Not a good day today.
Just lost my Pamphobeteus cf. antinous (Big Black) and Harpactira pulchripes (Golden Blue Legged Baboon) tarantula. I’m guessing (Well I hope) it’s due to old age for the Antinous. As for the Pulchripes, we know for a fact that it was due to stuck molt. Two of my “rare” species just gone like that - Not something that I would expect to happen in a single day. Gutted.

I’m an HVAC tech my dude, you can run the ac all you want but if you don’t have very good air flow it’s not gonna help as much. Also, the ac pulls the humidity out over time, but until it does it won’t be able to get to a much lower temperature. Get a fan and a dehumidifier and you’ll be able to control the temperature much better with that mini-split AC you have.

Just a quick tip, for the T's that need cooler temps, keep them closer to the floor. Hot air rises so lower to the floor would be coolest place.

Most, including myself not long ago, don't see T's and true Spiders as anything but creepy and scary. Thank you for sharing and helping me see all creatures as important and deserving of life. Will kill it. in the freezer there is no oxygen, the tarantula will sleep due to high carbon dioxide and never wake up again.

You need more air flowing threw the enclosures, they seem to close together and since they are bioactive in some respects they are emitting more isolated heat than the ac unit can deal with. Id reccomend having less inclosures or more space between them
Temp with moist substrate creates super high humidity spikes. With condensation at night with cooler temps. That specie doesnt do well with moisture spikes
It’s possible your new enclosures don’t have enough ventilation
What are your thoughts about vaping (smoking) around you're tarantulas? Exotics Vapes in his spider room! That's why they're dying.

I think, just a thought; that you might improve the ventilations a bit more to make them get the cold air better.. The enclosures that you use have just a single set of air intake, so if you could make them three sides air passageways it would make them get the fresh air better I guess.

Aww I'm sorry to hear one of your Goliath Tarantulas has passed away, it's hard to say goodbye they are pets you know so we all do we have pets that passed away and it's very sad, heartbreaking and hard to say goodbye. Tey're family to us not just animals.

That's what I did to cure myself of my arachnophobia. I'm completely cured. No spider scares me anymore. Keep going spiders aren't anything to be afraid of.
Know the feeling of losing multiple in a short time. Just lost a juvenile c. minax to impaction, and a e. colonica to bad molt just a week apart after months of several good Ts.

Do you know "Dave's little beasties" he's on RUclips also and has a huge supply just like you. I watch you both trying to learn. If you haven't seen his videos, then watch, if so great. He's answered some questions for me.
Dave's channel is small but it's impressive how professional his set up, cases, nurseries, etc., are. Idk his background and how long he's been doing it but he's definitely experienced based on how he handles the OBT's.. Honestly why I've been watching more of him over EL nowadays
