Those small Match up amps plays&sounds unbelievable (when tuned properly). I did not believe it before I used first piece for install. And after about one hour of playing loud it is still not hot :))
I have PP 62DSP in my Volvo XC60 and I’m running with that 3-way front and a sub. So I have cut and solder some wires to get it working like that. But if I like to put it in another car I just have to buy a new wire harnes. That small DSP has been amazing, but soon it won’t anymore suit for my needs. So I will get a Helix DSP 3.S and Helix M six amplifier taking care of my front and if I ever need more channels and power it’s easy to upgrade. That DSP has been grate for a learning how to tune and get familiar with Audiotech Fisher’s products. Nothing bad to say about Match amplifier DSP’s.
Hey Peter! Great video as always! As for Dinamica and Alcantara, Alcantara was actually in a court battle with dinamica because they are almost exactly the same. Both are synthetic materials. Can also be interchangeable to Ultra suede.
Hi Peter I noticed you use a lot of single ended rca connections instead of twisted pair. Does it make a difference and how would I know which rcas to use. Helix dsp.3 to Mosconi as100.4 amplifier.
What harness did you use to avoid cutting into the original wiring harness? I'm looking to add a sub to mine and would be great if I could avoid splicing into the speaker cables.
Hey Peter, I finally had my Helix DSP installed on the weekend and am also running a conductor. My tuner has given me 3 presets (Factory radio preset tune, BT HEC Card preset tune, Analog in tune). Is there a way to have another preset option that can switch rear fill (differential or stereo full) somewhere on the conductor? If we set that option as preset option 4 on the wheel, then I lose my tune presets :( Any advice welcome!
Differential rearfill requires virtual processing and routing in order to be able to control levels on the Conductor too. I don’t understand why you have different presets for different inputs. Input signal can be set in the software for automatic signal detection and switch over. I wonder what else was set on that DSP.. 😳
@@pssound9749 You are right, we have auto signal detect turned on and the input switches over automatically but my tuner said there is a different tune profile per input device. I guess not all devices output the same so each device needs different EQ and settings. Does this sound about right to you? So different EQ for factory radio VS BT card VS Fiio player?
@@soopamarcus1 that is true. HEC HD BT & Fiio shouldn’t have a big difference in spectral balance, speaker level input surely has, but there is input EQ for that too

Hi I’ve just seen your email too. This setup is rather more expensive than just a simple upgrade. As you could see from the video, the midbass install is rather time-consuming done properly the way we did, kinda making it one of the least favourite cars to work on. Also, this system was built for fully active system with extra speaker cable running to the doors, so the tweeters in the sail panels can be controlled independently from the DSP. There’s gonna be a next episode shared tomorrow to show the progress of this system. As it stands in this video, this is around a £4.5k investment. You can surely get a simpler solution from other shops, like using passive 2way components for the front doors, plastic mounting frame for aftermarket speakers, everything done in a simpler way, then the cost could be reduced probably to around £3k with decent gear & installation cost.
@@pssound9749 Hi thanks for your reply, having did bit more research on the vehicle it does seem the B class Mercedes was designed by a sound hater. I have the AMG line premium+ but my 2007 BMW 1 series has better sound quality with factory speakers than the B class. The wife would crucify me if I spent this much on a sound upgrade 😆

what I dig about your channel is all the experimentation that happens for a good sounding system.

Amazing! Quick one, where did you pull the power cable through ? I can't find a grommet anywhere to pull the power cable through

In this one iirc it was behind the control panels in the centre or if you have a CD player in the glove box, then it’s behind that.
ISUBS under the seats as the next upgrade?
No, not in this one. We discussed the next step in the video.
What's the size of the holes for the rivnuts? Thank you.
