TOKYO ICED TEA - Bright Green Long Island Iced Tea!
HTML-код

- A simple variation on the Long Island Iced Tea. Substitute in Midori melon liqueur in place of the triple sec and voila - a bright green, potent cocktail with it's name most likely derived from the bright green Midori's home country.

You should do a video of you making cocktails while drunk. That would be hilarious. Hahah 😂
I'm doing another shooters video when I hit 200k - I'll probably be a little boozy in that one >_
@@StevetheBartender_ Careful with your promises there sparky. That 200K mark is damn close and we expect some proper drunk action!
Kurt Mifsud Bonnici haha I know, Mighty close!!
I'm trying to figure out if the show would be very different. I think we've seen him shooting videos tipsy more than a couple times.
I would love to see that lol
I loved your reaction when you took the lid off the shaker and you commented on how green it was.
Haha, luminescent!!
Your smile gets me everytime ☺️😅
Looks creepy
Steve, I appreciate your honest feedback on the cocktails you make plus on how you think it could be better. Salud ..
I love the colour that this drink turns out! Looks delicious!
Steeeve, this is like my 5th favorite drink, I add coconut rum instead of light rum. Vanilla vodka is another good sub. Lots of options... Cheers!
Can you do a video of the must haves for your bar, like must have spirits/liqueurs/syrups and equipment?
Are you making a bar at home or for a business?
@@aalekhine5109 women evolve from kitchen to the bar
i'd love this, just recently got my own place and have a few empty shelves in the kitchen i'd like to fill up
A Alekhine probably at home. I actually have a decent collection for my bar but that was because I was learning how to make different drinks but I would like to too what must haves I need
For liquor I would highly recommend you always have white rum/baccarti in stock because I'm learning how to make drinks myself and noticed that it's the main ingredient in a lot of drinks get the lime flavor and the regular flavor
Nice one, and the presentation makes it look tropical and unusual
Sometimes I watch your videos and try not to smile when you smile while shaking the drink. I haven’t been able to do it yet
Never been a big Midori fan, but this is a great one for anyone that is! Cheers!
the colour its so beautifull
That looks delicious!
I think this might actually be my favorite so far.
I never comment, but you have a great spirit, good attitude and love the way you approach drinks... Well done mate, as my Aussie nephew says...
What's your preference - Long Island Iced Tea, AMF, Tokyo Tea or neither of these?

I think the main difference is maybe that the sprite doesnt have as much sugar as the coke has, therefore the drink lacks a bit of sweetness to mask the alcohol like the long island ice tea does!! But looks delicious! way to go steve :D
Yep! I agree, the standard LIIT masks the booze much more with the same ratios..
The trademark Smile while shaking the mix Hahah 😂love it.....
oh hell yess i just bought midori because of the number of vids you’ve been making on it lately, I can actually try this right now :))
Update: very interesting drink! But as you said, the Long Island is unbeatable when it comes to that effect where it hides the taste of the 5 spirits. But still, I have some friends who have the Long Island as their favorite drink (gee I wonder why lol) and it’s gonna be fun showing them the variations!
Personally I’m enjoying the Japanese Slipper the most out of the midori drinks you’ve been presenting lately.
Just found your channel not long ago. Looking to do my own cocktail show. Since I am not a professional bartender. I am looking at having fun doing this. You make it look so easy. Nice setup.
Great video steve!!
Cheers mate. Gonna go make me one now.
This is comedy gold, watching someone work while on it. Just watching this for the comedy factory, not planning to ever make something like this. It'll blow my head off!
Hi Steve, could you make a video about different types of glasses? I am new in making drinks and I want to know which types are best for begginers. Keep up your great work with this channel!
I am Japanese but first meet this cocktail. Also actually I can not drink alcohol heavy, but want to try this one. Thankyou for upload!おいしそう(looks good taste)
That smile when he shakes always gets me
Oh I gotta try this one!!
Oh my god I'm definitely trying this! I love all variations of a Long Island but never even heard of this one before!
Great video Steve.
Cheers Ross! 🍻
Love your channel :)
Im looking forward to having this tomorrow night
Let me know what you think!
The smile while shaking is the best part
Worst part for me :P
I think drinking some long island iced teas with you would be a blast 😁
11/10 on the Long Island!!
That looks tasty AF
Fun tip I discovered! If you ever buy the pre-mixed long island stuff from the liquor store it will usually have a very strong tequila after taste. This can be mitigated by using vanilla flavored cola instead of regular cola. Could also use a bit of vanilla extract but I haven't experimented with it yet.
I've never seen a Long Island premix here in Australia..
I doubt you'll read this but I had a 'Dont Throw Stones' the other day and it was possibly the best Islay whisky cocktail I've tried:
- Whisky
- Islay Whisky
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Honey
- Egg White
I wasn't sure about the egg but shaken and poured over ice with a lemon it was delicious.
