    Thank you for showing me how to have an effortless swing that is repeatable I shot a 41 today from the blues I’m usually not that consistent I was dancing today I could easily play another nine I’m usually wiped out. The feeling as you go from back swing to stepping off to left is key.

    Great stuff Danny. I struggled a lot with the heave until I took my lesson with Jim a few weeks ago. I was heaving so that the club was getting behind me too far, thereby throwing my weight too far behind which caused me to lose balance and tense my arms on the downswing. Now I understand why you've talked, in several videos, about heaving it up. It's like night and day now. I've made a huge breakthrough over the past couple of weeks. I don't own it yet but am well on my way. A lot of quality strikes lately. Am playing around with the ball position a little here and there in order to adjust the starting line ball flight based on the shot I need. Btw, for those golfers of experience (older age, lol) be careful doing the "Hurricane" Drill. I tweaked my left hip trying to do it at full speed. Recommend you do it at a slow pace until you figure out where to stand and how far to make that first step. As we used to say in the Army, "my brain was writing a check that my body couldn't cash", lol. Thanks for all the great content Danny and David! Gravity Golf is the only way to go and is the final stop on my life long golf journey.

    Hi Dan...two things:
    1. When you say "step off" with your right foot do you mean pushing off with the right foot? Or, do you mean just let the body fall hard onto the left heel?
    2. In the backswing the back should be against the target, right?
    I am binging like crazy on your channel between you and your Dad. You guys REALLY uncovered something. I wish I had heard about Gravity Golf a long time ago.
    Thanks,
    Gerry

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  Год назад

      Hi Gerry thank you for your support. The body falls off of the back foot, which is why the transition needs to be very soft. It is a subtle move the feels more like a small lean with the whole body. The back actually falls at a 90 degree angle to where your weight is at setup, with the ball being the corner of the 90 degrees.
      Feel free to call for any questions. You can contact through the site.
      Keep up the great work!

    In the past week or so I have watched “a lot” of gravity golf videos. The heave in the backswing has definitely worked for me. However no matter how many times the counter fall is explained and demonstrated I can not experience it, nor can I explain it to someone else. I just don’t get it. If others have similar thoughts perhaps a more detailed description and some slow motion videos from face on, from behind, and from the butt view would be helpful. If I am the only one that doesn’t get it, then feel free to disregard my comments. My typical round is mid 80’s. Thanks!

      Hi Joe, thank you for watching. I will do a very specific video on the Counterfall for you. It helps when you see some visuals, but essentially you are going to need to feel like you are falling about 20 degrees left of your target line at the top of the backswing. Keep up the good work and feel free to keep the questions coming. Enjoy!

    Hey Dan, fantastic video! I'm starting to work your system out, just one question. Old school advice would say that the left knee needs to point behind the ball at full backswing, where as it appears that your knee just points forward till the weight pushes your left heel down and straightens the knee, starting the swing? Thanks, Jeff

    I wonder about what appears as your head dropping like what seems like several inches on the downswing. Why is that necessary and what is impact on back compression wise?
    Love the gravity concept.

      Thanks for the questions and the love.
      By doing the drills, my swing “blueprint” was developed at the subconscious and it became very efficient. A slight drop with my head position was the result. You will develop your own blueprint!
      Since all the slack is out of my spine, there is no impact. Thanks again!

    I ve watched your swing in slowmo. It seems you bring the club slightly on the outside in your back swing and on down swing you drop your arms inside your down swing, so it looks like a loop happening so as to flatten your swing at impact. That takes some practice. I ve tried it doesnt work for me been a golfer too long

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  2 года назад

      Hi George, what you're seeing happens pretty naturally for me, because my hands stay in a very neutral position to my mid line and in a vertical relationship to my axis ( the hands and arms go up and down as the body turns, rather than behind the body in the back swing ).
      What is actually moving to the inside is my body counterfalling (moving into my left heel) in the back swing and my arms just follow the direction my body is going. A big part of being able to make this happens requires a setup that has a far enough left alignment. Check out the video on Dynamic Alignment or Powerful Drivers for a deeper dive. All the best!

      It is particularly beneficial for seniors due to the nature of effective and efficient movement. Anyone looking to maximize their level of ability and prevent injury needs to work with the natural laws of motion.

    Daniel, are higher swing weighted clubs recommended to provide more mass? If so, examples for irons, hybrids, & driver. Thanks Bernie

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  3 года назад

      I like my clubs heavy enough to make me aware of the leverage at the top of the swing and help me feel a more vertical/softer attitude. ~ Daniel Lee
      My thought is that the increased mass is insignificant. The advantage is that the extra weight will keep the club from outrunning the core and introducing slack between the body and club. My belief is that sequencing is more important than anything. Either too heavy or too light will adversely affect things. ~ David Lee

    Hi Danny, should we have the feeling of leaning the back (that is still turned away from the target) to start the 'slinging' of the arms? Greatly enjoying the vids..

    • @chadnoswal9243
      @chadnoswal9243 3 года назад

      Steve, it appears that Danny didn’t answer your question, so I will (5 months later). At the top of your backswing, your club should feel to be “floating” in the air with no tension at all used to hold it in place. At the top, you will have heaved it to the place above where it takes no effort to keep it there. The backswing is not initiated with the arms or shoulders, and there should be no conscious effort to “hit” with any muscle in your body. Instead, the counterfall begins with your entire body falling not backwards, but a lateral fall in the direction of the left seam of your left rear pants pocket (about 70* off vertical). Once you begin the counterfall in this direction, and your reach the very edge of your balance envelope; simply let your arms fall in front of your body to offset the fall, and COLLECT the ball at the bottom of the arc. DO NOT HIT....collect! Post impact, just left the arms flow naturally until the momentum ceases. The swing is then over.

Danny is saying to counterfall to 20 degrees left of the target. These are two very different descriptions of the direction to fall. Which is correct? as as older golfer, seventy five now, and in shape I find that is I lift or heave club up and try to counterweight, I still end up with the club to clunk down and though. What is good exercise, training tip. You use good golfers to show us how to do moves with older golfers (with less flexibility as you younger man who Are flexible) and do it more in slow motion. I do not understand heave and how to then do in slow motion the counter move with falling off balance. I am used to swing. I do play in low 80s when I am on. Yet I was a guy who hit the ball, using upper body in my younger days. I need to see older men with less flexibility to do what you show.

    This is no offense but I bet you can’t even describe to me anything your arms are doing in the swing because you don’t have to even think about it…..I feel like the descriptions used in golf today have ruined instruction because they’re describing positions in the swing at each part like they’re actually putting their arms there when really it’s just something that is happening….thanks
