    I got this bike in 1995 when I was 13 and I have been riding it ever since.
    I plan to give it an overhaul next winter, thank you for sharing this video.

      Wow, how cool that you are the first owner! And what an awesome bike to own as a 13-year old.
      Yes, show it some love and hop back on it! 💚🤗

    Cool build. I love 90s MTBs and it reminds me of a purple '95 C'dale M500 w/Pepperoni fork that I added to my stable last year. It came w/CODA parts including a lovely art deco cnc machined 3X chainset. I put a honey colored Brooks saddle to match the tan sidewall Maxxis DTH tires and FSA gravel style flared drop bars with iridescent forest green bar tape. I call it The Joker!
    Very tricky getting the geometry right on these bikes though...I always have to get a slightly smallish frame and then shorten/raise the stem to the max to get something that feels reasonably comfortable and responsive. Fun workshop projects though for sure!

      @@bottoncino_bicycles Correction: it’s an 18” M900…I’m 182cm. I put a 90mm Giant +/- stem on it and it shows 23cm of seat post. I put the Tektro gum rubber hooded chromed levers and Micro-shift 3x8 bar end shifters on it. I’d send you some pics if I knew how…

    Wow... I also have a 1995 M500 in the same color, and it's 22"... mine is in basically untouched condition though, everything original (down to the tires and brake pads) except for a controltech stem and seatpost. The color is so gorgeous and it's so original and barely ridden that I would feel bad about modding it. But I would do very similar to what you have done.

      Yes, I totally understand that sentiment. I was also hesitant to change too much when I first got it. But at the end of the day, I personally believe that the most important thing is that these bikes get ridden. So whatever set-up makes you happy and go out and ride, that's what you should go for! 💚

      Thank you very much! 🙏 yes, you could argue that the '95 frames with their decal design and pepperoni forks were the pinnacle of 90s Cannondales. At least I personally would say so 😅

    • @bottoncino_bicycles
      @bottoncino_bicycles  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you! Why do you think the chain needs to be longer? I always use a chain length calculator that takes into account the number of teeth of the largest cog & chain ring and distance between rear axle and bb, so pretty confident the chain length is ok
