2:13 its actually very much a korean thing. All korean schools mandatorily teach english and it is pretty much looked down upon if you arent bilingual. In korea education is like the top priority for everyone so like most kids and teenagers go to like several academies outside of school and just study non stop 😭. im pretty sure Korean students learn calculus in 7th or 8th grade opposed to 12th grade in the US. Also, Korean borrows a LOT of words from English. For example ice cream, computer, wine, hotel are all the same in korean
