One aspect that I was suppreised that you did not address at all was the reverse logic: to use the hanged mans mark basic attack of her to improve Saffiyahs damage output. If Saffiyah stands close to someone, and Nungal gives him a basic marking bullet shot then Saffiyah starts chipping this guy down with her assist and trait right after. I think thats a neat mechanic
I didn't think of this, so I will pin it so people are aware of this interaction. I did some testing with it. I confirmed that when Nungal attacks a target for the first time to apply the mark, the sense of purpose does not activate, it only activates if you attack a target that already has the mark (I assumed this was the case, but wanted to confirm). With Nungal marking the target with her basic attack, her basic attack will do 85% of damage instead of 115% (on crit hits). While safiyyah more than makes up that damage with her assist+trait, she can only use the assisting attack once per round. Someone else can attack an already marked target for safiyyah to trigger this. At 3 stars saffiyah already marks 2 targets, and even if she kills one on her turn, any ally can trigger this assisting attack on the other target. Her anti-espionage skill can also mark 2 targets, one that you select, and another from the agent's passive. So the main benefit of having nungal is twofold: to target a specific enemy with this mark and not having to run the anti-espionage skill. This might be a worthwhile tradeoff in some cases, and either way it is a cool mechanic. Thanks for bringing it up!
I can only see/use Saffiyah in bossfights or in general PVE as a Hanged Men Marker with 15% Atk increase buff and Debuff application from Summons with 2-3 procs of her Pierce trait from her assist reaction, Armblade trinket Throws and lucky Fortune Tarot explosions.

I got Nungal for my first pull banner, so i've used her a lot. A couple of points that might help, col's leadership aura will increase her crit chance and crit damage, so with him you can get 100% pretty easily (which synergises well with 5 star crossbow for 20% piercing dmg on every hit), and an extra 30% crit damage to her basic attack. another bow that's good against bosses, is the whale bow as once a target is infected, you do 20% more damage. So it won't do more the first hit, but will every hit after.
Could have expounded a little more regarding her combo with Innana. She gets to shoot deadly aim twice Out of Turn, benefiting from Tower tarot and Irian Combat Bow which is massive damage.
just aheads up she doesnt get extra basic atack range from sniping stance sadly. tested it. it is only for skills like her sniping skill that is increased.

If Saffiyah target takes a turn before Nungal does then the mark will be gone. You can use both Saffiyah and Nungal on the same team with Nungal using a normal build (not a hangmen build). You can also alternatively use Nungal's hangman basic attack to mark enemies for Safiyyah as someone else suggested.
The boss has a trait that makes him attack against any enemies that attack him with a ranged skill. So when Nungal attacks, he will attack back. But the boss also has a reaction that reduces ranged damage, and I believe that is being cancelled with Nungal's 5-star trait.

I actually 2 shot weapon trial 2 lv70 with nungal 3 star lol. The boss don’t even have turn to hit back
