the interviewer is looking for complex answers from Kobe as to why he is so successful and when Kobe reveals that it is actually so simple, the interviewer cannot fathom that and is constantly trying to get complex answers and I think this is because we as humans want a reason as to why we are not successful. I find Kobe very interesting as he tells you something straight and with this interview, I realise life is really simple. The difference between human and succesful athletes is that athletes take responsibility. We as humans should take responsibility of ourselves. This interview keeps talking about "god given obsession" and Kobe is constantly saying that he does not have that. It is simply loving something so much that you don't find it as work.

I know I won't be the best player on my team because we have at least 3 kids going d1 out of high school, but I know I will let us win states. I’ve started watching Kobe since I was around 5 or 6 when he was new to the league because of my family watching it. Growing up, I didn’t really have anyone guide me the right direction or put me on the right path when I fell off.
This is the Kobe I remembered, I don’t know how I could have forgotten this. He helped push me in my life whenever I felt like giving up and to always give it that extra push in whatever I did. A year later, I’ve been feeling defeated and been trying to find motivational videos/anything to help me get through. I can’t believe I am just now remembering Kobe’s words, he helped me growing up through my tough times and this is basically the only type of advice I need to carry for my lifetime.
    Thank you Kobe.

I had no idea he was so inspiring. What a man. So well put together. The Mamba mentality, improve yourself everyday. Love it. It seems that despite being retired from basketball the best was yet to come, he had so much more ahead of him. RIP Black Mamba.

This man was the thing I looked forward to watching on TV everyday. Whether it was just watching interviews, his beyond glory documentary, or his games. Felt like I knew he and was there with him. Later on i realized i hated you because you possessed what i THOUGHT I didn't have. It was a few years ago when i became an adult and came to the realization that You were on this earth to show us all just how capable we really are and that being better everyday is the only way to live.
