Come, Follow Me is a resource offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is designed to be used in the home to support personal and family scripture study to build faith in Heavenly Father and His plan of salvation and in the Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Come, Follow Me is self-contained and adequate, when used properly. Products and materials designed to supplement this resource, though they may be helpful in some instances, are not necessary for a successful home study program.
I’ve been experiencing the hardest time of my life the last few years. Listening to your lessons has been a lifeline, giving me comfort and hope when I feel absolutely hopeless. Thank you for being instruments in God’s hands. You’re saving lives as well as souls. ❤
Hang in there! You’re not alone!
Keep going forward! I think there are so many of us who feel the same.
I’m right there with you. Onward with faith and courage!
🙏❤️🩹🙏❤️🩹
You got this.
another one bites the dust! So so powerful esp. when David said, "we show our love for God with how we treat others." I love that. Thanks Grace and David, I don't know how you do this every week, but I learn something new each time! It's a gift to be a part of this covenant community.
When I feel depressed or anxious at night I watch your podcast and I feel lighter and better. You are both so relatable and you teach in a way I understand I feel the spirit. Thank you!
wait!!! SAMMMEEEEE this and ward radio :')
Jesus is my Vine. I am a branch. I want to abide in His love. Therefore, I will spend my first minutes of each morning and last moments of each evening with Him in prayer and reading His words.
I've fallen in love with you both. You both bring so much to the lessons. Thank you for your service and kindness.
I just love you guys and look forward to studying with you each week. Thank you for helping to biuld and maintain my testimony❤
The feeling of bringing others to Christ is indescribable. I had the honor of teaching Gospel Principles, it was AWESOME!
I will never forget when my son was baptized. My family came, but alas I had to stand outside the door - he was nervous and knew I would cry - he is 27 now and struggling to bring him back in.
We love your lists! It helps us learn better with the visuals, keep it going
Really enjoy hearing your take aways and insights. Thanks for the time and effort y’all invest in this study!
I love that they were given the land to the east by the sea… they get the best view of the “Son rise”
Oh, and Alma gets his wish, to cry repentance throughout all the land. So grateful for the book of Alma and that God is in every particular.
Thank you for making Scriptures study so uplifting and fun. I love to feel the Spirit as you teach. You help me motivate myself to read them, when I do not, even if I do my best to do it daily. God bless you both for this.
I get it now, i followed your scripture reading schedule and re listen to the cast and noticed the don't miss things.
I love your lessons, so bright, easy to understand. Thank you so much
Thank you very much! You are the BEST!!!😘
Praising God during the hard times ❤ thank you for this
My missionary comes home on Friday and I gave her Emily’s Alma 26 assignment last week!
Thank you very much. So much fun to watch you guys😍👏
At the end😄"and whoever thinks"... what a cliffhanger!
I think many times hard times and I look at it like a test to see if I am really converted to the lord and am I truly going to rely on the lord. Satan is going to truly test you also to try and turn your heart from god. So be prepared and trust in the savior and don't stop believing just because hard things happen.
“…If he sayeth unto us go, we will go, otherwise we will perish in the land.” One of my favorites in The Book of Mormon.
Grace honey, please slow down!
My favorite this week. Alma 25:6 "converted in the wilderness" - best place for conversion.
Grace - never slow down - your enthusiasm, love and testimony of our Savior is exactly the zeal we need and a great example for the rest of us!
One thought I had come to my mind during my study is as the Lamanites laid down their weapons of war and buried them, what can I lay down and get rid of in my life so that I may never fall away?
I love the traditions of my fathers and my family before me. One of them was just go to church, just do it…
It's a 14 year period. That's how fast things can degenerate in this world.
Can someone explain this part.
Alma 29:5 says, "Yea, and I know that good and evil have come before all men;
he that knoweth not good from evil is blameless; but he that knoweth good and
evil, to him it is given according to his desires, whether he desireth good or
evil, life or death, joy or remorse of conscience".
If Adam was blameless in the garden of Eden, why did God have to forgive his
transgression (Moses 6:43)?
Innocent people, who aren't aware of the Right thing to do, or perhaps those who were taught to do bad/wrong things, are not held to the same level of accountability as those who have learned/been taught right vs. wrong. Those who know right & wrong (and all of us start with the Light of Christ, which can give a basic sense of morally right vs wrong actions), choose to either act in ways that are consistent with what they know is right, or choose to go against that knowledge, which is sin & requires repentance. All are rewarded according to the good or bad choices they make, according to their level of knowledge/accountability
Adam & Eve, I have been taught, did not SIN, for they did not yet know right from wrong, but they did TRANSGRESS, or go against/break, the law they were given - eating the fruit has been forbidden (of course, in order to keep one law they were given, it was necessary for them to break/transgress the other law, therefore enabling AGENCY - Multiply or Don't Eat the Fruit), so they were forgiven for breaking that law. They learned by their experience that it was WRONG to break God's laws. After learning that lesson, they were then held to a higher level of accountability in which breaking one of God's laws would be considered a sin & require repentance.
If someone was taught to steal to survive, it doesn't change the fact that stealing is wrong & would therefore need to be forgiven. But it is easily forgiven, and only considered a transgression if the person did not know it was wrong. Once they learn it is wrong, then it is a sin.
That is my understanding. There are many talks & articles in the Gospel Library that discuss sins & levels of transgressions which you can find by searching "sin." You may also want to research "The Fall". I hope this helps.
Great explanation! @@mslade242
"And whoever thinks" WHAT?? WHAT WAS THE END OF DAVID'S SENTENCE?!? 😅
The reason that you did not mention, was also because they did not want to be tempted again to go back to their old ways
What humanitarian trip did you mention? I’m interested in these and would like more info please.
It’s called HXP - check out their website
David, This is a technical comment and not a doctrinal comment: The pattern on the shirt you were wearing in this session causes visual strobing. Would you please reconsider wearing it for these productions.
Being rude to David is high treason!
