Actually people need balance in life. So it makes sense. People these days think intellectual discussions are cool and someone who is just joking around and enjoying is a stupid person, but when I sit in a crowd where the only discussion is that I will do this and that in future and things should be like this n that, in my mind I am like, fuckin do it then. Because I am in a field where you need to think a lot. So that aspect of mine is fulfilled and hence I look for other things like entertainment, performance, stupidity, etc.

Great discussion. Disagree with only with THE WAY Amabnis were compared to Tatas. Ambanis (IMHO) are the people who give a bad name to wealthy people. The are the real life version of what Bollywood depicts dramatically. They are known as the people who earn their money through manipulative and corrupt ways and being bloodsucking parasites for their own employees. Tatas are loved because they create wealth for the society and get rich in the process. It is a great example to make an opposite point in fact that it is not just the wealth that determines people's reaction. It is just one variable in the equation. Even in money centric US society, Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg do not gain respect like Elon Musk or Bill Gates.
These comedians are heavily misguided. The western countries don't idolize or celebrate the rich. Just look at how much the super-rich in those countries are committing to donations for the betterment of lives in poor and developing countries some are even committing all of their wealth. And Tatas are one of them. And instead of praising them, they are demonizing them for corrupting our brains. On the other side, they are praising the obviously corrupt family.

SIPS in equity should be continued I’ll explain why. Let’s say you have a SIP of 500 per month. The NAV of the fund is 20 as of yet. So you brought 25 units. Let’s say the value of NAV is 50 now so you get 10 units. Now let’s say the value falls to 10. This time you are buying 50 units. In short SIPS does what you actually need to do, buy more stocks when the price is less and buy less stocks when price is more. Hope this helps :)

I'm very happy to see that someone is finally talking about money out loud. Not in whispers, mot behind a veil, not with a hidden agenda but openly and freely. Money deserves to be talked about. But I have a couple of constructive criticisms here. What is being displayed is a middle class mentality to money but not a large picture view by itself (I mean no disrespect to anyone, it's just that there's a whole different perspective that's worth going into). There were taboos spoken of (Like not saying you have money. Or even hiding it or feeling guilty) These taboos are blindly and incorrectly applied but there are circumstances when hold great cleverness. So it turns out that most people have less than half understanding and are chasing the wrong things and making really bad decisions. This reflects in the decisions to buy mutual funds and manner in which they are bought buy people at large. How debt is looked at with a dirty eye whereas the truth is it's difficult to generate a huge pile of wealth without ever taking on debt. There is a remarkable difference between first generation of money and later ones and how it used, displayed. The first generation needs to be in formals whereas the second can even go to a board meeting in boxers What you have covered is only the first. I would love to see the other generations coming in as well. Earlier videos such as these haven't received a strong acceptance but your audience seems strong and willing to hear what you have to say. This hating the idea of wealth creation happens in interviews also. Everytime, we are asked the reason to change jobs and the simple point of better pay is scorned upon. The HRs would often shamelessly say, "if money is the reason for job change then what will stop you from leaving our company". A simple answer is giving what I deserve would stop me from looking outside but a whole environment is created where asking for money is bad and candidates have to be creative or just lie about their existing jobs.
5:47 Sir, Doctors certainly know the value of their work and they can negotiate well too, but do you think the poor will be able to afford healthcare services if we*doctors* do that? Let's take the example of a dentist, you might have heard it very commonly that dentists charge a lot :) but do people realize that the work we do, is of utmost risk? A dentist can injur one of your nerves and leave you with Tedhe lips, same goes for every other type of doctor, be it a surgeon or a dermatologist. Also even if we keeps the 'patients afford nahi Kar payenge' Wala point aside and look at this issue with another perspective. Doctors are going to be defamed if they charge much, because healthcare services are NECESSITY. COMEDY isn't a necessity. The type of people you deal is also different. 4:30 truly an honest discussion. Loved it. Even I've been going through this debate in my own head as to why have people demonized making money. Making only money is bad but if you're making good money to become prosperous without harming anyone, I don't think it's a bad thing at all. And I'm starting to understand that learning to monetize your skills and hobbies (side hustle) will help your earn good passive income.

