Easiest way would be to get the pump to that timing mark then use a pump lock tool (very inexpensive), remove the pump, get the engine to the specified point (11 atdc in this video), then reinstall the pump. You can use the special Mercedes timing AB light to get it bang on but not necessary and the tool is $$$.
Nice video, thanks. Is there some reason that the timing mark on the pump is 11 degree ATDC? It could confuse peopel to think that start of injection i ATDC.
TDC is merely a reference point for cylinder number 1. Most vehicles have timing marks before and after TDC on the balancer, the point of injection being at 22 BTDC is it takes time for the diesel to be ignited by the air and to actually start burning, we are talking milliseconds but still time. If you injected at TDC the burn would start AFTER the piston is already going down and you’d loose the force of the burn.
