- In this video, José Brito shows how to make, paint and weathering a decay asphalt road. Several Acrylics Vallejo paints, pigments and washes are combined and in order to achieve an ultra-realistic decay asphalt road. Just take a look how a simple heat isolation foam piece can be transformed into a stunning base for your models and figures.

Everything you did with wet blending I prefer to do with drybrushing. You have a lot more control and don't need to go over it with a sponge afterwards.

Jesse Stewart I believe it is extruded polystyrene insulation foam, available cheaply at most hardware stores
I love your products Vallejo but as a side note I think you should have spin much faster the result in the end ...
do you have tutorials/techniques on different mediums like glaze and retarder
What material is the "ground"? Going to do something like that.
Hello NB.MusicCover, it's a foam that maybe you can find in any home improvement stores. This foam is also used for floral arrangement :)
I still think that using airbrush to apply various highly diluted grey tones woukd look a lot more natural
Hola buenas yo pinto miniaturas y utililizo citadel y me dijieron que Vallejo ba muy bien pero no me atrevo a comprar Vallejo porque no se la eqequivalencia entre citadel y Vallejo me podrías alludar para saber si hay alguna tabla o no ?

Amigo si compras Vallejo vas a encontrar TANTOS colores que Citadel se te va a quedar corto.
Why use the asphalt then paint it? You could have used any colour texture, or just make the product the correct colour to start with.
It's to make the road look worn and used, you never see a straight black road unless it is a new road.
I wish the final reveal didn’t twirl around so fast.... too fast to take in all the great work.
Yeah, it was an otherwise fantastic video. Instead of enjoying the finished product I ended up feeling sick from the high speed spinning.
