@@mohammadfaisal7143 huh? Harshit was the best player for India against Australia’s PM’s XI. He bowled 6 for 44 and 4 while Prasidh bowled 6 for 37 and 1. There was nothing wrong with Harshit’s selection. Australia has won 10 pink ball matches in a row. Barely anyone else in the world has pink ball cricket so it’s a massive advantage for Australia. Not only are they playing on home soil on pitches they’ve played on for years they’re also accustomed to dealing with the pink ball while batting. Being accustomed to playing white or red ball cricket your whole life all of a sudden you’re playing with a ridiculously shiny pink ball on grounds you’re not comfortable on dealing with the difference of playing during the day, at dusk and then with the lights. It’s all a lot to deal with again, especially against a juggernaut like Australia.
completely different pitches in Sydney and Melbourne. I think Akash forced more false shots than anyone except Bumrah in Melbourne (including the Aussies). He was very unfortunate to not have a decent haul. It’s a minute factor but he’s also slightly more useful as a batsmen than Prasidh. We saw how important Bumrah’s onslaught at the end of the first innings ended up being. Akash saved India from having to follow on and likely saved the Adelaide test. Also you can make an argument that Akash was India’s second best bowler in Melbourne. Siraj absolutely has been a different man since Australia’s second innings in Melbourne and in their first innings in Sydney but remember he struggled mightily in the first innings in Sydney. In Melbourne Siraj combined for 46-192-3 while Akash was 43-147-2. Siraj took an extra wicket and 2 of his 3 wickets were Australia’s best batters at the moment (Smith, Labuschange and Khawaja, who’s struggling but helped India get a major breakthrough early in Australia’s second innings.) Akash got the key wicket of Steve Smith when he looked like he was poised to get to 200 and then it looked like he was winding up Australia’s tail end after he got Carey but somehow Boland and Lyon had a 70 partnership. So the numbers in Melbourne are debatable in terms of who had the larger impact but, again, Akash was very unfortunate to not get more wickets in both innings. He was bowling very well.
Australian here. India is definitely in the box seat to win this match. Another 40 runs & the game is over. Pant played a great innings. Kostas has so many technical & mental flaws & he is being exposed.
I think Konstas is being rated way too highly. The first innings where he knocked Bumrah around was mostly owing to novelty factor. He's talented no doubt but he hasn't been able to produce anything even close to it ever since.
Way to humble man cmon, Another 40? Sheesh no way easy win for Australia tomorrow. Another 80 though. Fair enough I’d like this comment, deserved dislike. Nah, Im playing big ⬆ Chris.
This is Australia's game to lose the Aussie's will pull it through and we can start celebrating some retirements - Rohit and Kholi and probably the most biased of commentators Manjrekar 😂
I am sure Bumrah will play. Tomorrow will probably the last day of the tour and he can rest till Feb 19 for champions trophy. I hope we add atleast 55 more runs to get lead past 200. It will be a advantage. Konstas smith and head are key for them.
250 is not happening on this pitch. A lead of 200-220 is a very good total. But without Bumrah I feel like we really need 250-275. Siraj bowled really well and there was crucial breakthroughs from Prasidh and Reddy but it just seems like a lot to ask for those 3 seamers to bowl out this Australia lineup without Bumrah for less than 250 is a monumental ask. Maybe Washington or Jadeja can have a huge innings with the bat. Neither has been dominated in this series and it feels like they’re due for a big score (even though Washy had the half century in the first innings in Melbourne which was overshadowed by his partner for the majority of that half century, Nitish Reddy, who had his maiden century). Very interesting situation with Bumrah. With IPL coming up I can’t imagine any kind of risk being taken with him. BTW does anyone know if IPL pays the full salary if a player is injured before the tournament starts? I can’t imagine Mumbai not paying Bumrah if he’s unable to bowl in the IPL 2025 because of an injury he picked up playing test cricket for India. The Ambani’s would be disgraced
@@eaglewinnings8003 That's a dream, It is just a matter of time for Australia to win tomorrow, most probably with in two sessions.India officially died in Test Cricket.😁it's not their cup of tea.Once Australia pack them in bags and send them back then They just only stick to IPL ,that's only thing they are good at ,Should not dare play test cricket anymorw 😁😁😁
Imagine how useful Ashwin would have been in this game. He would have contributed in setting a 200+ target as well as bowling in the 4th innings. The whole point of bringing him on an Australian tour was the Sydney game. They should have convinced him to stick around for this game.
