A true 007 in the kingdom for the entertainment industry. Undercover for God making a difference to bring change into peoples lives. Beating up the devil, and setting captives free.

I love seeing the behind the scenes view of how regular lovers of Jesus are making Kingdom impacts in the industry. I also appreciate his story of navigating his Christian friends backing away and his fortitude to stay. I’m so glad he got to love on all those people and Matthew 5:16 that environment! 🙌🏼

Hi, Shawn👋🏻 So great to hear this story. Years ago, the Lord has downloaded a film script into my spirit. It took me a while to write it, and I’ve tried editing it a few times, but as Tim expressed in his story, I had no prior training. So I’ve let this script that needs strong editing and to be cut in half just sitting until I sense the Lord say to pick it up and do something different with it. In the meantime, He’s been calling me to minister locally in Eastern Montgomery County VA and throughout the Appalachian Mountains some how. I too had grown up with a dream to sing and songwriter professionally, but the Lord has had to shut me down on a few occasions for trying to pursue it out of time and with Him. So, now “I” sit on the self like my script, just listening, and watching, and waiting for the Lord to give me some more sharp vision and detail in how to move forward in ministry. I’ve also at times in my life felt called to minister within Hollywood, but nothing has materialized yet. Still, I seek Him. And I find it very interesting how that Nashville is part of the Appalachian territory.🤔 Territory to be taken for Christ🙌🏻

T C I listened and I totally agree with the reasoning that we may not be praying correctly. Much of that goes back to our understanding, or lack thereof, of our authority in Christ and knowing the power of our words.

I have to be honest here, I don’t mean to bring judgment or negativity but…I think we need to be careful. I’m hearing a lot of “God told me’s”….listen, I’m 26, I watched glee all the way up until season 5 on Netflix. I was a teen and I enjoyed all the singing and comedy. But knowing what’s in there, I think there’s a fine line to consider in all this.
Again, my opinion, but now that these skills have been acquired, I would have loved to hear that Tim is now bringing those into the church to improve the dire need in Christian media. I have some trouble fully grasping that God, after all these years is using all your talent for a boyband show…but hey, I’m open to being wrong here.
I definitely think it’s peculiar that the glee cast has experienced serial deaths, from drugs to child porn being a major factor. Even normal podcasts like Chris Williamson are speaking out on the mental dangers of porn. I think it would be great if we could combine great skill to point out Biblical principles that can directly be tied to the human psyche. I’m glad this guy was able to build friendship with the director who was gay…not all Christians hate gays and it shouldn’t be that way. But if I’m being honest, though I grew up having a huge crush on this guy, he sounds a little full himself.
Yes your goal is to lift up God, so I find it hard to comprehend why you haven’t come over to Christian media with your industry/technical wisdom. The assertions from God are just…I mean, I have experienced the Lord speaking to me by connecting dots in my devotions and the convictions of my own wrong actions where I need God. But we have to be careful not to assert our thoughts and desires as God’s. THAT is pride. You spoke a lot of dreams and desires…but in many cases we are to surrender our desires so as to not make them an idol.
Is it wrong to love your child more than anything? Certainly not! But Abraham was asked to give Isaac on the altar because bad and good things in life can become idols to us. Of course Isaac stayed alive and God used this as symbolism. But Jacob did not fare better with Rachel. He undoubtedly loved her beyond comparison, and didn’t get to spend much time with her, God even allowed for him to be deceived with Leah and gave Leah many children. I’m rambling, but the point is, we don’t have much time left on this earth. I’m not going to go as far as assert that God didn’t call you to Glee and what not, but I do think you should be careful to also surrender desires and see what God tells you.
I believe we need to pray earnestly that God tell us his message and remove our preconceived notions - and I may need this myself - but at the end of the day, by their fruits you shall know them. Time is short and I think you should consider using those talents to start making media that uplifts principles in life, helpful psychological principles (again like Chris Williamson or Matthew Hussey or something)…principals that would have been vital for the glee cast. Teaching them older songs is great and all, but I think there’s more goals for God that we can consider. Idk. Just a rant.😮
