About the MBTI thing. The personality type cant change. Its just that the tests do not really work. Also the letters E or I do not mean someone has to be extraverted or introverted. It defines wether the dominant cognitive function is extraverted or introverted. Each personality type has four out of eight cognitive functions (thinking, feeling, sensing, intuition) that are either directed outwardly or inwardly (extraverted/introverted). For example ISFPs cognitive functions: 1. introverted feeling (Fi) 2. extraverted sensing (Se) 3. introverted intuition (Ni) 4. extraverted thinking (Te) There is more to it but i dont want to explain all that rn. Cognitive functions are way more important than the actual letters, but yeah a lot of people spread misinformation about MBTI Anyway, MBTI only gives information about how people take decisions and its not important to know but it can help to have a better understanding a person. Hope this helps
how sweet at the beginning it starts strong but you feel later that they add or (repeat) just to make it a full song but the start of the song is really good
This was painful to watch…. I appreciate that Atom really seems to enjoy New Jeans. I realize I’m supposed to appreciate the honesty but considering we came the realization pretty early on in this video that he seems to hate this music (while acknowledging they can sing)…. mmmm just rough to watch. There are some other song I would have recommended in place of a couple of these but I wouldn’t enjoy sitting through all the criticism again. I personally enjoy their music a lot, I totally vibe on it and I think the repetition is somehow cohesive with my personality. I can listen to New Jeans on repeat.
i think you guys just aren't fans of the genres they incorporate in general... supershy and eta are 'uk garage' a clubland sound thats made for dancing most songs in the genre have that repetitive nature and i'm a huge fan of the genre so those two songs are in my top 5 of new jeans song... 'how sweet' is 'miami bass' another clubland dance sound and again most songs in the genre have that repetitive sound.. you make the 'rave' reference and thats the genres they mostly incorporate so i think you might be missing the point.... most of their music is based on 'rave' 'clubland' genres. i prefer thse genres to rnb so for me attention and cookie are their weaker songs. different strokes for different folks.. (i'm not a fan of the trap/aggressive rap style of blackpink for example)but you guys would probably much prefer their rnb songs... for me none of their rnb songs make my playlist... apart from bubblegum
My favorite song by them is Gods. I know is produced by league of legends music team, but it brings out something SO DIFFERENT from what they usually produce. I absolutely love their voices there. But I also love New Jeans and Attention, this is probably my top 3. I loved your view points!!! See you next time!
I really love "How Sweet" and the sweet summer feeling it evokes! And TBH "Ditto" and "New Jeans" should be a part of a video like this [we need a part 2 soon].
i wanted to say something on the ETA concept, as you can see it’s about a girl who’s cheated on and her friends tell them to hurry up. That’s why we here horns and the song in general is loud, it can be annoying but it fits the concept. It’s also the same in almost all their songs int he album, ETA, ASAP, super shy (wait a minute), get up (meet me back in five),
Idk guys I feel like if your a true Newjeans fan you should be able to pronounce all the members names 😭 like especially if they’re your second favorite group
the guy from the left is trying his best to find one thing that he's going to hate lmao grow up dude not every song is supposed to be loud or hype beat.

