The fundamental supporting factor for Mima Ito and japanese 'swift hits in close to table' style is that THE CURRENT BALLS ARE TOO HEAVYWEIGHT. Ball weight was 2 grams, then 2.5gram, and now 2.7 grams. Heavyweight balls urge reaction, but ignore spin, various techniques, ATHLETIC SKILLS and physical strength, make rallies very short, because these heavyweight balls fly extreme quickly beyond the human possible reactions. . In table tennis, the air resistance factor is most important. Heavyweight balls can not be slowed down by air resistance. Only lightweight balls can be very quickly slowed down by air resistance. The 1.5 gram balls are better choices . Japanese manufactures manipulated to apply heavyweight balls. Then Japan created its new generation of small bodied and reaction players, for example Harimoto 15y, Hirano, Mima Ito, Koki Niwa, Kenta, ext... , to adopt ILLEGAL NEW HEAVYWEIGHT BALLS. There is no discrimination about players here. The speech is about stupid decision of applying heavyweight balls 2.7grams. Who initiated to apply these illegal heavyweight balls 2.7grams ? Who approved these heavyweight balls ? The administrators, equipment manufactures must think about making interesting attractive easier playable table tennis to get more social players and popularity, so that their equipment production business stably goes well. They should not care about which players or teams will win. For example, chinese team can win more, but if table tennis loses popularity and social players in China, then officials of chinese table tennis federation should retire.
The key factor here is : ball weight. It is needed to ban these current CATASTROPHE HEAVYWEIGHT 2.7GRAMS BALLS. It is needed to apply new official lightweight balls 1.5grams. Lightweight balls are suitable balls for the kind of table tennis sport, which is for all and for live as ITTF says. Heavyweight balls are the balls for lazy players, who want to quickly earn points by devastating swift hits without rallies.

Yeah sad about Manyu, I know she's been unable to figure out Chen Meng for some time now, but 4-0 is too bad, at least one or two sets would have been nice to watch.
For today, I think for some time the only player in the CNT that can handle Da Meng properly is Xiao Zhu who's not playing, the last match between Meng and Shiwen was very tight too- I think each set was settled in the deuce points, I feel like all of China want Shiwen to win to get that elusive title, but Meng has been the best Chinese player on the World tour for the past two years, It's gonna be a great fight, I want liu Shiwen to have it cos Chen Meng beat my Manyu 😊😊

Yeah, Ma Long should win it, I guess 4:1 cos Falck will be pumped up by the audience but if Ma takes the initiative, it'll be an easy win, but if he waits for Falck's mistakes, it's gonna be more difficult but either way Ma takes it.
I also hope Shasha and Manyu wins the doubles tomorrow, it'll be very difficult, Japan are very strong in doubles.

@@liuhao2878 I watched it again. If you think there is bias then I'm assuming you're wanting to hear them gush about Sun Yingsha nonstop. Judging from this video, there was no blatant bias towards either side. They were actually quite impartial...

This one match will go down in history as a classic. The two young ladies are about the same age, height, and weight and both are extraordinarily talented and aggressive in their style of playing. I watched Mima Ito play against Wang Yidi and another Japanese player and I was quite impressed by how good and aggressive she plays as if she's intended to steamroll her opponent. I have never seen Sun Yingsha play. This goes to show how new I am watching Table Tennis online. I was so surprised and excited when I saw Sun Yingsha not only matches Ito's aggressive playing style but countered with her own killer shots! I have never seen anything like it, not ever! I'll treasure this one particular match (video) for friends to see and get excited when they come over at the weekend. Like me, they are all Chinese and LOVE the country of CHINA and the CHINESE people. Peace.

Not the same level. The Chinese player is better in every way. More power, much better defense and much less unforced errors. It could be 4:0
these women players are more and more like man in the way of supplying power and especially forehand swing.
Also tactically Ito looks very much lower. She just wants to kill with her flat punch all the time, which is very well trapped by Chinese spin variation tactics. And Ito is not a complete player. She doesn’t have versatility in her play. Just her flat slap, punch and forehead hook.