Honestly, both teams have fragile batting line ups. This pitch and conditions suit bowlers, no doubt. But its definitely not a 150-180 pitch. It could be anyone's game now. Shameful for test cricket.. Oh and by the way, Root is miles ahead of all the batsmen on display in this match.. that too without a hundred in Australia!
1. Now that KL Rahul and Gill failed again and proved our 2yr old theory that Gill and KL Rahul are another Ajinkya Rahanes who plays well one innings to fail another 10 innings to keep place in the team, its high time , the so call experts, selectors, bcci should stop the fascinations for these two players hoping that one day they will prove they are good and hence drop them permanently from future SENA tours. We warned that Gill and KL Rahul should be dropped for Sydney test also. And also told that both should not be in the team for SENA tours. Look at the batting average of these two players in last 50 tests (i,e 100 innings) is 34+ and SENA average is 10+ in 40 innings. No Indian players was given so many chances like these two being given. Sehwag, Shreyas, Laxman were dropped for failures in 8 innings. In the past, Selectors, BCCI, Team management destroyed carerrs of Vinod kambli, Prithvi shaw, Karuna nair by dropping them for failures in 4 innings. Why these two players need to be given so many chances? 2. Virat needs be dropped also bcoz his batting average in last 28 innings including this Sydney test is worse than Rohit. No Indian top stars were given so many chances like these two. Not even Sehwag, Laxman were given so many chances 3. Gill and Virat should not be made captain after Rohit retirement. Instead Gill needs to be dropped and Virat needs to be retired like Rohit 4. Its high time Sarfaraz, Jurel, Shryeas be given enough chances to prove themselves 5. Selectors, BCCI should stop the excuses of reputation and experiences. Only form stats needs to be checked especially in SENA Tours 6. Finally, Jaiswal needs to start using his pull shots to negate bowlers like Scott boland and Cummins. One of the reasons for Jaiswal failures is unable to use pull shots that gave him success in england tour. The first innings dismissal ball could easily negated with pull shots. Against England, he used pull shot to play such balls instead of trying to defend and get dismissed through nick to slip
I think Shreyas has a shortball weakness. Which will be a huge disadvantage in overseas. And comparing kl and gill to rahane is not fair. As rahane managed to maintain 45+ avg for most part of his career and these 2 are struggling to maintain 35+ at their peek
You have given a lot of thought and time to write this so I appreciate your passion for sports. Just need to highlight one point in your 'point 1' - BCCI did not destroy the careers of Kambli, Shaw and Karun, they were themselves responsible for under performance. Kambli was good only in the sub continent and was an awful player of world class pace bowling. Shaw is a very good talent but still not a finished product, he is dropped at IPL level too sometimes. Karun Nair, after his triple hundred, could not force his way back to the national team due to inconsistent performances. In point 4, Shreyas has technical issues and short ball problem, hence won't be considered in Test matches. Sarfaraz will get his chances but he too is not technically adept for SENA countries. Jurel is good but not as a specialist batter. As a wicketkeeper he will play only if Pant doesn't.

Rishabh Pant is so funny. Rohit and Gambhir were both very upset with the horrible shot selection in the first innings in Melbourne and then going for a shot for absolutely no reason since there was really no chance for India to win that match but a draw was very much in the cards and actually something that should’ve happened considering there were two proper batsmen settled in at the crease and India having 7 wickets in hand to see through 33 overs. A draw in that test would’ve been almost as good as a win considering Australia’s 474 first innings total and the struggles of RoKo. So even after all of that. After everything he heard the last few days. After knowing that your captain and coach (and I’m sure many teammates) were really upset with you for your style of play what does Pant do in Sydney? A disciplined first innings where he had a team high 40. In the second innings he’s in at #5 with India reeling at 59/3. So you would expect that Pant tries to repeat his first innings difficult, grinding effort. What does Pant do? First ball 6! Almost breaks the fastest half century by an Indian in test cricket (which is a record he already owned) and gives India an incredibly 61 off of 33 balls. I don’t know if Pant was encouraged to play with intent or if it was a decision he made on his own but the fact that he played the way he did in the second innings after the grind in the fist innings is so intriguing. Crazy, crazy series. Jai Hind!