I tend to notice that that depending on how deep you are into the arts, the more enjoyable NewJeans tends to be. The juxtaposition of super shy’s choreography to the lyrics and feel is addicting for lots of people who love to dance and it’s retro almost workout song feel makes it repetitiveness make sense to me is really solid. In my perspective as not just an artistic creative but also as a theatrical vocalist, How Sweet’s flat delivery is supposed to convey Nihility for that person and almost like relief that they’re gone. The song when talking about the person and the things they made you feel is so flat and deadpan because that’s how they made you feel. When they start with the “Toxic lover~ you know better~” you can practically see yourself having a good time with friends sending prank calls and voice messages to the “little demon in my storyline” about how they fumbled you and should know better because you’re so much happier now. In terms of the perspective of just music you want to listen to, these scores kinda make sense. The way I see it, NewJeans is something you have to truly experience to get the full feel. 💜🐰
When I first listened to newjeans, I also thought that some songs parts are annoying, but as you hear more and more times, you will understand their intention and start to enjoy it. (For me lah)
Their opinions are too technically textbook with the foundations being their subjective preferences. For example if we compare it to art, If their preferred style is Van Gogh's then they'll criticize every work of Picasso by stating every Van Gogh element that is missing from Picasso's paintings. They are knowledgeable in the realm of production and music theory so I'll give them that, but they lack an open mind. The main strength and grip of NewJean's music is sentiment and the timing that they debuted. People are reaching the point of burn out from all the EDM, trap, Retro, disco music coming out from 90% of the groups so when they released Attention, everyone was instantly enamored. Looking at most of their songs as standalone pieces of tracks is not the best way to look at them because their songs are objectively not that complicated, complex or dynamic and unfortunately, this channel just does not care about those intangibles which is disappointing but i get that's the way they wanna do it.
I think my problem with New Jeans and why I can't get into their music is that the music is a combination of music made for teenage girls and music made for tictok. Neither of those things are bad things at all, and that doesn't mean that some older people won't like their music as well. But in general I just don't think I'm the demographic, so their music always sounds like it's lacking something for me. However, the chorus to Hype Boy is one of the catchiest things I've ever heard.
The problem with your analysis/reaction is you both focus on finding negatives and then pretending to like some parts just to try and balance your reaction, ie passive aggressive reaction/analysis rather than taking the songs for what they are.
Yeah obviously he’s not going hear the differences in the tracks because you literally played ONLY the upbeat dance songs in their catalog????? It makes no fcking sense to only show him the songs with the same tempo and then by the time he gets to How Sweet he thinks it all sounds the same. No variation from their catalog shown AT ALL. Ditto is by far one of their most iconic songs by how refreshing and different it sounded to the rest of the industry, as well as Cool With You/Get Up. You literally showed him their radio hits. 😐
One thing I appreciate about these guys is that they don't cater to the fans. I hardly ever agree with their opinions, but I can trust they're being honest to their own views. TBH they try to be respectful of the artists while giving their honest opinion on the music. That's pretty rare for a reaction channel.
Hmm suprised...literally 90% reactors from youtube i seen all said it was a BOP...u guys are the 1st one to say it is bad. Still to each their opinion....for me choreo on point ..song maybe not tat good but after listenin to it 10 times....kinda start to grow on me...😅
Ditto and Hype boy are great, and missing them is truly a crime, but y'all, he can´t put all the songs yk, and I mean ALL NEW JEANS SONGS ARE BOPPPP, all these songs he showed today are very famous, I wasn't even a kpop fan and I already had Attention and Supershy on my playlist ykwim?
Yeah, Kazinho pretty much says what I feel about Cookie, BUT just to be clear there are huge differences between Britney having full control of her music/lyrics even as young as 16 and a 14 yr old having no power over whether she sings a song about the smell and taste of her pum pum. We have our own sins in the west for sure, but not only was that decades ago, Britney didn't get this suggestive immediately. Even then, I don't so much have issues with a 16 yr old or older having full control over how suggestive she is while performing, even though I'd hope it's done wisely without coercion. So, it's not like fans were concerned just because were talking about kpop, that is overall more "innocent" and not super suggestive even when we had more "grown" songs. I'd feel the same way if a 14 yr old American girl sang this song. EDIT: I still think this should really only be sung by 18 yr olds or older, but we're not dumb, 16 yr olds are generally not naive... but there's usually a power dynamic in this industry that usually makes me skeptical of what a 16 yr old can consent to when powerful execs hold their career in their hands. Britney however, insists she was in control of most creative aspects in her career, as in no one needed to convince her to be more sexy, despite what happened to her otherwise as far as being forced to perform more than she wanted or do projects she didn't care for.
i get what youre saying.. no problem if they were all over 18.. ideally 21.... but my only real issue was hyein being 14... even haerin being 16 wasnt that bad for me.. i'd question it but it wouldnt piss me off so much.. theres a huge difference in those 2 years of growing in the mental state of what is essentially a child and someone whos essentially pretty much nearly a young adult
if u guys interest in danielle ,she is the voice actor of little mermaid live action korean dub. She sing 'part of the world' korean version too. please check that song too.
you should consider doing one or 2 live performances for each group you check out. For newjeans, I'd recommend their performance of Gods at the League of Legends World championships last year
Ngl I get what he means with the monotony….The uk garage sound worked for Ditto but I don’t like how they made it their identity because the reason why their debut EP was good because of how distinct each tracks were aside from catchy. I don’t like how I had to “marinate” Super Shy and How Sweet to like it. They honestly felt lackluster and repetitive
Honestly I got into New Jeans late, myself and I was torn when I heard Cookie bc I knew about the controversy. It was a part of the reason I avoided the group for a bit, since I didn't want to support a company that I thought was exploiting minors..but mannnn Cookie does kinda slap tho and it makes my grown adult self want to throw it back (which just also further proves it was not an appropriate track for them to release when some of the members were in high school LOL).
For the people who are criticising him., I agree with most of his opinions on first listen what he was looking for that energy, he never got it, he could have if u had shown him Hype Boy and Ditto
I do give Kaz credit for giving specific reasons in his critique of why he doesn't like a song. He just doesn't go "I just don't like it, it doesn't vibe with me". And I agree with him that some NJ lyrics can get overly repetitive (umm, like Super Shy), but to me that's not a deal breaker - the whole vibe of the song works for me. Again props to Kaz for giving us his honest opinion, and I don't agree some/most of them - but that's ok. At the end of the day, we listen to what we like and who cares what other people say
Super Shys Instrumental is based on Powerpuff Girls so I think they were trying to find a way to make the song go with the Flow!! It's just my Opinion doe 😅
It seems like Atom chose the songs from new jeans that he likes and not what would appeal to Kazinho's tastes. If he liked Cookie, then show him Ditto, Cool with you, Gods, Bubble Gum, Hype Boy. He picked the tracks that are meant to be hyper commercial instead.
@@suhkawnit eh I never said the other songs were genre-bending zeitgeist shifting masterpieces. However, there is a marked difference between title tracks and b-sides. For what it's worth, being provocative or offensive doesn't make something revolutionary either; that shits been done to death as well.
@@Lilrascal4lyfe the majority of their discography are title tracks though lol? btw if a song is either too provocative, long, or complex to garner radio airplay, it is by definition not commercial. You don’t hear 10 minute prog epics being released as bands’ title tracks, now do you? No, even though those are probably the best songs, they release the most basic track on the album because that has the most commercial appeal. And that describes NJ’s entire discography. Short, catchy, and basic enough to appeal to the lowest common denominator and avoid being “too much” for anybody
@@suhkawnit I agree about the length of the song being a factor, attention spans have been shrinking rapidly over the last decade. Aside from that, what makes a song too provocative or complex in your opinion? Can you give me an example of a song released in the last 5 years that is both simultaneously entertaining and not status quo? I do have some examples in mind personally, but absolutely none within K-pop, which is why I find your criticism moot. Dreamcatcher for example deviates a bit musically, but if that counts then surely NJ utilizing a dead genre from the 80s in their new comeback fits the same criteria.
@@Lilrascal4lyfe A song can be too provocative for a number of reasons, most commonly due to uncomfortable lyrical themes, extreme vocal deliveries, or unconventional musical arrangements. We already have some examples in the past few months alone when (G)idle released Wife and Revenge. Both songs were banned from public broadcast due to the explicit imagery in their lyrics and/or MVs. Banned songs, by definition, have low commercial potential. You can even throw Super Lady in there - it literally opens with a barrage of belted high notes that a lot of people would find too overstimulating and turn the song off after 10 seconds. Not to mention the lyrics are explicitly anti-male. Now, I’m not saying a song needs to banned to not be hyper commercial. Those are just extreme examples. But NJ songs are the other extreme. Their lyrics are generic pop themes about liking a boy (and yes, it is explicitly about a boy) or, if they’re feeling spicy, vague messages about how that boy wasn’t good for them. They sing in a very limited and basic vocal range that is neither too high or intense too be overstimulating, not too low that it starts to sound too dark or mature. They have very basic and common pop voices that you can hear anywhere. NJ’s entire discography is like vanilla ice cream. Sweet yet bland enough that everybody can at least kind of enjoy it. But it lacks any intense flavor that might make risk turning people completely off. That’s what makes vanilla the most commercial ice cream flavor, and NJ’s music the most commercial in all of Kpop.
The thing is new jeans songs are so weird, i had to listen to them like 10 times to start loving them, you have to understand all those strange verses that will get stuck in your head for hours 🤩
I just think it's cool to hear a review from someone who doesn't really listen to the music itself. Kazinho's reviews just seem very honest and constructive. He reviews from a purely musical point of view and I find it very interesting to hear such a perspective. He knows a lot about music and says what he thinks, which is exactly how it should be!
I agree, I enjoy these reviews more than than the ones where people just clearly are faking how much they love the song. And I'm not saying that they all fake it just cause they like the song but some people are uber enthusiastic to the point that i can't even watch cause it's clearly not genuine.
i dont think he knows as much about music as he portrays... he says about newjeans music 'oh maybe if i was at a rave' without even realising the songs hes complaining about are actually based on 'rave' (or clubland) genres.. so of course they are going to be repetitive.. i dont think he even knows the genres of 'uk garage' or 'miami bass' on which the tunes are based on

