I love how he took everything maturely. Him saying that the explicit scenes are educational just proves how mature & open he is. His in depth understanding of the lgbt community is one reason why he is being loved by lots. One can tell he's ready to learn & willing to take all the lessons seriously.

The explicit scenes though aren't fully accurate as in, those scenes only portray a small part of how gay sex works but not the amount of preparation that goes into it. Most yaoi manga only gives a surface level demonstration and this one does too. Although it is informative but we need to realise it's not very accurate.
I do agree that he is being a good sport and wants to give the genre a go and also entertain the audience.
Also, he has said that he doesn't have a lot of knowledge about the lgbt+ community though but of course he can learn. Most yaoi/BL manga don't tend to be very lgbt+ inclusive. Hoping to see him learn the origins of BL/Yaoi but also understand that BL comics that are more lgbt+ inclusive also exist.
@@sunnyv7745 I agree that the graphics on the explicit scenes are just surface level but for a 1st timer & has literally no knowledge about it would see this as over the top which is why Perth sees it as informative. Let's hope he gets to dive/delve deeper into really knowing more about yaoi & the lgbt community. It's already rare to see people like him who's open to learning so let's let him make his own learning pace ☺️

Perth, now that you read a BL/yaoi manga, you need to read the book of “Mo Dao Zu Shi” or also known as “The grandmaster of demonic cultivation” it’s an amazing story!!! Or maybe read the book of one of the BL series like “Love by Chance” or “Until we meet again”

it’s sweet, light, and juuust the right amount of angst in there. (plus mutual pining which is always a winning trope for me).
the ~spice~ isnt in the main story but in a side story so you can just skip it if you don’t want the ~spice~ and just want the ✨🌸fluff🌸✨ 👍

I would personally recommend the Manga (and the series based on it) "Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!" as it is a cute and fun story and I really enjoyed it

Okay okay, I’m definitely going to recommend チェリまほ(cherry magic)、消えた初恋(my love mix-up)、オールドファッションカップケーキ(old fashion cupcake), all these three have made into TV drama and the mangas are very good, super sweet and heart warming!! Maybe you can even react to these dramas as well~

So, this is your first experience reading a BL manga, and for me it's the first time I heard a BL actor reading a manga with adult content in public, and it was both funny and surprising, I usually read it in private but it was a great experience to listen to it from a BL actor, so I love it, thank you, it was great~ 🥺👌🏻♥️

Not gonna lie... there's a lot of secondhand embarrassments in this video yet I also wouldn't mind having a part 2 or making a series out of this 🤣 Tbh, this was cringe-y but I was hooked at the same time! I can't stop watching it haha. It's intriguing in a way that after every narrations, Perth's commentaries and reactions are really fun to watch. Seriously though, kudos to Perth! Aside from widening his perspective and being open to any sorts of manga, he could really pass off as a voice actor too - the way he switches the accents is already hard... if I were him, I would've broke character with each and messed it up. Overall, the video was a rollercoaster ride of emotions 😂 but that's how you know that your audience are enjoying this type content!
This was both cute and hilarious - you nailed it (sorry - pun intended, couldn't resist), the accents were so dead on for both characters! You created an exciting atmosphere, but kept it light and easy. Your reactions to the NC scenes were so cute and comical, I was laughing out loud at 2:00 am. You should also do voice overs, if that interests you, you definitely have a knack for it. 🤭😂🥰

for something a little softer i definitely recommend Here U Are! it’s absolutely amazing and a well written story :) Here’s the synopsis i found in case u want to know more: Here U Are is a Chinese web comic about a university romance. More specifically, YuYang is an openly gay sophomore who’s in charge of engaging with a group of incoming freshmen and making sure their transition into college runs smoothly. His biggest problem, however, comes from quiet giant LiHuan, who’s resting bitch face confuses YuYang into believing that LiHuan is a problem child.
As the two interact further, YuYang quickly realizes that LiHuan isn’t the bad person he once thought he was. Then as the kind hearted upperclassman spends more time with him, LiHuan starts to question his growing feelings. (love u perth!💕)
I squealed, blushed & laughed so hard listening to your voice over! It was like I'm reading BL mangas with a friend who understand & respect the community & the usual tropes behind it. It's usually hard to have a conversation/discussion with someone about BL without having them prejudiced over it, so I really appreciate you making this video! Would love to see more about you doing voiceover even if it's not BL mangas, I do really enjoy your voiceover, it's calming..I love your wise comments & funny jokes🥺🥺
P.S. I recommend "Yuki No Yousei" for you to read. It's a wholesome story about a wildlife photographer who was stranded in an outskirt village in Hokkaido where he was helped by a local guy to stay for few months in his house bcs the photographer had a mission to find a 'fairy' there. It was such a beautiful, healing, bittersweet story of finding forever loving home with your loved ones. I totally cried like a river in the end, the story line is beautifully paced & each panels were drawn like shots from camera. Very artistic! Really hope you could read that too..❤🥺

I read it while listening to "Home" covered by Westlife and it sure brought me to tears😭😭 That being said, I hope Perth got the chance to read this masterpiece. And what you meant by THAT scene, was it the last scene on the forest? 🥺🥺
This one's a manhwa, but it's called "Sign" or "Sign language". It's about this guy that owns a cafe who's deaf and another guy who is trying to get a job. Because of some things happening, he ends up working there and eventually, he starts to get turned on when he hears the deaf person speak, and the deaf person gets turned on when the guy does sign language to avoid hearing him speak. There's romance, sex, comedy, cuteness, and drama. I rate it a 10/10

It was 23 min of pure fun!! Perth, you did so great! Such a talented voice actor! And that manga was hot. You started with a high level. The story is very straightforward like it is usual for a one-shot. When you read mangas with more books there is more space for romance too. If you like it.
But in every way, thank you soo much for that great idea, the hard work with that video and the many laughs you gave us. I really love to watch it. (will watch it again several times I guess).

I also think you shocked at how explicit the sex scenes are was hilarious. Ive read this one, and it is very graphic, but not the worst one Ive seen. Ive read a lot worse then this....or better, I guess it depends on how you look at it.
