters should I make next?
Check me out on IG and Twitter: @aceofclay
It's absolutely awesome!
*No surprise there.*
the science dude
So awesome!!!
I'd like to see how you'd sculpt the Joker.
The three kids would be awesome
You should totally do a sculpture of the three children riding in the moving bathtub (bathtub included) from, The Nightmare Before Christmas!!
Shock, Lock and Barrel!
Lock, shock , & barrel would be dope
Lock, shock, and barrel?? That would be extremely amazing
I agree