it sounds great on paper and in theory but if you always have that mindset in cricket you will be basically a hand of blackjack when you’re batting. If Pant’s timing is on, he’s seeing the ball really well and he feels comfortable he’s incredibly dangerous. But in test cricket you have to change your identity even between the first and second innings. Pant needed to play the final innings in Melbourne how he played the opening innings in Sydney. There was zero reason to go for big shots because whether it’s a 6 or a dot ball at that point India had close to no chance of winning but with two men at the crease who had faced 279 balls combined and had put India in a position to easily see 33 overs through and get a very valuable draw. Either Pant doesn’t understand how a 6 is just as valuable to the team as a dot ball or he simply doesn’t care and thinking about his strike rate and average go down started to eat at him so he selfishly went after his personal accolades instead of doing what the team needs. I understand that in Pant’s mind he’s thinking “I have one of the highest batting averages on the team at 42, RoKo are completely out of form and the runs are drying up for Rahul and Gill as well. I also have played tests in Australia and had good success as a batsman” and that for a batsman like Pant who must be getting eaten alive when he has to defend or stay away from a ball he knows he can smash for 6. It’s just against his nature. Im sure he told himself “you’re the highest paid player in the IPL in 2025 (27 crore) for a reason and it doesn’t have to do with anything else except for my bat. So I will do what I’ve always done and what’s gotten me to this point”. That’s why batsmen who can produce in all 3 formats are so ridiculously valuable. Joe Root has almost 13,000 runs and 36 centuries along with a jaw dropping 65 50s but he’s regressed a lot in ODI play and although he’s a massive superstar in cricket I think he played 1 match and had a duck in the IPL a few years ago. Virat just won the orange cap in the IPL (most runs in the tournament just 7 months ago). He had valuable contributions in the T20 World Cup. Everyone knows he’s the greatest ODI batsman in the world. But look at how badly he’s playing test matches right now. He simply cannot get over a mental hurdle he knows is coming but he just can’t do anything about it. And this is from one of the most disciplined batsmen in the world. Rohit wasn’t himself in the IPL last year with the media leaking rumors of a feud between Rohit and Hardik in terms of why Hardik replaced Rohit as captain. The changing room was divided. Some with better relationships with Hardik sided with the all rounder while most of the dressing room and the majority of Indian cricket fans thought it was disgraceful to take away Rohit’s captainship (especially when he captains India in all 3 formats and led the team to a World Cup just 2 months later). Rohit hasn’t had quite the success of Virat in red ball cricket but his 40.57 test average (which was much higher before 2024) is respectable even though it’s not near as good as Kohli’s 47.21. But even for Rohit after a strong World Cup he has completely fallen apart in test cricket. A lot of it is mechanical. A lot of it is mental. Some of it is being nearly 38 (Khawaja, although not a tenth of a batsman Rohit is, has just turned 38 and aside from a flying start with Konstas in Melbourne where he recorded a half century, Khawaja has been equally as bad as Rohit but no one notices that even though Khawaja has been just as bad as Rohit in a very similar role being an opening partner with a young gun with a super bright future and pretty incredible present as well. Even with Konstas having some success and Khawaja has essentially provided nothing (keep in mind this is his home soil which automatically helps). This is where he’s played for years. you rarely hear/read anything about Australia dropping Khawaja. Of course, the Aussies are desperately looking for an opening batsman and have found one in San Konstas, at least for a bit, but I’m sure they don’t want to be in a position where they are playing two completely green opening batsman. So yes, Australia don’t have a Shubman Gill to immediately step in and take Rohit’s spot even though Rohit was an opening batsman while Gill has been moved to 3 because of the success Rahul had earlier in this series opening with Jaiswal. Again, different situations but we haven’t heard a thing about Australia moving on from Khawaja. The Sri Lanka series or maybe just one test match will decide Khawaja’s future as an Australian test cricketer. More bad performances and he’ll be on the chopping