I have the Prada and ironically my 3 year old got into it today. If I smell as good as he does with it, I need to wear it more often. I love it.
I just got me Prada Black yesterday and wore it today. Not a beast mode type of fragrance, sits close to the skin and lasted on my skin about 5 to 6 hours. I like it very much.
I've only smelled Gentleman Reserve Privee once, but I absolutely loved it! The only reason I don't own it is because I've already got a bottle of Dior Homme Intense and I think it would be a little redundant at my early stage of fragrance collecting. And of course Fragrancebuy is excellent and I would suggest anyone to buy from them!
Luna Rossa black has always gotten me unsolicited compliments love that one. Just grabbed a 100ml of Reserve privee cause fragbuy had it on sale. already have the edp and cologne so I'm excited to try this one.

Yes I purchased Gentleman Givenchy reserve Privee almost a year ago and it's a good scent. And it changes on my skin as time goes by. Great for cold weather and nights out on the town. Great review JC and I hope you enjoy them both.

Picked up Luna Rossa Black yesterday. I already have Luna Rossa Carbon and found it didn’t perform well at all so was a bit hesitant to get another from the range. The Luna Rossa Black is absolutely stunning and lasted ages when I wore it in the evening. Definitely worth buying.
Love the troll editing at 4:24 in. I can easily imagine you liking Reserve Prive more than Luna Rossa Black. You have yet to experience the magic on skin. Then again, it's not a scent that has a lot of development on skin, it's pretty linear. Still, quite unique. Both of them are really original. Hope you can enjoy them!
Enjoyment of masculine powdery scents is definitely a must for LR:Black. It's my "if I only had to pick one" scent. That blend of powder with vanilla with almost a sharpened pencil-accord mixing wood and a hint of graphite - amazing for me on my skin , but of course I am a huge fan of powdery masculine scents 😁

I just got my Triumph of Baccus and Bacio Immortale in waiting on the Pour Homme. Fair to say that the 2 I have gotten in are some of the best fragrances my nose has come across. I won't write off fragrances, but I'm finding myself much more interested in "Niche and Indie" houses now. Their scents are so much more of an experience for me that I can't go back to the same old DNA to which I was first attracted. It's gotta be about the fragrance now and not the house's name for me. Thanks for helping me find my way around this fragrance thing appreciate I have been growing these last couple of months.

I put my order in for Reserve Privee full retail a few days ago and box is en route. What a great scent for the price!!
I bought Prada Black from Macy's and gave it a run and took it back. I heard someone describe the opening as old ladies at church and that's my take. It's tough on the nose, however the dry down is really good. I just can't bring myself to spray this and walk out the door with any confidence in my scent. I guess it's the amber or whatever, but it's really tough on my nose.
Prada Luna Rossa Black did nothing to me to be honest, but I absolutely adore the Givenchy Gentleman Réserve Privée, most probably in my Top 5

I have to admit JC. They both run neck and neck for me. I have them both and really love each one. I dare say that Luna Rossa Black is far and away the best of the line. Smelled Ocean and wasn't impressed. Carbon runs a distant second. Every time I wear LR Black, I get notices and compliments from the ladies. It's a banger. I finally got my hands on the GG Reserve Privee last month after searching for quite a bit. It was sold out everywhere for a while along with Boss The Scent Private Accord which I'm still looking to add to my set. GGRP has a great scent profile, nothing ground breaking but done exceptionally well I think and perfect for the season we're in. I wore it several times over the holidays and really enjoyed it.
Both great fragrances, my favorite of the two is the Gyvenchi, the only downside for me is the longevity, I do like Prada black, it’s different from everything else I’ve smelled, aside from anything else in that line.

They're both still up on the site. I also agree FB cannot be beat most of the time if there is something I'm interested in it's usually on there. I could not stop thinking about Luna Black ever since trying it out at an Ulta randomly. Though I have been waiting so long to finally get it now that I can it would be redundant for me to get it lol.

I was able to get PLR Black thru Fragrancenet at a great price, and received it yesterday. My wife and adult kids love it, and also several of my clients and barber brothers after wearing it today. Sadly the longevity is very weak. The scent is amazing and I truly love it, but wish it had more projection and longevity. Still a banger. Can’t wait to get my hands on GR Privee.

Am not familiar with Prada Black, but if it is as powdery as you describe it, it is just not for me. Givenchy Gentleman and I go a long way back. I discovered the 1974 original back in the mid 1990s and it remains one of my favorites. Not for everyone, brash leathery animalic, unapologetic but has lots of character. The Reserve Privee is a bit too boozy for me. I do like the Normal EDP (those names!) but my absolute favorite of this line (so far) is the Boisee. It has a bit of geranium and black pepper in the tops which makes it to my nose reminiscent to another Givenchy favorite the Xeryus Rouge. That vibe continues even throughout the dry down and I keep getting wafts of it along with the woody bases. The sandalwood is very gentle and makes it so interesting.
I have a modern bottle of the original Gentleman, and I'm certain it's not what it used to be. But it is still not for everyone. Interesting for sure.

Creamy fresh scents I like are Eight & Bob Original, Alfred Sung Homme, Amouage Reflection Man, Creed Original Santal, and Margiela at the Barber's.
