As far as I can see from this video, The Ramones are alive and well. This trio IS The Ramones. Daniel Rey (5th Ramone) is awesome. CJ replaced Dee Dee in his good graces, and the Drummer here definitely keeps the beat. What more? We saw them live in New Orleans and had a blast! The energy from one of these concerts blows anything else out there completely away. Hope they come back one day.
Now that they've all gone, this seems pretty legitimate to me, esp as CJ sang lead from time to time instead of Joey and Danny Ray who produced/played on some Ramones albums on board too. if I ever had the op (here in country Australia) reckon I'd see this over Marky, all tho, when I discovered them in "79, it was indeed Marky who'll be the first drummer I saw. RIP the original fantastic four: Joey Johnny, Now Tommy too and not forgetting my personal fave, the gifted/tortured songwriter-bassist, Dee Dee! Miss 'em all terribly.

Best alternative to Ramones ever.. C-Jay was great.. was great in the real band too. Never seen him like a hired bassist like so many people claim (who probably were not even born after they disbanded).. He saved Ramones for us fans for some extra years of live fun.. and to me more Ramone than sell-out Marc Bell.. who was great too for filming them.. best line-up to me was Johnny (absolute rock-star with incredible stage presence), our beloved Joey, wild-eyed 1234-shouter and legendary DeeDee Ramone, and Richie Ramone.. but C-Jay did a wonderfull job..

That's Daniel Ray on the guitar. He produced some of the Ramones records, and did some lead guitar recordings with them. He also played guitar on most of the songs on Joey's "Don't Worry About Me" album.

No, it's CJ Ramone on bass, who replaced Dee Dee Ramone when Dee Dee quit in 1990, and Daniel Rey on guitar, who played on some Ramones albums and co-wrote some songs. I don't know who the drummer is. Of course, Johnny Ramone (guitar), Dee Dee Ramone (bass) and Joey Ramone are all deceased.

once more a big thank you to C-Jay for keeping the legacy alive.. Deedee was a true legend, but thanks to C-Jay we could have some extra years of Ramones.. the shows were great with him.. and unlike Mr. Sell Out Marc Bell C-Jay captured what Ramones fans liked after the disbanding.. Marc was a great drummer, but I liked the line up with Richie and Deedee most.. Thanks to Marc we fans have all the footage he shot, but he just became a sell-out..

It's not bullshit, its a known fact. He was married to Marky's niece and had two kids with her.
Marky is pissed off at C.J. for some reason. It's not C.J.'s fault. He can't figure out why he's mad at him. Also Marky doesn't play the songs the same anymore. He's too good for the songs. He always HAS to jazz the songs up nowadays (which I hate when he does that).

he has a hell of a nerve playing this set. the least he could do is show some respect for the guys that wrote the songs and go the hell away
CJ is the only Ramone we have left that is keeping the legacy alive in a cool and normal down-to-earth way, just as we fans deserve it.. for all of you outthere claiming he was just a hired bassist, he gave us the fans some more years of Ramones.. DeeDee was incredible, a true legend, but he had to go and chase out his demons.. CJ did a great job replacing him.. and he is still, even up til now in 2019, an example of love and unity for we, the fans.. unfortunately we lost our darling Joey, Mr. Rockstar Johnny, what a fucking absolutely amazing true rockstar he was.. respect!!! Tommy I never could identify with.. too young by then me.. best line-up was joey johnny deedee and richy.. but with Mark back in the band he did good.. he became an annoying wanna-be rock star.. but at least he nailed the drumming again.. too bad of the terrible ego.. richie remained kinda cool and descent after he left, but is now also making a grotesque humiliation of himself, the once really cool richie ramone.. the worst thing is marc bell, who was so lucky to have a second canche as marky ramone, and did it rather well, no doubt..but the way he became a never-seen-before sell-out after the disbanding and especially after the passing of our joey, johnny and DeeDee.?
The only good thing when you look at marc bell in retrospect that he has made nice videos so we fans can be part of it.. but it's sad to see him performing on parking-lots of malls and other goofy places like metroststation.. cj is way more fun when it comes to the legacy than marc 'sellout' bell... anyway just my point of view..
CJ shows enough respect to DeeDee and Joey.. and even Richie and Marc Bell too.. however Marc Bell did not write 1 important song for the Ramones.. Richie at least gave us somebody put something in my drink.. and Johnny was just the rockstar.. did not need to write.. just being on stage doing his incredibly cool thing.. keeping them together...
His voice sucks! Not that he needs to imitate Joey, but at least sound like an old school Rock n' Roll singer like Joey or Danzig did back in the day. In my opinion it would sound better.
As we all know he was the bass player in the later years. It is cool that he keeps the music alive but he should not be singing. The group lacks energy, he needs to get a lead singer, like Marky does in his tribute show.
But he actually sings on some Ramones albums, legit enough for me.
Ive seen CJ 3 times in the last couple of years and it is one hell of a show. I am 56 and my son said he had never seen me have so much fun.
