Carnal Flower is just gorgeous! It is the queen of Tuberose, I prefer it over Fracas. I am really loving most Frederic Malle fragrances at the moment, its such a great quality House. Eau de Magnolia is really beautiful too :)

Carnal flower is such an appropriate name for this. I love the opening as well as the creamy, powdery dry down. Definitely smells sophisticated and is unisex.

I recently discovered another niche tuberose fragrance. It's called Eau Triple Tubereuse Du Mexique. I tested it one time and smells great! It may be a contender for Carnal Flower. I love Carnal Flower so much though!

@@ouch110 ....edit: it is a work of art perfume...I was split at first because all (haha,"all" with Malle is a kind of understatement) I got from the first moment is very veeery true to nature,poleny flower...but later when it settles,its absolutely stunning...it embodies everything a fragile,carnal flower tuberose is...all the breeziness,fatty facettes,extremely erotic nuances and tame flowery nature...as time went by I got more stunned by this masterfull composition ...)
This scent is incredible. The tuberose is always there but well balanced by its supporting cast. The facets are stunning and the smell true to the flower but even better than nature.
I smelled it first back in 2007 , in California. I asked a lady what she was wearing and she said Carnal Flower , never had I smelled anything so beautiful ! I still haven't bought it but I will!!

I loved this review, watching the reaction on your face! It reminded me of my reaction every time I took a deep smell of my Carnal Flower sample. The pleasure is almost narcotic and addictive. I wondered why FM sent me the Carnal Flower sample and a sample of Portrait of a Lady with my bottle of Musc Ravageur (after all my name was clearly not female!) ! I thought I can't buy a bottle of this because it was a "flower" fragrance, but that won't stop me now. My sample will be gone soon and I need more!!
Even though I love Carnal flower more, I still think Fracas is the queen, it was such a revolutionary perfume, at the time it came out there was nothing like it out there. I absolutley think Carnal flower smells tropical, like you are in a hot wet wild tropical forest, it is absolutley beautiful, one of my all time favorites, but I think it needs heat to really show its beauty.

Great review :) - this was my gateway to FM. I'd tested a few and didn't really get them, but then had a crafty spritz of CF at Les Senteurs and floated the rest of the day on a heavenly cloud of tuberose! The opening has striking similarities to Un Matin d'Orage, IMO. I love how the additional notes amplify different facets of the soliflore: the coconut adds the fleshy/creamy element, whilst the eucalyptus, the green florist shop quality. Just stunning.

Great review, once again. I want to test this stuff, even though I know it's pretty pricy... Like you, I don't find tuberose sexy, either; but most men seem to differ on that. Was mentioning this subject to my boyfriend and he said "I get why I like it, but why do you like it? Surely, it must smell different to you than it does to me?". He was, apparently, getting at the fact that he finds tuberose (or perfumes he now knows have it as a main component) sexy, on female skin. So, he didn't get why, or how, I also liked it, if that isn't what I'm getting from it, as a woman myself. To him, I guess tuberose is almost like the olfactory equivalent of lingerie, or whatever? Whereas, to me, it's just an intoxicatingly beautiful, naturally powerful, slightly heady, slightly glamorous, flower smell.

My review on Fragrantica , do you agree? I came across this fragrance 7 years ago I died and Jesus literally brought me back and I saw the white light of god . The experience was spiritual !! No seriously I have never smelled anything so wonderful in my life . It is the equivalent of the part in 'When Harry Met Sally' when she has an orgasm in the diner ! Thats the face I made when I smelled it and then I died ..... I love tuberose and this is the most erotic , orgasmic , natural , beachy, mesmerising , want to be naked and bathed in it fragrance that exists . Price totally worth it . I will finally stop procrastinating after 7 years and buy it!

I adore fracas please review it , may change your mind about gardenia and what about gardenia passion by A Goutel it's a wonderful fragrance very earthy. Anyway keep up the good work(I just wish I had as many perfumes as you) I'm presently wearing pure poison another masterpiece in my opinion A Halmazabel
You must try this one for sure if you like white flowers as its really gorgeous. REALLY!! Oh Fracas, yes I have tried it before and I had a sample. It was way before I started my channel though. It was very cool. I tend to like more modern tuberose compositions though and that one was kinda vintagey. I would really like to review it at some point though.
I would like to see that review, too. :) I just got a sample of Fracas from Notino and I don't know if there was something wrong with it(?), but it was horrible on my skin. Started out like weak, slightly floral, slightly sweet, citrusy water. Then it strengthened considerably into a fairly robust floral; but, aside from an astonishingly underwhelming tuberose (in my opinion), it smelled mainly of bitter violets. The drydown was then so utterly bitter and depressing (like wet stone), I had to wash it off! I still don't know if it was just the way it reacted with my skin (I do tend to turn vintage fragrances sourer), or whether it was a fake, or an old sample, but it was pretty hideous. If we're talking vintage tuberoses, Giorgio Beverly Hills is so much nicer, on my skin, than that Fracas sample was and it's now about a 10th of the price.
Excellent review, as always. I loved Carnal Flower upon trying it. I have a small sample that I need to use up. The only reason I wouldn't think of a bottle is because I have not tried Tubereuse Criminelle.

Only thing beats the tuberose scents or can compare is Un jardin sur le nil in my oppinion. Would you do a rewiew of Kingdom if i sent it over?

This is a great one! It has some of the natural smell of tuberose flowers but with other things going on too

Tuberose is my favourite too, I used the fresh flowers as the main feature in my bouquet when I got married. I just bought a bottle of this. :)

I just baught it and am already swapping ìt for Byredo Le tulipe & Blanche, Donna Karan Gold, and a St.Dupont ice something. a good swapping friend whith a muçh better nose than mine. I stopped smoking two years ago and the money i earned by loosing the ickisticks i've started buying perfumes for. About the Kiñgdom...i read a comparresing to smelling a burlesque dancers crotch after dancing five hours. Interesting smell? Very,but lets not get compleately overboard,discontinnued scents aré like dead composers, very popular after departing.
