    I respect the fact that you respect the fish you catch. So many fisherman keep the big fish without realizing how long it takes them to grow. Keep up the great work!!

      @fishingaddict5638 thanks i know the electronics make a huge difference. Im just now realized the image is not what i see on RUclips. Most of those videos come from the other side of the country deep water to them is 15ft. The image looks different compared to 40-50ft

      That happens every trip. A 5 gallon bucket 14.50” tall. We catch a 15” crappie every trip.

    Another great vid, thanks! Mrs. Addict is twitching that fishing rod quite well during the retrieve which I believe contributes to getting more thumps. I really appreciate seeing the size of the schools you’re casting to, so thanks for the multiple screenshots. Seems to me the fish must be extremely boat shy b/c schools most often appear on the screen to be about 35 to 60 feet away, very seldom much closer. Do you notice they tend to scatter or disappear when you try to get closer to them? Also, can you give us a battery update now that you’ve had several outings since switching to lithium? I noticed the Walmart battery near the back of the boat. I’ve used EverStarts for years with great confidence and success…still do but only for trolling motor. Is yours a back up cranking battery on a Perko switch? Lastly, what bait shop do you use to get your monthly boat inspection sticker? Thanks again for your patience in addressing all my questions. Your swift, candid, and comprehensive replies over the years have made me a better crappie angler.

    • @fishingaddict5638
      @fishingaddict5638  Год назад +1

      Yes the crappies are extremely skittish. If I’m 30 feet or less they will start to move away. The first shot of live scope was close because I ran over them and that’s why they started to break apart. The lithium battery I have is on the big side (12v 200ah) so I get 6-7 trips before I have to recharge. The everstsrt is an agm starting battery. I got a Gooloo 4000A car jump starter and carry that with me just in case but no perko switch. Limit Out bait is in Clearlake Oaks and that’s where I go.

      @@fishingaddict5638 Thanks! Interesting information. Gave me some new ideas I look forward to trying. Please clarify…do you use your lithium battery for cranking and electronic accessories or just for your trolling motor which I’m guessing is a 24 volt system? And when you recharge it, do you need a specific onboard charger or do you remove the battery from the boat to recharge elsewhere?

      @fishingaddict5638  Год назад +1

      Well there are a few things to think about, so what is your budget like? What kind of fish are you going for? Now days a lot of people have live scope, but if you’re going to fish crappie like I am you’ll need something with Side Imaging at a minimum. Be prepared to spend upwards of $700 depending on the screen size. Good luck

    • @sqhunter65
      @sqhunter65 Год назад

      @fishingaddict5638 yea I seen some for about 400 with side imaging I don't need a big screen it's usually just me.
