    as someone who is into psychology, love that this is getting spoken about from a christian perspective, however, i believe dr. mentioned the enneagram and i think it’s important that we look at the origin of these things. please look into yourself if you care to. lack of knowledge, the people perish 💙

      Thanks for the suggestion I found this All believers should be diligent in their research, use wisdom, and ultimately, decide for themselves. We think Christians should use the Enneagram-if they find value in it-provided they always keep in mind that the Enneagram (like other personality assessments) is simply a tool.

      @RestoreTheBody 4 месяца назад +2

      I agree. Enagram has nothing to do within church. We DO have Rom 12, 1.chor.12 and Eph.4:11-13 about both spiritual gifts and leader rolls. We rather should look at what The Holy Spirit has given us of resources, and seek to be in the center, which is to be Christ-like in ANY direction. NB!! To be baptized; in The Holy Spirit, speaking (or praying or singing) in tounges is indeed the PORTAL to greater gifts. AND of course, make sure that our spirits are renewed, not in old, bad patterns.

    "Attachment style is not who we are, it's what got wired into us."
    "Our words frame our reality."
    Really significant concepts!

    I always hoped I was avoidant bc it made me more “gangsta” but when I heard JM give the description of anxious w low view of self and high regard for others …. I’m like ohhhhh that’s me. That’s for making it simple for me in this way ❤️❤️❤️😅

    So glad you are talking about this topic. Saying that narcissistic people tend to be avoidant may not be totally correct. There are narcs in all attachment styles.... especially covert narcs which may lean more anxious.
    I highly recommend checking out The Personal Development School with Thais Gibson for in depth attachment style information. She talks about how the styles act in relationships.

      Agreed…e.g. I’ve noticed narcs who are “mama’s boy.” They have an over-secure attachment towards coddling mother but avoidant attachment with significant other or spouse.

    Doctor Jim touched on the fact that His attachment style will come out now (tho more infrequently than younger years). I am curious to know why and what circumstance triggers it to come out and how he works through it to get back to a place of "safety". Thank you so much in advance for answering this question. 🙏 Rose

    My husband always asks if I love him, how much I love him and why I love him. Very exhausting and definitely a covert narcissist!

    But let’s remember and not forget that God is the one who has hard wired us to be attached to Him. Our Heavenly Father first!!! Born into a sinful world has in part caused these unhealthy attachment styles relationally

    Im attached to my adult daughter & she totally detached herself from me. I feel she does not care if I live or die, once was empathic & now that shes older & in a relationship with a mamas boy who has bad mouthed me for years she no longer defends me and at times acts very hateful towards me

    What if our womb wasn't safe? Inwas adopted out by my bio mom amd dad said no. She started beating on me by age 6 until 35. I have begged her for the mom love until this past September. I listened to Goodbye and Goodboundaries last year and I have do the most healing since listening to the audible (I hope to get the actual book one day) and I learned the way to set and hold boundaries and learning that when my morals/beliefs/rifhts are violated I will do a,b,c and I now can not let her harm me. Life changing for me! Thank you