Jeanette Yan 😀😊, Thank you for the interesting information. I know Ito is overestimating herself and underestimating the genius Chinese team. In the beginning, when she beat Zhu Yuling, I was thinking her slap and punch are really the keys as she mentioned. But later I came to know that it’s only useful against the ball with less spins (be it backspin or topspin). Consequently, her secret or key weapons so called slap or punch started failing when she was beaten by Taipei star Doo Hoi Kem. Also Harimoto has similar slap, which inspired me for a while when he beat the legend Ma Long in Japan open. But now I’m discovered that this kind of flat strokes are not the fundamental weapons and can’t be considered as the best technique. I’m further convinced on this fact coz I even experimented it recently while playing my club level tournaments. I was winning the players with less spin variations by using the punch and the flat hit, but I lost very badly against a player who had a really good spin variation. I see now same on Ito coz she looses very easily against spin variation. Thus, I’m pretty sure her slap won’t work against clever Chinese but to herself. This is how I analyse. But let’s wait and see how the reality plays out😊🙏.

孙打得很凶，主动进攻成功率高于正常水平。短板其实也满明显的。

@@zhicongdaykin5289 就这场来说，正手进攻的失误很多，侧身以后发力的感觉比起几个老队员还比较青涩一些。现在的打法，主动侧身如果不能发力打成压制，很容易回不来。参考马龙的侧身，特别是拉大斜线。
咱客观讲伊藤的实力还是很强的，她主要特点就是快，凶。也因此稳定性会差一些。但是这种打法也怕同样特点的对手。这不孙颖莎也是快和凶，甚至更快一点，但同时稳定性还比伊藤高了那么一点，所以伊藤很难赢她。要是这里换成其他球员，比如丁宁，朱雨玲这种打法的选手，跟伊藤打就会很下风的。
縱看這場比賽是4：1,但除了第四場外，其他幾場差的分數不是很多，只是看誰把握這個局點而已，國乒也不能鬆懈的，畢竟伊藤還是很強。
It's ridiculous how many wide backhands Sun is able to recover from WAY out of position, with POWER. Unbelievable!
Calvin That’s the key. I still don’t understand why Sun’s backhand is so effective against Ito, but not Chen Meng’s. Perhaps because Chen Meng’s backhand is not as fast as Sun’s. Her swing is a little bit more curved than Sun’s.

It seems the commentator doesn't really understand the level of Chinese players when she said these two players are at the same level. Clearly they are not. Non Chinese players may sometimes get a luckly break and win top level Chinese players when their play style is not known well enough. But once their plays are studied and known, the Chinese are so experienced that they will not lose twice. It is the case with Harimoto, Ito Mima, and when Joo Sehyuk came runner up in I think was 2001 Championships, and when Cho Eonrae beat FZD, and when Lee Sangsu beat Malong in one of the Korean opens. The competition within China is so fierce and they are so much experienced that it is virtually impossible for non Chinese players to overcome their experience and strategies.

日本连东京大学都不提供住宿。。。运动员 国内活动没有像中国那样提供免费的3餐，住宿基本是自找----一般住在自家------尽管有名的选手有公司赞助，但绝不是国家包下来。 非重大的国际乒乓赛时，排名前4位，国家出钱， 其余属自由参----加搞不到赞助的话自己出钱。

@@chowwentlam1610 同意！刘詩雯两次敗给伊藤，第一次是关键時刻刘手軟，第二次是刘遙遙領先，伊藤已被打到泄氣的情況下，糊里糊塗地輸了的，是清楚看到刘不是技不如人，而是輸在心而矣，之後伊藤一路前進，横掃中国隊是丁宁己老，年青的又一時不適應打法吧了。真正的強者是能接受時间的考驗的，至少在三幾年間，被冠以自己的名字的，例如丁宁時代、李曉霞、張恬宁時代等等
ITO的打法太过于强势 本身这种打法就对自己是一种压力 当无法震虐住对手时 ITO就没有其他选项了 我认为是教练的幼稚错误 浪费了一个顶级选手 第一盘就已经分出胜负了 但是当ITO得了一两分时 教练都还露出欣慰笑容 给我都笑不出来 明显莎莎具备多种武器 ITO就像拿着一匕首对付着18般武器

both play very good, but SYS is better. what a game!
Higher, trajectory slower tantalizing loops uncomfortable for Ito. She is trained to ultra fast block low down loop drives but can't adapt to a different trajectory. Blocking is her main part of the game. The Chinese has surely exploited it to counter. On the contrary, Chinese players are trained all around. They might not be fancy and exploding (Like Ito & Harimoto) but are more consistent against different styles.
Japanese seem to train their players to counter specific Chinese players so becomes inadequate against different opponents but the Chinese have so much talented reserves on their soil, its' amazing.
Once Ito becomes consistent , it's over for China. If we look at the match, she made a lot of unforced errors. Still does. Like one commentator said once, she knows how to play but does not want to. May be by wttc 2021 or 2023, she will be mentally ready. By the way, I have Never seen any female player with so much creativity. It's incredible. And still evolving.
I think mima ito is too nervous. She served so many balls into the net!

