None of you give this car enough credit. It is truly the mark of the end of an era. I own this exact car, it is luxury and muscle combined and probably the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and it still turns heads. Love my GP GXP!
I love your "down to earth reviews" honestly who can afford all these exotic supercars you have. Diversity is key or else we'd all be the same and boring.
I really love the looks of these cars! As an LS4 owner and guru, ive driven the GXP, my buddies monte carlo SS, and my two buick lacrosse supers! The cousin car to the GXP. They share the exact same suspension setup, trans minus the tapshift and obviously the same engine! The supers are definitely the true sleepers of the 4! No one suspects grandpas buick with a 5.3 to smoke a V6 or even a 5.7 hemi R/T charger or challenger. They can run them down!
What's with all the hate on this car? The Pontiac Grand Prix was an awesome car. Sure it doesn't look like a Corvette, but this car isn't anywhere near the ugliest. The only thing ugly on this car is the paint, and yes it is a very boring silver/metallic grey color. This car in burgundy or black would be nice looking. I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT1 and it runs amazingly at almost 200k miles. The 3800 series III V6 engine (200hp) is one of GM's best engines created, which was also in a lot of Buicks as well. Pontiac was an iconic brand dating back from the 1960's. I will always cherish and keep my Pontiac for when it becomes a classic years from now, and maybe Pontiac will come back one day. The 2000's was a scary decade for the economy in the US, which effected GM cars, including Chevrolet. The Aztek was an absolute failure, but the the Grand Prix, GTO, and G8 basically carried Pontiac until they lost their money from a decline in sales. Pontiac will come back one day, with a new leader that will hopefully make better financial choices.

All the hate comments... you cant admit having a ridiculous amount of torque in a FWD car doesn't sound fun? Ridiculous amount of torque compared to a honda of course.
The Monte Carlo 2000s and Pontiac 2000s production generations where the cars of my childhood. I've own a 2000 monte carlo damn thing was smoother than butter and I wish we still made cars like those with all the features and quarks it's lovely. Also why if you people hate this car and American cars so much are even bothering to leave a comment. I'll take a monte carlo or a Pontiac of yesteryear than some of these new Euro or Ameican cars.
well first off this video is 5 years old...and 2nd good luck finding a low mile gxp for 6k thats not on its 2nd trans or about to be....maybe one with like 150k miles for $6k
Kyle can you PLEASE ban Europeans from commenting on videos about American cars? I'm sick and tired of all their ignorant "facts" anti-American hate, and top gear fueled stereotypes. "Oh it cant turn" "oh such cheap interior" "oh big v8 and still slower than euro 4cyl" "oh its impractical" "i don't understand ugly american car". SHUT UP.
You shouldn't build such bad cars and we wouldn't laugh at you embarrassing attempt at automotive design. Please never change. Because we will always be superior to America.
Everyone wants the Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. A stunning looking car with a 5.3L V8 engine and 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. It can make it up to a Top speed of 160 MPH or 280 KM/h.
I think Acura pretty much has the FWD performance market mastered. 2008 Acura TL-S has 286hp from a 3.5 V6 but still launches faster than this pontiac. Handles better too im sure.
I am sorry but the high quality of this TL is hard to beat. I don't understand why American cars are so cheap in and out, and is even a challenge to even find a trunk button where you expected to be. And they aged fast too.
***** Couldnt agree more man! Not to mention they lose power really fast over time. Much faster than anything japanese. By this time, Lexus and Hyundai were getting 400+hp from a 5.0liter V8 and this is pushing 305hp from a 5.3L? Its pretty ridiculous when you think about it lol.
MrJonnyspike Lucky! Im still trying to track down a TL-S 6mt in my price range. Im sure you know by now your getting the most under rated car of all time right?
I'm seeing them at various prices. I'm interested in anything that is 120,000 miles or less. And I sure do know its one of the most underrated cars ever. I've been looking for one these for about three years now. I'm finally in grasp to buy one. All I gotta do is sell my current car first, which is an 2004 nissan sentra lol.
flexor212000 They weren't the most updated things, but they had potential. I think it could have been something really special today if Pontiac was still around
***** The G8 GXP with the manual deserves its own video. That was one helluva car. With the Holden interior it was nicer than some of the Cadillac interiors of the time.
Very typical looking inside GM car. That said I like it, and would enjoy the 300HP I'm sure. I've been on a foreign car kick for the last 11 years, but will probably go back to American on my next car.
Stick with German or Japanese. These American cars are junk. The interior looks like it's from 1998, not 2008, LOL. Not to mention this thing is super ugly.
Bryan Kendall This generation Grand Prix wasn't the best looking inside or out, I'll agree with that, but it wasn't junk. They don't have a reputation for being poorly assembled or unreliable. Try again.
Thanks for the answers. I own a volvo xv70 and never had to apply the brakes while starting. I have also driven several other cars with automatic gearboxes here in Norway, and never had to apply brakes on either of them.
Well he does that out of habit, since alot of cars are coming with push button start and it requires you to put your foot on the break in order to start the car. Also I believe all cars that are automatic needs the break applied in order to put it in gear.
you seen the comment that dubdub made, this person said he/she found one for $2200, that cant be the V8 GXP model maybe base or sports coupe, for that price something's definitely wrong with it for just $2200.