Can we do a show, with people that belong to salaried class and how they can look for investments and other stuff. This will also help us in understanding how to plan our expenditure.
The main reason why we don't discuss about our wealth is that if we tell anyone about our wealth then they can demand money in future as they know our financial position.
Everything was good chai pr charcha....but that Tata and reliance comparison is bad...Tata contributes with genuine intent to build the nation...they have TISS TIFR...they pay huge amount of taxes , not laundering it...I don't respect Tata for his humbleness but I respect the ethos of work which to be profitable with doing good for society... Reliance has been in multitude of cases where they went for predatory pricing, ex telecom sector....many times anil ambani goes bankrupt and sells his company in an auction where mukeshji buy it at about 30-40% of its actual price...it's like win win for both brothers and government ke lauode lg jaate Hain..
Too good content. You guys might be the first ones to start this kind of conversation for Indian crowd. Keep it up. We'd really appreciate some solutions to the problems you guys discuss with money. Proper planned solutions.
The reason why we don't talk about our possessions is that it gets on our mind. Try it and the next time you think of buying somet, you'll have this voice telling you "arre apne pass toh itna Paisa hai, we can anyday buy this" . And the reason why people in show biz Don't disclose truly because it gets on the people's mind . So the next time you see nishant youll hear this voice saying" arre isko kya jarurat hai kaam karneki, 5 flat hai bhade pe jee sakta hai" . It's all in the head.

Making only money is bad but if you're making good money to become prosperous without harming anyone, I don't think it's a bad thing at all. And I'm starting to understand that learning to monetize your skills and hobbies (side hustle) will help your earn good passive income.
Strange, until listening to this podcast, I never realised people have guilty of they make money. I always thought that unless I make enough, I won’t be able to give back and make a difference.
I am a uni stude t and i went to banks with my mom and dad all the freaking timee, like when she said mai icici mai rooi hun it hit diff but i still dont know how i should train myself fromnow itself to learn about smart investing
I am fucking glad at least u guys are talking bout it . Period
it was dr. dre and jimmy iovine (interscope records) who sold beats, not jay z (rockafella records)

@@HJGAMINGGGGGG no, I've watched the documentary series Tanmay mentions. It's called 'the defiant ones', it's on Netflix.
Even apart from that, a lot of people know that beats is by dr. Dre coz uss brand ki tagline hi yeh hai "beats by dr. dre"
i am just 16 right now, but watching these episodes makes me feel that i just hit my next lvl of maturity .....
9:51 😂When friend starts showing off his skills!
This podcast was actually really enjoyable and it made so much sense.
I think watching others talk about money to educate yourself is one of the best ways to understand how money works.
To become wealthy one has to devote time, knowledge, skills but to remain average just have to think that "money is not everything" 😂
I am learning so much in this lockdown, tanmay bhaiya deserves some credit too🙌🙌🙌...
Also you were my stress buster in my 12 boards this year so thanks for that😊😊😊...
Can we do a show, with people that belong to salaried class and how they can look for investments and other stuff. This will also help us in understanding how to plan our expenditure.
agreed, hope @honestly_by_Tanmy_bhat sees this comment !!
yeah! till then u can try "MY MONEY UNIVERSE" youtube channel to learn more. its pretty cool
I love series man. Just love it. Thanks. Keep it coming.
1:44 ffs Tanmay, you've spent 4 podcasts talking about why we don't talk about money.
hahahahahahah
This line ‘if you dont know your own worth, how can you ask money from others’ I have used it effectively while asking for a salary raise.
Everything was fine!!
Bt as HipHop nerd: Beats Jay-Z ne nhi, Dr. Dre ne becha tha.
yeah but Jay-Z did far better at Yeezys.

The main reason why we don't discuss about our wealth is that if we tell anyone about our wealth then they can demand money in future as they know our financial position.
Yes its so true - hence don't mention how much you make, but how to save money and learn ways to do so from others
00:42 *FAKE LAUGH* .. PRASHASTI realizes "Oh, snap.. that wasn't funny." ..
Nobody hates wealth, people are just either afraid of risks which are generally involved in trying to earn more or are just lazy
I loved this so much. But someone was breathing so heavily.
Ab breathe karne pe bhi tax lagvaoge kya?
a very grown up conversation that I needed to hear. Thanks everyone.
From 6:26 I started hearing weird breathing noises 😶 did anyone else hear that
I kinda synced it with mine...weird
I can hear that from the beginning!!
@@thor4259 it's breathing sound
i didn't notice that at first, thanks to your comment NOW I CANT FUCKING UNHEAR THAT.
This is super educational, all the love, Tanmay. You're guiding the youth towards the right direction.
Gaurang Sanghvi starts talking about important things.
Me: *concentrates on Saurav Ghosh's heavy breathing*.
Tanmay, great content. Needed for the youth of India jisko lagta h sab changa si.
That's the thing I save my data for

This question should be asked and discussed with people who don't make much money!!
6:28 that breathing sound it just so irritating and funny at the same moment 😶😂
Do more discussion with Prashasti ya ... she just lights up everything
The videos are great but you guys can make the thumbnails more interesting
Too good content. You guys might be the first ones to start this kind of conversation for Indian crowd. Keep it up.
We'd really appreciate some solutions to the problems you guys discuss with money. Proper planned solutions.
Jay-Z nhi, Dr. Dre sold beats... beat by Dre
More of this dude! Fun and informative! Keep it up!
