I like her voice but i'm not getting buckethead vibe from this album. His ability to tell stories without lyrics is overshadowed by her voice.
Exactly how i felt the whole album through untill the last song then i finally realized how good she is when serious lyrics come into play for bucks emotional playing
I don't know. I'm not loving her voice all the time. Love Bucket to bits, and always appreciate his experimentation, but I'm also hoping she is just a guest for a few songs on the tour and isnt a large presence for the whole show.
Anything new on tour is welcomed by me. A wolfs howl, a baby screaming, a smoke alarm. I mean soothsayer for the 100th time is a given. Anything original to the tour is better than meta matic

@bbystellar We all have our opinions. Not all art appeals to all people. When I go to these shows next month, I do hope to enjoy what I hear, and I don't particularly enjoy this singer. No need to get defensive about it.
Also, my username, since you seem to care, is a reference to the Misfits song We Are 138, which is commonly interpreted as based on the movie THX 1138. It's about being turned into identical worker drones in service to the state. It's not a literal call to conformity, lol.

Can’t get into her voice, all digitalized, lyrics seem like there just off the cuff. I’ll have to pass on this one.
Edit: I don’t want it to seem like I dislike her voice. I’ve given it a few listens. I think she has a beautiful voice, but I think the arrangement, lyricism and certain registers are what keep me from really getting into it. I can picture her voice with those key things changed, and I think I’d enjoy it a lot. Regardless of my opinion, the girl has got super talent! And we all know what Big B brings every time…. 🔥

Love Buckethead. Catalyst show to start the tour rocked. I will catch the Rocklin show in June. I have to be truthful here. She is out of key most of the time. Nice change to have some lyrics but playing with arguably the best guitarist in the world, I expect more. Sorry, just MHO.

She has a charm about her akin to Maximum Bob, example at the ending of American Nightmare her "let me go" chants sound like they're from a Texas chainsaw movie victim.. a nice switch up between harmonious & chaotic vocals. Awesome Album B, I love the polished pro sounding guitar, noticeably different from other pikes.. PLEASE extended the tour abit to include OHIO lol ❤

I am saying this in the nicest way possible. I wasnt a fan of her voice from day one but she's downright awful live. I went to Ardmore and was let down listening to her half the time. He also didnt give out toys or let anyone Play the Killswitch this time. It sadly didnt feel like a Buckethead show to me. Please bring Brain back on tour, hell have Claypool tag along too and let's do this thing properly
I hope he releases this as an instrumental album at some point… or I’m gonna have to stem this. These vocals are terrible.

Last track is so good
First couple sucked vocally, then she actually started singing and was fine, and BH mellowed his guitar to her singing so they became a partnership. Ripping track 9, at last and a mini solo to remind us why we love him.
It's like 1-8 were the buildup and everything locked in for 9 which, for me, is some of the best work BH has done in quite some time.
Maybe that's my problem. I don't like the starting tracks and haven't been able to continue because I was sad that I felt her voice ruined the music. Maybe when I'm in a different mood, I'll start this straight from track 9 and gain appreciation.

I can strongly recommend you Buildor, Far, Poseidon, Oneiric Pool, Sunken parlor (Wall slide), The five blocks, Meteor Firefly Net (Images from void), Rivers and seas (Other portals)... in the parenthesis are the particular top songs from the pike, others you can listen as whole... there are many many more riffy guitar pikes, I can mention Claymation Courtyard from earlier releases... from newer you definitely try Dancing soul and Treehouse backwards in time. You won't be dissapointed and you will love them all

I've been a fan for about 30 years, and while this album took me some getting used to, I quickly got into it, and WOW, like everybody says, that final song is a knockout (and not just for the solo)! "Close your eyes and dance with me... nobody has to see." Wow...
One Man Party (reprise) is becoming a new favorite of mine. It’s so good!
