Need to add either helper springs or airbags to the rear of truck plus stay on top of tht rear end n tires n carry a set of spare tires for tht trailer
Nice four car trailer. I pull a two car trailer because I want to keep it under CDL. I plan on expanding and I want to be able to hire people that can pull my trailers with just a regular drivers license. It’s so hard to find a good CDL driver these days.🎉
Just sold my Kaufman Auto hauler to the junkyard. After three years, the welds kept splitting. I have a friend who welds,he did what he could, year after year. For your safety, about every three months,or so, check all the welds. Kaufman, unfortunately has weld issues. I wish they would fix this issue.
if you want to stay in your state, just get that state's DOT number. You might be able to get a subscription to Central Dispatch, if not try Ship.cars or Uship. They are free. Uship is kind of a pain because you have to bid for loads. both sites have apps.
They probably had grease in there for a reason the oil bats are known for developing a leak and if you don’t pay attention, you’re gonna burn up your bearing and ruin your spindle so what a lot of people do and a lot of believe in tractor trailers we drain the oil we packed the bar with grease old-school way and fill everything with grease and then you never have that problemyou don’t have to worry about it leaking out because it’s not gonna leak. It’s grease just a thought.
@@Timcarhauler-ur1wx I drive truck for a living. Unfortunately, I’ve seen it happen all the time if you look at dropbox that have the 17 inch tire on them for tractor trailers they burn up a lot of barons and tires because they forget at 65 miles an hour plus that tire is going around a lot faster than a 22.5 so everything is working harder so if you don’t and you’re not paying attention, there goes your whole axle so if you treat him like an old school race and Baron and just pack everything with Reese, you don’t have that problem you can even put buddies on the front if you wantI’ve only been at this 43 years
@@vinniegillotti9347 right now i am putting on new brakes and bearings. I am seriously thinking about grease instead of oil bath. I agree, grease seems to be more reliable and prevents bearings to burn up, only oil bath I am familiar with was on the semi trailers. I have done 3 brakes yesterday, have the 4th to do today. I will decide later this morning on changing to grease.

I was looking into airbags. Just ordered a 5th wheel, it'll be here Thursday. Gooseneck makes me a little nervous. Thanks for the advice.

If needed, get an oversize permit. It cost $20 for a year, cheaper than a ticket, and I'm told applying each time you need it can be $15- $18