block. But zero controversy during the series. Boland replaced an injured Hazlewood, Konstas replaced another green (relatively) young inexperienced on the international level opening batsman in McSweeney. Lastly, Australia let the media know as soon as the decision was made to replace Mitchell Marsh. Marsh has had a nightmarish series with a high score of 47 in the first test against Australia where the match was largely finished. Aside from that Marsh has scored 9, 5 & 2 4 & 0. That’s an average of 9.57 including the 47 score. Take that out and Marsh averaged 4 in the rest of the matches be played. Also Mardy hasn’t provided anything with the ball either. So knowing that Marshall is an absolute liability in the crease right now, knowing Cummins and Starc have both bowl a ton of overs not just in Melbourne but also in the rest of the test. At nearly 35 it will be interesting to see if Starc has a relatively large regression. The point is Australia saw that McSweeney was out of his element against the likes of Bumrah and that Konstas had been on fire so he not only has provided runs but has gone through this experience at such a tender age. What happens? Konstas immediately delivers and although it’s obvious that he’s just slogging and playing almost like this is a T20. He will give you some runs in one innings and make a terrible close to zero contribution in the next. Mitch Marsh is the captain of Australia’s T20 team (even though Pat Cummins, test and ODI captain, has been available but the captaincy remains with the veteran. So think about what India would’ve done in a similar position with a batting all rounder who can’t even score double digit runs to save his life and who has provided very little in the bowling department not only in terms of value but also in terms of overs. So what do they do? Cummins immediately answers the questions about his starting XI, lets them know that Cummins has been replaced with debutant Beau Webster, who, at nearly 31 years old; made peanuts playing cricket. Now, all because of how Australia’s selectors and how their locker room handle any kind of remotely controversial news is part of why they are what they are. But Marsh has been a pariah and because Australia showed that although it may be painful, this is a business and in a business if you aren’t producing results you will either be out of business or fired. No complaining whatsoever from Marsh. No serious rumors about Khawaja being dropped for the WTC based on his form in Sri Lanka. That’s it.
We need only 214 or more and we are going to cross 224 🎉and hence will win🎉remember 185,181,214,182@ india wins by 28 if bumrah dont boll and if he bolls australia will be bundeled out in 132 🎉india will win by 82 runs🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉hurree🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Anything less than 230 will give the aussies the confidence to chase it down. They will come out and play it like T20 style coz now they know defense will not make them win in this ground. I think Indian batsmen again threw it away. Can't expect the bowlers to get you out of trouble all the time.
@Manjrekar - I know you also back Mumbai gang but still most of the times you are very genuine in giving your review analysis. Don’t you think Rohit's today's interview was nothing but GUDAISM? How can he be so over confident despite being the worst Test player as both batter and test captain? Is it because of the Mumbai lobby or BCCI politics backing him? How is it fair that GUDAISM is overtaking merit? He’s openly threatening legends, ex-cricketers, journalists, RUclipsrs, and even fans, saying he won’t leave cricket and daring anyone to question his removal. Is this ethical?
He's out of form so he pulled out. What else are you expecting? You expect him to keep crying all day and feel alone in a room full of people? He could have easily played a sympathy game, but his name is Rohit Gurunath Sharma.
Balance ? Australia is clearly ahead and Australia will win for sure, there is no doubt of it. Australia will score quickly and finish with in 2 sessions

Let’s not over estimate Australia their batting in shambles too and I don’t think with this batting they will win in SL under Jayasuriya , India add 30-40 runs one spell from Bumrah with new ball Match on, Nitish getting wickets tells you the pitch as well😊

How can they be claimed for misread the pitch for their attacking game,, they implied this attacking strategy after both teams played their first innings where traditional stroke making was hard and 15wks fell. Jadeja was trying to defend in the 2nd innings and build but just lucky he is still there.
