Cryptos only inherent value is the electricity cost to mine it or to run it. If you take it out of the equation then it’s no different to fiat in the sense that it’s only the promise of value being held by the authority of the currency, be it imposed or due to adoption or necessity. I don’t think eth can hold it’s value without mining in the current landscape.
