The Devil's Snare was Sprout (Herbology), the keys Flitwick(Charms), Chess, McGonegall(Transfiguration). The ones they did not show were the Quirrell's troll, which of course, he easily got past and Snape's test. This last was a logic problem using potions. Hermione figured that one out because she could use logic. As she said, most Wizards do not have an ounce of logic and could never have got past. Snape, however, was a genius. He knew logic and was not only very powerful but could also invent spells.

The best thing about the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, to me is that the chambers following the third-floor corridor containing Fluffy each play to the strengths of Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells. (Even though she froze up out of fear in the book and had to be reminded that she was a witch by Ron)
The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with Quidditch.
And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess.
Side notes:
The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits:
Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry.
Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play.
Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit.
Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness.

It's actually surreal watching it now knowing they are all gone.

Lachy, if you do plan on reading the books again, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Stephen Fry's audiobook readings of them. He does such an amazing job throughout the entire thing, even giving each different character their own voice to an extent.

Edit 2: I only really know this because of the game, but I know where the rest of the rooms are. Ravenclaw is in the Ravenclaw tower, one of the tallest buildings in Hogwarts. Hufflepuff is underground, near the kitchens. And Slytherin is all the way in the basement, I believe, and part of the room goes into the Black Lake.

The only other movie I know Alan Rickman (snape) to play in is Sweeny Todd demon shop barber (Bellatrix) is in it too. A great movie I would love too see you react too.
He was also the antagonist in Die Hard, Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility (with Emma Thompson), also a famous T.V. drama, Truly, Madly, Deeply. Besides that, he was a respected Shakespearean actor.

Fun fact: I just watched someone else starting their Harry Potter experience recently, except they called it the Sorcerer's Stone in their video. So, thinking they made an error, did a quick google search and found out, they did a separate take on all scenes mentioning the stone and had a version for the US that was the Sorcerer's Stone, and I believe the rest of us got the Philosopher's Stone version...... Same movie, just those scenes done twice with each version of the name of the stone, and I have literally no idea why 😅🤣. It was so strange.
Because they thought that American kids wouldn't associate Philosopher with magic but they would associate it with Sorcerer.
I did notice that when I was making my thumbnail and was superrr confused hahah

No Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) was not that tall. His body double that was used in scale shots was 6'10" though. They even had an animatronic Hagrid head/face that the stand on wore with a Hagrid suit to make him even bigger.
The only reason Ron doesn't like the sweater his Mom made is because she always makes his sweater in the same color and Ron hates maroon.

I don't know what one makers and other countries do but this particular wandmaker only likes to use unicorn hair, Phoenix feathers and dragon heartstrings but there have been other things used in wands as Coors in other places like this French girl you meet in the fourth book it's mentioned that her grandmother was a veela which is a magical being and it's a hair from her grandmother and I believe the elder wand which looks like anal beads the core of that was the hair of a thestral and I believe they said that there was a wand that was used in some mythology that had the Horn of some other magical creature inside of it basically ollivander was like yeah I don't f*** with that s*** you have one of three cores when you get a wand from me

My mom's actually the one the most obsessed with harry potter in our family. She would take us to the theater whenever the newest movie was out and she took us to the midnight release of the last book lol. I was like 9 i think? She woke us up in the middle of the night and we drove around an hour to a mall. We werent really upset, just sleepy and confused but chill cause our mom was so happy and excited. I remember the barnes and noble was filled with a bunch of people cosplaying the characters. I was too young and just thought there were a bunch of actual wizards.

I used to be a massive fan, but the way JKR is using her huge platform to fearmonger and spread misinformation about trans people has left a real sour taste. I can't personally separate the art from the artist when she still profits from everything HP and is actively doing harm to a marginalized community.