The sweetness brought everything together and even by my SO loved the taste, who dislikes whisky (especially those that are peaty and smoky).
Fred Pardy sounds like a Penicillin with egg white :-) check it out here: ruclips.net/video/KYixmx56Agk/видео.html
props on the metal straw mate
Did you have two almost empty bottles of espolon tequila?
Hey Steve, great vid'!
I went on your website and found the idea that we can add more to your bar-back is really cool, but everything is already taken :o
You should had more! :D
Cheers from Belgium
I had to limit it otherwise I would have too much on the Backbar and would be giving shoutouts 2-3 times every video.. it was lose its specialty :-) I’ll mention it in a vid when I list some new bottles! Thanks for your support! 👌
Steve I just moved into a new apartment and got my mixer set ready. All I need is the alcohol, then I’m going to be making so many cocktails and following your recipes! I can’t wait 😁
Nice work Celeste! What’s the first one you’ll be making?
Definitely going to start with your 5 easy vodka recipes, then the 10 easy cocktails. Then my all time favorite the Long Island 😁
This was my favourite drink during my erasmus (1 semester abroad) in Rome. After 2/3 drinks of Japanese, I was more than fine. 😎
Thank you man, since I subscribed to your channel I drink more!
my go to drink 10/10
Watching from Japan!🇯🇵
Your smile makes me happy!!
I always look forward to videos😍
I will continue to study cocktails and English in your videos.
Thank you👍
Hello Steve, have you ever try stevia? I've heard that is sweetener substitute, maybe we can use that herb to make syrup or liquor?
I love how you always say "Link up here" and there's never a link up there 😂😂 Love your videos Steve!!!
KAYBEE interesting they do appear for me on the iOS app and desktop browser. May need to click the encircled i icon to pull them down.
They’re there.. sometimes there is a delay so if you watch the video straight after uploading, it might be missing... but as Stephane mentioned... if you’re on a phone app, press the circled i..
You might have Annotations toggled off. On desktop, there is a button for them when you click the Gear icon in the lower right. If you're not seeing the information overlays, check that setting and turn on Annotations and then you will.
Oh goodness. Tokyo Iced Tea reminds me of college.
Thanks for the video! Is it worth the trouble to find a bottle of Midori? Are there another cocktails for this liquor or are there more for the Curacao Blue?
Ok, I've made this drink several times, and I've found that adding a bit more midori gives it a bit more flavor. I think I'll have an AMF to celebrate! Cheers...
Lol, big AMF fan!
I don’t even drink much.. but I can’t stop watching these videos 😂
He took more time taking off the lime juice lid than adding the lime juice to the cocktail. Pretty funny. This looks good
I don't know how it tastes but it sure looks great.
The last two cocktails are similar with my home-brew cocktail named "Quick Herring"
Recipe:
1) Take all strong alcohol that left after party
2) Mix them all in equal parts as possible
3) Serve in a shot glass
After a few cocktails you will get drunk really quick. And on the morning you will get so strong hangover that you will feel itself like beached herring.
Good luck =)
Just wondering the is the sour mix made? Do you just pour the lime juice with the simple syrup or make it together. Thanks.
hey steve, i think you should do closeups with the camera of each cocktail once youve made each one like you did today. really nice but id probs put it a little earlier, straight after you finished making the drink? cut to the cocktail up close?
Wow very green ! Keep up the good work :) but how about more beer cocktails ? :P
Just waiting for that smile 😂😂
So when I do my long islands or any base of the 4. I use lime in my sweet and sour mix then lemon. I tend people love it better
Awwwww you are so cute for not swearing! 😆
Dudes got mad shaking skills
Drunk Steve making videos = epic!! LOL of the variations you've made so far which was your favorite? Also I noticed that you only splash the sprite on top, wouldn't it be better to give it a bit of a stir to get the flavors and sugars to meld?
If i can't find Midori is it then possible to use bols melon insted? Also i would like to see some videos on Fernet Branca, i always stare at it wanting too see more done with fernets
Gotta make a Texas Tea it's my fav. Take out triple sec for bourbon
I wonder if using blavod (black vodka) would make this a good halloween themed drink or even shot. 🤔
Super duper agreed on that decision. Midori for triple Sec 100%
For the amf, just use more Sprite. Ya really need more than a splash
Subscribed btw:)
It izz what it izzz
I've just spent about 120 quid on ingredients for this. I'm hoping it's good!!
I do not shake mine and it comes out significantly better.
What drinks do you recomend for first time drinkers?
