What an amazingly beautiful and radiant being she was, both physically and spiritually... One can feel the Divine grace emanating from her presence just by looking at her old photos and recordings. I wonder how enchanting and otherworldly it must have been to sit at her feet... Her smile sends shivers of joy inside me. The famous photo of her in samadhi, sitting barefoot on the floor, dressed in simple cotton sari and with her dark hair loose around her shoulders is one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen, her eyes closed, her face angelic, her smile serene as she dwells in the abodes of Eternity... What a woman, what a teacher, what a ray of purest Divine light! 💚

@@carollivelight4914 Thank you for your kind words and since you did answer my comment, I will just use this lucky opportunity to ask an important question: CAN a person receive a darshan grace or energy from a teacher if the teacher went into mahasamadhi, and without ever knowing him/her personally or ever being initiated as a student? I do not know much of these things, but Ma has had the same strong, inexplicable effect on me since I saw her picture and read about her for the first time, around ten years ago, in Yogananda's book. There is still the same feeling of complete happiness, love, joy and light and the intense love for her as a person literally whenever I see her face; she has been on the background of my mobile phone many, many times, each time for weeks, whenever I was going through a personal crisis of some kind and I have a file for her only both on Pinterest and on RUclips... And the strangest thing is, I sent about a dozen pics from Yogananda's book to my daughter, at her request, a year ago, among whom was a pic of Yogananda with Ma and Bholanath, and my daughter imediately texted me back with a excited "Oh my God, is it HER?!" I was very surprised as I didn't know she has heard of Ma, but she kept texting me in the same joyfull exuberance that I feel whenever I look at Ma's picture. We talk of Ma often, and we are trying to buy any book about her and get more information (not easy here in Switzerland), but why does she have such strong effect on both our emotions? I sometimes gaze at her face for minutes and it feels like the whole eternity of pure bliss, and I saw my daughter do the same... Could it really be a darshan or a calling from Ma? Can someone become a disciple of a guru who went into mahasamadhi? Do you know where we could get more information about her? Sorry for the long post, but you finally gave me some hope of discovering more about Ma... She is still such a mystery for us. But an irressistible, beautiful one. 🙏❤
Although Mataji left Her body in 1982, Her Radiant Presence has been still felt by many devotees throughout the world. She Herself said that in Her eyes all are equal. She has appeared in dreams to many, as well as in some actual visions of Her by devotees. I believe that many of us who never met Her in person in this life had a previous meeting with Her in a past life. Since She was born in 1896, that leaves a span of many years for such an experience. Of course someone can become Her devotee after Her Mahasamadhi. And there are so many who have done so. She was never restricted to disciples only. Not when She was in Her body and not now, this I believe. I have found many wonderful books on Amazon. One of my favorites is by Alexander Lipski - "The Essential Sri Anandamayi Ma, Life and Teachings of a 20th Century Indian Saint". It was Her Grace that left us so many photos for Her Darshan. Many are in books you will find also. Through Her the pull of the Divine is for many irresistible and truly amazing. I wish you blessings on your journey of light with Sri Anandamayi Ma, Beloved Guru of my soul.