Baffled at modern day concepts of work load management for pacers, short spells blah blah blah.Never heard Kapil ,Prabhakar etc being over loaded ...they also played full test series in Australia peppered with ODI s and tour games in between....
Connect the Unconnect- Rohit The GOAT Form and Class debates on players during peak playing time is relevant and not during notice period of Retirement. Rohit is correctly saying that, present form is important and not the performance about 5 years back . I endorse it fully. Every beginning has an end. The life cycle is applicable to Cricket Also. We have many youngsters knocking the gate but, gave a long rope to Rahane, Pujara,Rohit, &Virat in last 4 years. The body reflex at 21 and 37 is totally different. The First Over hit by Jaiswal for 16 runs is purely driven by his youth Power. This is applicable to Pant also. The youth power is pushing him. The stroke by Gill ,Rahul,Virat and Reddy is Suicidal in this match particularly when we have 3 full days. Everybody wants to play Pant Type T20 cricket in such a Bouncy track. The charge by Gill and Rahul is attrocious. The openers job is to score 100 runs to post a healthy total. All are expecting Washington and Jadeja to carry till 210 tomorrow and the innings will close at 160. Bhumra is out of action and they will chase it effortlessly. Rohit action is more laudable for his gesture and I prostrate now to his Commitment to Country. A captain cannot be forced to sit outside by Coach unless he accepts it as a Captain. It is real leadership to come and talk in public also, not bothered about what happened to him personally. He stood in high Esteem before the Billion Fans of India. He is a Martyr in the Battle Field of Sydney The Enlightened Arjuna at SCG. He did the Prayachitham for missing the first Test at Perth for his Paternity Leave. Rohit- The GOAT. Skk
All our batters are flamboyant batters, we need a batter like Dravid or Pujara, at no:3, who keeps the wicket, otherwise opposition bowlers will have upper hand.
Yeah Indian team should have also used the brain and brought in Sai Surdarshan and Jurel and may be given few chances to Sarfaraz maybe they could have got some runs .....
Jadeja and Sundar are not all-rounders, they are filler bowlers who can't take wickets overseas and their batting techniques are terrible. Better play specialist bowlers or batsmen instead.
Now, Sab Katham, please remove the immediate base selection team & BCCI Panel without playing team selection; they are dictating without players playing performances. I; they only do this total scenario. players only selected; they will play this test series. now enough. Now it's time to change total time. All the T20 and One Day players are gone from Australia for this test series. How to expect a cup? individually: 100 balls not playing some great batsmen & bowlers; where they are spelling each ball, they don't have any idea. 6 balls 6 variations: They have no idea in test leg stamp spelling, ,no speed star bowler. India is a big country. Search rural areas; we have good talent. Don't judge under 16, 19, or 20 like Ranjitrophys; search every year; want to have a good special panel in search of rural cricketers.
Throw Kohli out of the team ✊✊✊. Selfish Kohli once again proved that he is the biggest liability in the team, but the PR, media and money is hiding everything.

Australian batting is weaker than Indias and they will find it very challenging to chase 175.
This is Australia's game to lose the Aussie's will pull it through and we can start celebrating some retirements - Rohit and Kholi and probably the most biased of commentators Manjrekar 😂
Prasid had an avg of 18 against the recent AUS A in Australia and still he didn't get picked. Some weird selection
I really like the presenter, he is articulate and realises his role allowing the guest to talk
I am sure Bumrah will play. Tomorrow will probably the last day of the tour and he can rest till Feb 19 for champions trophy.
I hope we add atleast 55 more runs to get lead past 200. It will be a advantage. Konstas smith and head are key for them.
We need atleast 250 or more for a India win
@@eaglewinnings8003 Dreams
I think we will put 180-200 on the board, bumrah may not come for bat. we have last pair of batting in the crease
@@dheepreddy9573 Also comment what will happen then...Aus win
Imagine how useful Ashwin would have been in this game. He would have contributed in setting a 200+ target as well as bowling in the 4th innings.
