I knew there was a lot of beatboxing and other vocal percussion in this song... BUT I did not know HOW MUCH I WAS MISSING!!!
In the studio mix, a lot of the rhythmic vocal genius of MJ is so well-blended with the masterful musical arrangement that you can't hear the full detail.
There are lots of loops and synth-based percussive elements in this one... Maybe more than any other Michael Jackson song I've reviewed so far.
Well... In this listening session, we give the instrumental a good listen through AND we go back and hear all the beatboxing and percussive masterpieces that have been previously hidden!

MJ's copyright owners will allow this video to remain on youtube but there must be consistent use of frequent stops. No one part of the the song in part or in whole can be played without frequent interruptions. This is partially why I stop and comment and sing during and after key sections that I play. If I just play the files, the video will be taken down. Presenting the files in this format with this kind of flow cements the FAIR USE intent which is why it can remain up on RUclips. Along these lines, I can not reveal where or link to the source files or I'll get a takedown notice as well. Giving away content that is not mine to give also falls outside of FAIR USE intent. Thanks for understanding and for enjoying the video! I'm excited for you to hear all the wonderful nuances!

To those who haven't delved into Michael's work extensively, it's easier for them to be dismissive or critical as they've only listened to 2% of his 40+ years as an artist. What he accomplished in that time is hard to explain in words.

Just the fact that Michael passed away 13 years ago and recorded this song some 25 years ago, and we are "Studying" his music, learning, appreciating and getting inspired by each and every track of ad-libs which probably he recorded mindlessly within a span of a few seconds, entirely new generation of musicians and artists are getting inspired by him including me.
Not sure if any other artist of today's generation (no disrespect to anyone) will be having this kind of impact after decades and decades.
"Greatest education in the world is to watch and study the masters at work", he said,
yes Michael, we are doing that right now.

Because Michael lived through his job. And his job wasn’t just singing, songwriting and dancing. It was art, emotion, messages, paint, poetry, and trying to make a change.
He broke racial barriers back then, he united and still united every generation with his art and leaves messages for every generation to come.

People underestimated Michael as a musician just because he didn't play instruments.
Those who worked with him said that he had the melody/the riff/the beat etc in his head. He usually made demo of the songs he wrote by beatboxing to everything, commanded everything that should be done by the instrumentalist. That's how he overcame his limitation. People just want to follow what the media say to undermine his talent as a musician (and to bully him heartlessly). Only those with clear minds and no hatred will appreciate his real talent.

I read somewhere that he sung, creating an ENTIRE fkn arrangement right before the eyes of other "musicians", producers, writers, all just simply tryna capture him in his element, they couldn't believe it. AND all the while not being able to READ music... and able STILL hit every note in its proper fashion. He said it himself, he doesn't read because he feels it'll ruin the entire arrangement.... The way he's hearing it, IN HIS HEAD!!! WHOA, BRO... His fkn creative process was, unlike anything I've ever felt or seen. I can't think of ANY artist that can pull this off. Thanks for doing one of the lesser known album tracks. There are so many gems like these that go relatively underappreciated.
I'd like to have seen you dive deeper into the clean harmonies during the second verse/prechorus, because that's the sickest part of the song to me. I think you only explored two tracks when to my ears there's more like 6-7 layers of harmonies in that section. I do get that your time is limited, just nitpicking :)