mima's got way much more international stages and major events experiences than sun though, above 3 times more participation experiences than sun
@@cjh4073 Having more international experience doesn mean that one will not be nervous. When Wang Hao played Ryu Seung Min in the olympics, it was the only time he had lost to Ryu. They both had a vast amount of experience but Wang still lost despite always winning Ryu whenever they met previously. If you are a competitive sportsman, u will know what i mean.
The second commentator with a funny accent sounded like she adores Ito and was totally biased with her comments. Who TF is she?
Agreed. They are all useless. They are within their rights to love Ito but chill out and comment on hhf game instead of showing animosity towards the beautiful sha sha
@@severintala1714 Are you guys nuts? Animosity? I didn't hear any crazy bias for Ito either. At best, there may be a hint of rooting for the underdog since Ito was being beaten badly but the way some people describing it as a lovefest for Ito (and now animosity towards Sha?) is way overboard...
Maybe it's because the camera gave Ito Mima too many close-ups or video editing, but her facial expression and body postures are yelling impatient since set 1...

This would be a better video without the 2 commentators, especially the one who speaks awkward english is quite annoying. If ITTF is unable to find commentators with knowledge in table tennis, please just leave the videos without commentators.

Ito should be a little bit "soft" sometimes. not let the opponent always have opportunity to use strength.
Just watch how Ito reacts when she loses a point. Chinese player are different, so subtle and concentrated to go on with the game. The young Japanese players seem very self centred and too proud of themselves. May be trying too hard to show off and expect winners too much. My only respectable Japanese is Kiko Niwa. His attitude is noble amid admirable sportsmanship.

Really impressed with Sun Yingsha’s power. Ito is stronger is the short spinny game but is not doing well on her opponents long game.

Well played Sun Yingsha. Comprehensively outplayed. Mima has got to work out an answer to those long fast serves that force her to play a backhand counter hit return. Since Wang Yidi used them effectively last year I'd say they've been her achilles heel. And this time SY varied the placement: I thought they'd mostly go to the wide backhand. This one tactic seemed to affect Ito's whole return game. And her own service was vulnerable throughout the match. Yet more service errors when she can't afford them. Sigh. As for the future....the Sun Yingsha of 2017 is back, and she will give Wang Manyu a real test. Could beat her on this showing.

伊藤的发球越来越夸张了，有时候看她自己都控制不住自己的发球了，有点物极必反了。坦白说她的发球是很不错的，胆子也大，观赏性十足，尤其是和除中国队以外的协会打，更显得威武，和中国打感觉被强势压制，这也是中国的特点，反正特长也许我不如你，（伊藤生胶的运用中国队生胶选手应该学学）但论综合实力我不会输，打着打着对手就感觉没有牌了，没有武器了，那就成了中国队待宰的羔羊。
论变化，伊藤还是胜一筹的，但是能力确实遇到孙颖莎，变化就出不来了。莎莎需要学习大头藤的这些变化，这样才能扫过师姐
mei yang 没有 孙颖莎赛后采访还是很谦虚，希望她始终保持谦逊，向高手学习的态度，她会迅速成长。

其实就是加强回球质量和角度，避免Ito轻易变线。说起容易做起难 :) Ito其实就用横板搞直板快攻，刘国梁是专家。
孙有两点制约了她，一是弧线低她无法加力下压弹击，再就是速度快给对方的时间少，这两点恰巧不是朱的风格，朱的球摩擦多弧线正而饱满，速度也慢些，加上那次伊藤状态太火热了，输得难看

嗯，我个人的看法是，孙反手回伊藤的快攻的时候不退台，靠基本功能跟对方相持，回球快不给对面突然变向的时间。在这种近台相持的对拼中两个人不相上下，可能孙还略有优势。然而孙的正手和旋转水平高于伊藤，伊藤回孙的发球要不直接送分，要不回得又高又慢给孙进攻机会。然后正手也是，伊藤基本上相持两三个回合就挂了。还有就是，伊藤这种打法挺赌博的，然而这一场比赛运气没有特别照顾伊藤，孙颖莎和伊藤在运气上五五开。

大家都说孙的基本功好，可是在国乒里她其实还稍显脆了，在不到位的时候 力经常发过，动作的调节还有不少进步空间。她的优势是爆发力，在中台的球，能拉出别人近台的突然性和力量。