The whole point of bringing him on an Australian tour was the Sydney game. They should have convinced him to stick around for this game.
thank god Rohit wasn't there, at least captaincy was better - & we are in the game somewhat
To be frank it is the pitch that made different today
batting will be slightly better on that deck tomorrow after 1st session. Australia has advantage. otherwise india should score a 215-225 range
If krishna had played in adelaide and melbourne india would hve easily won tge series
Honestly, both teams have fragile batting line ups. This pitch and conditions suit bowlers, no doubt. But its definitely not a 150-180 pitch. It could be anyone's game now. Shameful for test cricket.. I have a feeling T20 has got to do a lot with the skills of current day 'so-called' Test batsmen.. gone are the days of Kallis, Dravid.. the only good thing is its fast action cricket.. that's all.. pls don't comapre these players with yesteryears players.. Oh and by the way, Root is miles ahead of all the batsmen on display in this match.. that too without a hundred in Australia!
Wishing for a Washy’s day
Not even Sehwag, Laxman were given so many chances
3. Gill and Virat should not be made captain after Rohit retirement. Instead Gill needs to be dropped and Virat needs to be retired like Rohit
4. Its high time Sarfaraz, Jurel, Shryeas be given enough chances to prove themselves
5. Selectors, BCCI should stop the excuses of reputation and experiences. Only form stats needs to be checked especially in SENA Tours
You are absolutely right.
Shreyas is a test player? Sarfaraz also ? I don't think lol 😅
KL is good...Drop Gill

Jai Hind!
Be true to yourself and play without fear and most of all , believe in yourself.
it sounds great on paper and in theory but if you always have that mindset in cricket you will be basically a hand of blackjack when you’re batting.
Pick players on merit and performance. Can not depend on one person in any sport , play cricket not emotions or feelings, let the bat do the work
Anything less than 230 will give the aussies the confidence to chase it down.
That seems to be the most probable outcome
India needs at least another 100 runs to make a match out of it. Anything under that will be easy pickings for Aus. India lacks the killer instinct
@sharath8702 Nothing can save India,It is just matter of time that Australia wins ,India does not have that quality and skill , India died officially in test cricket. India is new WestIndies in Test cricket .
Anything under 200 with just two proper pacers won't win you a game, Reddy Jadeja leaked two many runs at times
Let’s not over estimate Australia their batting in shambles too and I don’t think with this batting they will win in SL under Jayasuriya , India add 30-40 runs one spell from Bumrah with new ball Match on, Nitish getting wickets tells you the pitch as well😊
Isn't it really strange that the No.4 never gets dropped despite his repeated failures..??
🌻🌻🌻........ofcourse'' it would be very sad for Team India;; if Jasprit Bumrah is not fit enough on 5th jan. 2025...........once Kapil Dev was at his brilliance with pain killing injections'''''''''''';; TIME WILL SCRIPT THE HIGH OCTANE ''' SUPER SUNDAY''' 🧜♂️🧿 And dazzling 61 in 33 balls at strke rate of 184.85 by Rishab Pant has Indian Team in High spirit !!!+++
FACTTT not picking Prasidh 💪 for the first 4 tests shows GG 🤡 is SUCH A POOR RED BALL COACH😅
Even after "A good Day"
India is still out of it...
Connect the Unconnect- Rohit The GOAT
Form and Class debates on players during peak playing time is relevant and not during notice period of Retirement.
He is a Martyr in the Battle Field of Sydney

He did the Prayachitham for missing the first Test at Perth for his Paternity Leave.

All our batters are flamboyant batters, we need a batter like Dravid or Pujara, at no:3, who keeps the wicket, otherwise opposition bowlers will have upper hand.
What flamboyant? They are useless batsmen.
Yeah Indian team should have also used the brain and brought in Sai Surdarshan and Jurel and may be given few chances to Sarfaraz maybe they could have got some runs .....
We need at least 200 to compete
Everyone is scared of criticizing Kohli the only comment Manjrekar made, what can we say! 🤔🤔🤔
his performance has been talked about in earlier videos that's why he said what can we say lol
