I think Elara is remodeling. A friend had a room on the top floor and the common red/black theme was more gold/grey. Carpet was replaced and walls were painted to give that floor a much more modern and fresh look. That's the only floor I've seen like that, or maybe the top floor is just different? Matteo C I was a poor college student too. Luckily this room isn’t too expensive. Also with all its space, it’s easy to split the cost with a few friends. If you ever do book a room at Elara, make sure you’re an HHonors member. I’ve received room upgrades and snacks at checkin without having to ask.

I've stayed at Elara maybe 4 - 5 times in the last couple years. Internet has not been insanely fast, but it could handle everyone's devices in the room. I think they still charge for internet, but if you're a member of HHonors, you should get internet for free. Also you can connect more than 1 device if you're a member of HHonors. Slowdowns are noticeable in the early evenings. Most likely because other hotel guests are in their rooms watching videos/playing music after a long day of hanging out on The Strip. In 2014 I brought my own router and directly connected to their network (there are Ethernet drops in the room). Their WiFi network at the time was only 2.4GHz, so I put my router on an unoccupied 5GHz channel. My router and wireless connection was reliable for the duration of my stay :)
