  • Here's what I like about the Pavo35:
    - Lightweight + powerful design (high thrust-weight ratio)
    - Functional, low-profile ducts add thrust & efficiency
    - Lava 2006 2400kv motors (high kv 6s = 💪)
    - BYOVTX saves 💰
    - LED bling pre setup in Betaflight 🤩

    I love mine, its got a ton of power especially for a cinematic drone with a GoPro and I'm also getting 7 minutes flight time with a 1000mah 6s.. The one issue I have is that you have to unbolt the bottom plate to access the 03 SD card. I have a pavo pico, a pavo 20 which I love and this drone like the others is really good.

    • @colibrifpv

      Nice, I have also been super impressed with the Pavo35, wayyyy more power than my other cinewhoops. I couldn't believe it when I did my test flight that it hovers at like 25% throttle and cruises at like 30%. Tons of power with those 2400kv motors and yet the ducts make it pretty efficient and I'm getting super long flights. Usually you have to give up efficiency on an over-powered quad but it seems like BetaFPV found the secret sauce for this one. My favorite 3.5" cinewhoop so far!

      Thanks for watching, glad to have you here! When it comes to price, remember that this one does not come with a digital VTX, you have to add your own, so don't forget to add that in. Even after accounting for the DJI O3 it's still a great deal, especially the ELRS version, and I love how mine flies!

    I have it a few weeks now and wanted to add a gps but for some reason I can't get it to work. Betafpv soldered the tbs nano to the Uart 5 instead of the Uart 3 like they described in the manual. So i used uart1 for gps but it won't come in betaflight and I'm 100% sure i wired the rx and tx the right way. Should i use the uart3 probably? Awesome review by the way👌

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Do you see an option to setup UART 1 in the Ports tab in Betaflight? (I don't have access to my Pavo35 right now) If so, did you activate GPS under "Sensor Input? If so, you double checked the wiring (tx to rx, rx to tx)? If so, did you check the GPS documentation on how to set it up under the "Configuration Tab, "GPS" section? [usually GPS activated, UBlox, autobaud, auto config, but some GPS units are different] And the GPS Icon still doesn't light up in Betaflight? It's usually one of those things, but if you are 100% sure it's not, then yeah, try UART 6, it's right next to UART 1, but only grab that soldering iron after you triple check the above. Good luck with it, be patient and it will work out!

    I had a cinelog 35 quad but unfortunately it sank a month ago along with a 4 day old Gopro Hero10 :=( I really liked it because it was strong and quiet. I also tried a v2 cinelog35, which is very powerful, but also very loud. I'm thinking about a Pavo too. How loud is this quad compared to a cinelog? I appreciate your work! Thank you

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  6 дней назад +1

      Oh man, that's too bad you lost your quad with a GoPro on it, it pains me to say it but that's happened to me twice, once with a DJI O3 quad that clipped a branch over water, and once with a 7" long range with an older GoPro... ouch 😩 I also have a CL35 and this quad is quieter than a CL I think because of the duct design, but it's still loud. It makes a different noise, more of a whoosh than a scream. I prefer the way the Pavo35 flies with these new Lava motors, it's more efficient and flies longer...

    How do you use the o3 as an SD card reader? When I plug my usbc to usbc cable into the o3 and then in my iPad I can only see onboard storage and not the sd card that is in the O3 unit. Any tips?

      Hey there, thanks for your watching! There really is no trick, just plug it in. On my computer, both show up immediately, onboard storage and sd card. If yours is not showing up, unless you already have important footage on it can you try to format it in your goggles? Can you try a computer instead of the ipad? Thanks for the review! Would you say this drone stands in windy conditions from 10-15mph? What would be an alternative FPV similar to the Pavo 35 to also stand in windy conditions?

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  4 месяца назад

      Hey, thanks for watching! Yes, the Pavo 35 can definitely handle some windy conditions because the ducts are relatively thin compared to other cinewhoops so it can "cut" through the wind, the motors are heavier and more powerful, and it is designed to carry heavy cams/batteries. When it comes to fighting the wind, a little weight is actually good : ) Another alternative would be the GepRC CL35. Finally, remember that no cinewhoop is going to fly as well as a traditional 5" in the wind, but that is the tradeoff for a cinematic minded drone...

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  4 месяца назад

      That's a tough choice because they are both great, but today, I would go with the Pavo35... The CL35 is more expensive but more durable (prop guards are thick, heavy, and crash-resistant) GEPRC has a better reputation for quality and is usually considered a higher end brand, and it has the DJI O3 built in already, assuming you go with that model. The Pavo35 is newer, better design in my opinion with functional ducts, it flies better and longer, and it is cheaper (even considering the cost of the DJI O3) but you do have to DIY the air unit and the ducts are not as durable, but they are cheap to replace... @@YonnBurgos

    How is the 03 footage in windy days?

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  4 месяца назад

      It's actually very good...any cinewhoop is going to get blown around in the wind due to those ducts/prop guards, but this over powered 3.5" is going to do much better than most other cinewhoops in the wind, especially with a heavy battery, and Gyroflow does wonders to even out any wobbles!

      Hey there, sounds like you have it wired up wrong. The LED strip that came with Pavo35 should just plug into the provided plug. Mine was wired backwards though, so double check your wiring. i am new to the world of FPV, I only fly DJI,i would like to know what RC I should purchase to use crossfire whit the O3, I was planning to buy the radiomaster TX16s, can crossfire be used whit that radio ??????

    • @colibrifpv
      @colibrifpv  6 месяцев назад

      Hey! Yes that would work but you would need to purchase a crossfire module like this one [bit.ly/CRSFTX ] because that radio comes with either ELRS or a 4in1 module built in. If you ONLY plan to run crossfire, why not the TBS Tango? It's what I use, it's portable and feels great! [ bit.ly/TBSTango ] If you go with the Radiomaster, recommend getting the model with ELRS, then add the crossfire module. It will be expensive and bulky, but you will have the best of both worlds and be relatively future-proof...

    • @colibrifpv

      The 4in1 module is for older protocols like FRSKY which are not used as much nowadays, so unless you plan to use old drones, don't get the 4in1 version. If you are just getting started I recommended getting either the TBS Tango 2 radio (crossfire) or the RadioMaster ELRS radio (ELRS). Just choose one, they are both great, you won't go wrong either way, crossfire is probably more reliable but more expensive, ELRS is 95% as good but much cheaper.
