Mambo Number 5 is a story of inspiration and dedication. I mean Lou Bega had to write four other Mambos and none of them went anywhere before he wrote Mambo number 5 and finally made a hit.
one of my buddies saw that dude live as an opener for some other horse shit and he apparently had nothing else to go on and did the song twice in the set
I'll never forget the first time I heard Finn realize he was old. I was taking my dying elderly Aunt Gertrude to her chemo appointment and my car's bluetooth connected to TPRMBA. Finn's voice blasted out of the speakers...pontificating on Hatebreed lyrics or some shit. In a panic I jumped to turn down my stereo fearing I'd blow her poor eardrums out. She said "Don't turn down your stereo for me...crank it up!" Miss you Gertie.

I was with my suger momma listening to this Finn, many years ago, but she's gone now. thanks for the laughs. I know she's looking down right now happy that i can still watch another classic Finn, crapping on my favorite oldies video.
I've had a huge crush as a kid on Natalie Imbruglia. I remember Mtv playing music videos with random facts about the artists, and one of hers was that she was a bullied at school, and in Arthur s fist meme fashion all a naive teenager like me wanted is to save her from those bullies and tell her how amazing she was.
My dad and I watched this video together five minutes ago. Then he walked outside and was hit by a hog that fell from a cargo plane. He died. So, now when I watch this again ten minutes later, all I can think of is how my dad loved this video until he was hit by the random flying pig.
Achy breaky heart spanish version "No rompas mas" is always a blast at Mexican weddings, everyone runs to the pit when listen to the chorus and goes nuts when the riff starts
I've just been to a Mexican wedding and the first 90 minutes was solidly Pitbull songs. Then they played Las Ketchup and all the non-Mexicans got up to dance.
I didn't realise that line dancing was a thing at mexican weddings until my own wedding (British guy married to a Mexican woman and living in Mexico) I've been to several weddings here since and I still haven't figured out the steps... And don't even get me started on the fucking rodeo clown song!
@particlejim You brits are still trying to get into Mexcio dammit. Viva la Espana! What was it like moving to Mexico and being the first Brit to ever taste spices on your food?

Mambo no. 5 is THE prime wedding song in my friend group along with Suavemente. It's very entertaining to watch our group of early-20-something go crazy while the grandparents are swing dancing on the other side.
House of Pain looks like the kids from the movie Kids. That Vitamin C song came out during my senior year in high school and became our unofficial anthem. 😂🤦🏻♂️
weird fun fact about lou bega: he's german. you can find plenty of german language interviews with him and it's kinda trippy because he fooled the world into thinking he was probably from new orleans or smth by the way he talks
I just got home from Karaoke at my local bar. "Chad" sang almost every song on this list except C&C Music Factory. That was played in between "performers"
My dead relative story for jump around was my dad was telling me a story where he and some other guys were working with his dad (my grandpa) in the shop with the radio blasting that song, grandpa was in the other room trying to focus on something and walked out into the shop and grabbed the radio and threw it on the ground and yelled “F***” and kicked it across the room, then went back into his office to finish what he was working on and everyone stared at my dad like “wtf” as he just shrugged and got back to work. Martha Wash started her career as half of a duo called "Two Tons O' Fun" who sang backup for androgynous disco star Sylvester. They were approached by Paul Schafer (Letterman's and leader) to sing a dance number he wrote called "It's Raining Men." Ha. As kids, me and my cousin went to one of those karaoke booths that would give you a cassette tape of your performance afterwards. The song we did... Achy Breaky Heart!
I live in Tennessee. Achy Breaky Heart was everywhere all at once. Line dancing to it was a big thing in country bars. He had a minor follow up hit with Dolly Parton called Romeo.
Best intro yet😂 Night at the Roxbury was the last movie I saw in theater with my dad. Not because he died but because there was a sex scene and it was super awkward to watch with your 12 year old daughter.
I hope that Finn is comforted by the fact that irl Natalie married the singer of Silverchair. So even though video clip Natalie was into Chad's, irl Natalie dug alternative guys who were into her poetry 😂
My little sister's homegirl's baby cousin Tracy died in a horrible gardening accident while listening to Vitamin C She choked on someone else's vomit while jumping around
I Wouldn't consider C+C music factory a "One Hit Wonder" As a nineties kid, they had like at least 3 major hit songs off that first record and a couple of other albums that had top 40 hits or top dance chart songs. "Things that make you Go Hmmm" and "Do you want to get Funky" come to mind.
I remember every one of these songs. And Natalie was IT for me. I've always loved my goth girls, but I loved Natalie back then. I listened to the song even though I didn't like it back then. Lol.

And that is the story of how this became a hit.
😂
Ha.
He actually wasn't a one hit wonder. He has a metric fuck ton of hits on the country charts
Best intro yet😂
Night at the Roxbury was the last movie I saw in theater with my dad.
Daniel Johns was my first love. I’m still jealous of her, even though they broke up 😂
We have line dancing at metal shows but you "dance" against each other, preferably in a strait line! xD
My little sister's homegirl's baby cousin Tracy died in a horrible gardening accident while listening to Vitamin C
She choked on someone else's vomit while jumping around
Torn by Natalia Imbruglia was a cover song. Please make a part 3 including "Mmm-mmm-mmm" from Crash Test Dummies.
Geez my 8th grade graduation song we used that Vitamin C. Been ages since I heard it!
“Gonna Make You Sweat ”always reminds me of watching the SpaceJam movie as a kid.
Euro dance parties are the best 😁
"Gonna Make You Sweat" is Borat's favourite song, can't compete with such taste.
Great job man you just sent me on a blast from the
I Wouldn't consider C+C music factory a "One Hit Wonder"
As a nineties kid, they had like at least 3 major hit songs off that first record and a couple of other albums that had top 40 hits or top dance chart songs.
"Things that make you Go Hmmm" and "Do you want to get Funky" come to mind.
This was nice Finn. Great job.
I remember every one of these songs. And Natalie was IT for me. I've always loved my goth girls, but I loved Natalie back then. I listened to the song even though I didn't like it back then. Lol.
We all had a crush on Nathalie back then :) And also 90's Gwen Stefani and Shirley Manson!
My cousin and I used to watch Finn's twitch clips, but I died last week. He misses me every day
Achy breaky heart in Spanish is pretty amazing. Literally plays at every party.
I heard "Jump Around" blaring out of a white Jeep Patriot while I was out walking yesterday
07:22 Everlast seems like a pretty cool guy in interviews. And without House of Pain, we'd have no Limp Bizkit.
I feel like all those 90s one hit wonder are now wedding dance staples!
Vitamin C video has 'Buffy the vampire slayer' vibes
"NEVER MIND THE SPECTRE OF DEATH THAT FOLLOWS US ALL HERES BILLY RAY CYRUS" bruh lmao
Neck Deep's 'Torn' cover is amazing
Now i just feel old, damn you finn🤣
but Mambo nr 5 was a banger at school disco tho🤣💃
Wouldn’t be a Finn video without him becoming completely unhinged at the end of the video.
Loved this one dude, well done 🤘
New series idea- Best Dead Relative Songs Under 2000s Songs (90s Songs, Pop Punk songs, metal songs, the possibilities are endless)
the Natalie Imbruglia song is still amazing. It comes on the radio all the time.
I love how angry you get Finn. I also hate that dude with Natalie. haha
Achy Breaky Heart: possibly the best first song to learn on guitar. It only uses 2 chords; A and E, which are both great first open chords to use!