11k is way to much they should only go around for 6k low miles......
well first off this video is 5 years old...and 2nd good luck finding a low mile gxp for 6k thats not on its 2nd trans or about to be....maybe one with like 150k miles for $6k
samsquantch14 buddy bough an 07 impala ss rust free 150k for 2.5k
Pontiac feels like the definition of the 2000s for some reason
Kyle can you PLEASE ban Europeans from commenting on videos about American cars? I'm sick and tired of all their ignorant "facts" anti-American hate, and top gear fueled stereotypes. "Oh it cant turn" "oh such cheap interior" "oh big v8 and still slower than euro 4cyl" "oh its impractical" "i don't understand ugly american car". SHUT UP.
True dat
Yeah fuck Gordon Ramsey
It's fucking raw it's not fucking cooked right
You shouldn't build such bad cars and we wouldn't laugh at you embarrassing attempt at automotive design. Please never change. Because we will always be superior to America.
Lee-harry C LOL
Everyone wants the Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. A stunning looking car with a 5.3L V8 engine and 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. It can make it up to a Top speed of 160 MPH or 280 KM/h.
Heads up display in 2008? Wow, im impressed
04 had it..
I really like this car, as well as the Impala version. I love the novelty of a front-wheel-drive V8 car.
I Farted in one of these once!
You will go far in life
dafuq? 😂 and you poop? you will go far in life too
Parnveer Bining (burps) this is a car you can poop in. It's a car you can poop in! ITS A CAR YOU CAN POOP IN!!!
@@automan224 B R O W N
I still do
style wise maybe not the greatest, but this engine sounds so good it makes up for it
I want a 08' GXP so bad!
Awesome! I want one of these someday.
Thank you! Just thank you!
I'm getting a type s in couple of weeks and I also believe it is the best quality FWD performance sedan.
Hello Kyle, Is this car for sale at all or has it gotten sold years ago?? I love this car!❤
Kyle can you do a video on the pontiac g8?
The ding sounds so soothing
Alex W that's one thing I've always loved about GM. All their vehicles key in ignition chime
a 4 speed gearbox? what a piece of shit
Had an 06 Impala SS, loved it. Only bad thing about these cars is there transmissions, hence why I traded it in.
Ah Pontiacs (aka plastic paradise). Stuff just falls off and breaks randomly on those. The radio looks straight out of 1990 lol.
flexor212000 They weren't the most updated things, but they had potential. I think it could have been something really special today if Pontiac was still around
***** I found them pretty bland and ultra boring looking. I never liked them at all but hey to each their own!
***** you already have a review on a pontiac GXP, that one was red
My 05 CompG is in perfect shape. Nothing broken and nothing rattles.
***** The G8 GXP with the manual deserves its own video. That was one helluva car. With the Holden interior it was nicer than some of the Cadillac interiors of the time.
This is the kind of reviews I like!
Bryan Kendall you forgot it's 2014 for a sec lmao.
Jeremy Lewis What do you mean? The car is a 2008.
Bryan Kendall This generation Grand Prix wasn't the best looking inside or out, I'll agree with that, but it wasn't junk. They don't have a reputation for being poorly assembled or unreliable. Try again.
SuchANiceGirl22 I think it's a great looking car. That is of course my opinion.
This would be my next car if it had a manual transmission... gosh I wish the gxp had a manual option!
More american v8 cars please
Thanks for the answers. I own a volvo xv70 and never had to apply the brakes while starting. I have also driven several other cars with automatic gearboxes here in Norway, and never had to apply brakes on either of them.
Well he does that out of habit, since alot of cars are coming with push button start and it requires you to put your foot on the break in order to start the car. Also I believe all cars that are automatic needs the break applied in order to put it in gear.
I do not care how but i will be finding a way to get one must have one
It could be a potential sleeper.
Trevor Gilbert Ive beaten some subarus with my gxp :)
Beautiful car
Great review,keep it up,mate
Cool more videos of cars I can't afford... Wait... Nah, still can't afford it lol :(
clutchmsilvap LOL, what do you mean? These cars can be found pretty cheap on the second hand market!
Very cheap, I just found another one today on a fb site, all custom painted and stuff, with a little over 150k miles for $2200(obo)
not no V8 model GXP, no way, where do you live it must be something wrong with it unless it's either a base model or just sport model type
You can find these in my area for cheap and you can find a used car dealer that can get you low payments on these car's
nice kyle, what are you asking for 2008 GXP Grand Prix? How many miles? one owner or two?
more old amercian big block v8 cars
I plan to pick up an 05’ comp g within the next year or so as my first car, 2.7K saved, hope to have around 4K by then
u can get this car for 7 thou easy
that's about the right price now-a-day
you seen the comment that dubdub made, this person said he/she found one for $2200, that cant be the V8 GXP model maybe base or sports coupe, for that price something's definitely wrong with it for just $2200.
a 2002 Pontiac grand prix would be 2200 not well a 2008 09 in my area are like 6500-8200 if it has low miles and is in great condition the higher the price is
Zach Chicano where bro..?
Yay you finally redid it lol, awesome car to see yet again on the page