For example ISFPs cognitive functions:
1. introverted feeling (Fi)
2. extraverted sensing (Se)
3. introverted intuition (Ni)
4. extraverted thinking (Te)
There is more to it but i dont want to explain all that rn.
Cognitive functions are way more important than the actual letters, but yeah a lot of people spread misinformation about MBTI
Anyway, MBTI only gives information about how people take decisions and its not important to know but it can help to have a better understanding a person. Hope this helps
how sweet at the beginning it starts strong but you feel later that they add or (repeat) just to make it a full song but the start of the song is really good
it's a grower tho. i thought the same thing on my first two listens then it kept gorwing on me and now I think it's one of their best!
i feel that more about super shy, i thought how sweet sounded very full personally, and not too repetitive since the verses had different melodies
@@damnthony1074 maybe if i listened to it more
This was painful to watch….
What are the songs that guy listens to? I wanna know what is good for him
was expecting you to show Ditto as well
calling How Sweet the worst song might be the biggest bullshit i've ever heard
fr
i think you guys just aren't fans of the genres they incorporate in general... supershy and eta are 'uk garage' a clubland sound thats made for dancing most songs in the genre have that repetitive nature and i'm a huge fan of the genre so those two songs are in my top 5 of new jeans song...
Not showing the MV for OMG was a choice...
I kinda wanted kazinho to see cool with you😢
What a shame he didn't have the opportunity to listen to it.
i love how sweet and i hope it grows on you guys 😢
My favorite song by them is Gods. I know is produced by league of legends music team, but it brings out something SO DIFFERENT from what they usually produce. I absolutely love their voices there. But I also love New Jeans and Attention, this is probably my top 3. I loved your view points!!! See you next time!
I really love "How Sweet" and the sweet summer feeling it evokes! And TBH "Ditto" and "New Jeans" should be a part of a video like this [we need a part 2 soon].
it's actually crazy how they didn't get the hint of it being a coca cola collaboration 😭
You literally didn’t show their two best hits! How???
i wanted to say something on the ETA concept, as you can see it’s about a girl who’s cheated on and her friends tell them to hurry up.
You missed Cool with you, Hype Boy & Ditto
Cool with you is the best one. Deep House vibes. Newjeans cant be stopped! ❤