Is Mango Liqueur compatible with long island ice tea because I dont have curaçao or midori on me
Love the channel btw. Is this not an LA Ice tea though? (Sorry if someone has already asked this)
I can't wait for your collab with Leandre and Marius 🤤
Hi Steve can you make a Harvey Wall Banger and Pink Panties. Thank you
When you said you weren't impressed with the Adios Muther F*cker, I completely understand. I've had very little experience drinking cocktails so far, but I will say that I don't fault anyone for not liking a particular drink. It really depends on your taste preferences and what kind of liquor you like. Unfortunately, cocktail bars are not popular where I live, but there is a liquor store close by, which is why I'm glad for videos like these. I can afford to buy a few bottles of booze, and try out different recipes on myself and some friends at home, experiment with the measurements, and really get a taste for what I like to drink. I encourage others to watch these videos and do the same. Cheers Steve!
:D that smile
midori and the mojito'is a good'drink'
Was about to make an L.I.T. but I paused and asked "What does Stee say?" and then I found this variation and made it. Good, not great, and gets the job done.😁
素晴らしいです! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ I really need to buy some Midori! I love this green color...
When will the app be on the App Store?
Do you drink every day steeve?! coz I see a video almost every day :D :D
This one is nice too senor. Might call it the green lizard lol
I don’t drink but this looks good.
Have you already done a video for the LA Sewer Water?
Lmao I tried that one once following the tipsy bartender recipe and it was God awful. Didn't hide the alcohol a damn bit
I’m loving all these variations, which one is your favourite personally?
Just the plain ole Long Island... but in saying that, the Long Island isn’t my style of drink that I’d choose..
Steve the Bartender Very reasonable, they are a rather strong cocktail
I like the color combination, but it must be very strong.
Teaching under the influence? LOOOOVE IT!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
But in all seriousness, I think you keep missing the simple syrup and you’re adding way too much alcohol. Try with 0.50 oz pours. Cheers!!!
Haha, I should rename the channel...missing the simple syrup in which cocktails?
Steve the Bartender In the AMF and this one too. Although I’m sure that the Tokio Tea would be better with just a 0.50 oz of each liquor just to make it a little less stronger.
Great suggestion to use lime juice. I’ll try that next time at work! 😃😃😃
Raul Mondragon the AMF did have sour mix which is made with simple syrup.. there was plenty of sugar.. this needed more though..
Steve the Bartender Oh! I thought I heard lemon juice only. My bad! In all honesty I was having a cocktail or two while watching that video. Cheers! 😂😂😂😂
Raul Mondragon haha no worries!
I wanted orange! It gave me lemon-lime!
Steve, I messed up. I showed my wife this video and told her, yes, I'm making this. Not only did she only focus on your smile, she DEMANDS I smile like you when I make her fav drinks! I'm screwed.....
Haha sorry mate! Looks like you’re stuck with smiling from now on 😋
omg that damned smile X"'D
I like tipsy Steve
I'm actually better on camera too - I should drink more often!
Just shake and smile boys, shake and smile
Great smile, and just a quick question: when you make the sour mix or the lime juice, how do you prevent it from getting bad? Thanks from Germany
You don't. Fresh juice only lasts (flavor-wise) for a day or two. Squeeze as much as you need, squeeze more when you need it.
It may help to just substitute the fresh lime juice if you don't have any with lime white rum like lime baccarti
How does it compare with the AMF or the Long Island ice tea .. better or just more of the same (getting you drunk)?
I’d prefer just a plain ole Long Island.. not a fan of these variations..
Kurt Mifsud Bonnici I would imagine that it's all the same, just depends on the alc. content of the triple sec or the blue curacao. Midori has a 30% alc content, and I think that most triple secs are a bit higher. But there's really no difference in strength, it's just about flavour
mizz maria I’m surprised to say this as I don’t usually drink any sodas but I think it works better with the Coke rather than Lemon, Lime Soda..
As a non-experienced drinker with pretty much only single malts in the liquor cabinet, I'd like to be able to make cocktails with my friends when they come over but I don't know where to start and what to buy. There are so many different kinds of liquor I don't understand any difference between. Could you maybe do a video about a few great bottles you can buy that go in many different drinks? A starter kit if you will.
I love how you are classing yourself as inexperienced but you have a collection of fine single malts >_<
100% - this is definitely a bottle I need to do - it's on my ever-growing list of videos to do =)
@@StevetheBartender_ Hah! Well, there is such an abundance of whisky content to be found online so it wasn't that overwhelming to learn about and then when going to the store all you need is one bottle and glasses at home. No need for special equipment or many different ingredients ;)
On the long island video would you recommend those liqueurs over your old video
Answering your other Q next on the original vid :-)
I love long island iced tea’s Tokyo iced tea’s, and of course the adios mf. All three are very strong and good drinks 🍹 in my opinion!!
Still can’t deal with the “team” thing. But everything else, awesome.
Lol, why’s that? I only batch filmed 3 or so videos with the word team and already decided it isn’t my thing 🤣🤣🤣
日本語字幕が欲しいな
I want to Japanese subtitles.
Could you add Japanese subtitles to this video?
I love you without beard. You have a beautiful smile.
Cute ;)
Where do you get your pourers? Dope apron.
