I got this bike in 1995 when I was 13 and I have been riding it ever since.
I plan to give it an overhaul next winter, thank you for sharing this video.
Wow, how cool that you are the first owner! And what an awesome bike to own as a 13-year old.
Yes, show it some love and hop back on it! 💚🤗
Cool build. I love 90s MTBs and it reminds me of a purple '95 C'dale M500 w/Pepperoni fork that I added to my stable last year. It came w/CODA parts including a lovely art deco cnc machined 3X chainset. I put a honey colored Brooks saddle to match the tan sidewall Maxxis DTH tires and FSA gravel style flared drop bars with iridescent forest green bar tape. I call it The Joker!
Very tricky getting the geometry right on these bikes though...I always have to get a slightly smallish frame and then shorten/raise the stem to the max to get something that feels reasonably comfortable and responsive. Fun workshop projects though for sure!
Okay wow, that sounds like an awesome looking build! 🤩 Kind of want to see pictures now!
What size frame is yours and how tall are you?
@@bottoncino_bicycles Correction: it’s an 18” M900…I’m 182cm. I put a 90mm Giant +/- stem on it and it shows 23cm of seat post. I put the Tektro gum rubber hooded chromed levers and Micro-shift 3x8 bar end shifters on it. I’d send you some pics if I knew how…
the frame condition is superb!
Yes, this was quite a lucky find! 💚
Esta perfecta, me encanta ,quiero una así, saludos desde Colombia
Gracias!
Wow... I also have a 1995 M500 in the same color, and it's 22"... mine is in basically untouched condition though, everything original (down to the tires and brake pads) except for a controltech stem and seatpost. The color is so gorgeous and it's so original and barely ridden that I would feel bad about modding it. But I would do very similar to what you have done.
Yes, I totally understand that sentiment. I was also hesitant to change too much when I first got it. But at the end of the day, I personally believe that the most important thing is that these bikes get ridden. So whatever set-up makes you happy and go out and ride, that's what you should go for! 💚
@@bottoncino_bicycles true, but I have other bikes to ride!
Beautiful build, turned out absolutely fantastic.
Thank you! I appreciate it! 💚🙌
Excellent work, Bike & Video is great!!
M500, M900 and M2000 from that particular year are my dream bikes❤
Thank you very much! 🙏 yes, you could argue that the '95 frames with their decal design and pepperoni forks were the pinnacle of 90s Cannondales. At least I personally would say so 😅
I'm still in the learning stage with bicycle mechanics. But I really really I want to get together the tools to build my own rims eventually.
Great build! The M500 frame colours and finish! 👍👌😎 The wheelset! 💚
Thank you! Yeah, that frame is a beauty! 💚
Amazing bicycle 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻
Thanks! 💚
Cordula Grün...
Jetzt habe ich einen Ohrwurm. 😂
Haha, sorry!!! 💚💚💚
Well done 👌. I‘m looking forward to seeing more
Thank you! Next video comes out tomorrow! 😉
Love this build. I still have my M300 LE frame and have been thinking about a reimagining. Definitely going with the billy bonkers rubber.
Thank you! What color is your frame?
@@bottoncino_bicycles Dunno the name of it. Purple pearl, the best color of course!
Nice! All the purple 90s Cannondale frames look really great! Have fun rebuilding it!
Very cool build, think you got everything right! 👍👍
Thank you very much! Love to hear it! 💚
nice build!! make more content like this bro!!
Thanks mate, I appreciate it! And don't you worry, there will be new uploads every week! 🙌
Das sieht einfach Klasse aus!
Dankeschön! 💚
Nice work, keep going 🙌
Thank you! 💚🙌
Found a 57cm a few towns away. At 6 foot 3, do you think that size would be a good fit?
Yes, go for it! 🚀
Great build/refresh. Do you have any information on the front brake hanger?
Thank you! Yes, it's a Cannondale original part, called Force 40
To each their own, I think it looked better before!!! Great work either way!
Exactly, #yourbikeyourrules
Thank you for watching and commenting! 🙏
I want to buy this from you
Haha, won't sell you this one, but we do have the same one in blue in stock, so shoot us an email if you're interested 🙌
What did you sell this bike for?
So you didn't watch it then... 🫣
@@bottoncino_bicycles I must've missed it then. I will rewatch
@@bottoncino_bicycles Are you implying that it was not for sale because it was your bike? If so, you could just say that, it was a simple question
Apologies! Did not mean to offend you. Was intended more as a joke, because I answer it literally 13 seconds into the video 💚😉
@@bottoncino_bicycles Just because it is "your" bike doesn't mean you have no intention of selling it
Beautiful bike. I think the chain needs to be a pair of links longer though. Fantastic wheel build too.
Thank you! Why do you think the chain needs to be longer? I always use a chain length calculator that takes into account the number of teeth of the largest cog & chain ring and distance between rear axle and bb, so pretty confident the chain length is ok
@@bottoncino_bicycles I see how stretched out the derailleur cage is when on the large ring and large sprocket. It shouldn't be under so much stress.
Cool build. Generally it’s not wise to try to match the main body color, but the accents. You got some gold but I would have gone with gold nipples, pedals, grips, stem, and maybe cable housing
Thanks!
Is the fork slightly bent?
Nope, fork is all good 👍
Цепь короткая)
❔️😅
no front derailleur wtf
Thanks for commenting. What issue do you have with the lack of a front derailleur?
@@bottoncino_bicycles you need different bikes for up- or downhill
surprised you did not know that