It took a while for How Sweet to grow on me, but I do really like it. It was a similar impression I had with ETA.
Cookie rn is my fav song
The "Take it, don't break it, I wanna see you taste it" line in cookie though 💀
Not introducing your friend to Ditto should be a criminal offense 😭
felony 😭
I watched this to piss myself off and it did so thank you for this 💕
how sweet it's so hip. What music does he listen to?
I think he is a metal fan if I remember correctly. But he seems very picky about his music
How sweet is fire! 🔥🔥😭
I wish you had reacted to ditto and cool with you :(
Bro with the blonde hair better turn his frown upside down when reacting to NewJeans.
I can’t believe someone even hates newjeans
Never met a new jeans hater yeah your alone on this take 🤩

The problem with your analysis/reaction is you both focus on finding negatives and then pretending to like some parts just to try and balance your reaction, ie passive aggressive reaction/analysis rather than taking the songs for what they are.
hes literally just giving his opinions on the things he likes and dislikes abt each track...
Why would he have to pretend to like it LMAO

How in the hell do you not have Hype Boy here???? Damn.
not adding ditto is like baiting him not lo like nwjns

Attention put my attention on newjeans. The hater is not my cup of tea
Should have done Hybe Boy and ditto
you should consider doing one or 2 live performances for each group you check out.
I feel like you picked the most similar songs rather than a variety of their sound. That said I love every single song anyway.
Ditto and hype boy is by far their most viral songs. Why did you skip those?!
I was a Kpop hater myself, and I love New Jeans so much, I am a changed man now.

I really love How sweet especially when you listen it multiple times 😭

You got me looking for attentiooooooon~
I have a genuine question, is the guy on the left someone known?
No just a guy
The left guy its funny! It makes seems like is the freaking Max Martin criticizing the songs lmao!😅 where is your hit my friend? 😝
All NJ songs are hyper commercial lmao. It’s the most safe, non provoking, inoffensive shit ever
Bro I was a kpop hater but newjeans was my first group and I love them 😭😭 also how was how sweet the worst that’s literally their best song 💀

How is atom still freinds with kazinho? Atom is litteraly silently enjoying the song but then theres kazinho...
i didnt like newjeans at first listen too, but now look at me i am obsessed with all of their songs
they're always finding for that big impact, which is antithetical to what NJ is which is chillax
