      Hi!
      If there are no symptoms, wait and watch for a year.
      Repeat scan after a year, if any increase in size or numbers, or symptomatic (Pain, fever, vomiting, indigestion or jaundice) best to do a lap Chole.

      Gall stones with gb polyp needs to be assessed with examination and patient history.
      Once risk factors are ascertained, the it can either be observed or surgery suggested.

    Hi Sir, Three months back during a master health check up I have been diagnosed with single Gall bladder polyp with a size of 1.2 mm. I don't have any symptoms. 3 months later now I have taken another USG and diagnosed as " The Gall bladder is adequately distended. A small immobile hyperechoic foci of size 3.2 mm noted adherent to the wall of the Gall bladder with no evidence of posterior acoustic shadowing. There is no significant vascularity within. Wall thickness appears normal. No evidence of pericholecystic free fluid seen." Still I don't have any symptoms associated with it. Can you assist me with the next step?

    • @drkamala4436
      @drkamala4436  Месяц назад

      It maybe a polyp that has grown in size or not measured correctly initially.
      Pls repeat scan in 6 months.
      If the size or number of polyps have increased and/or if you are symptomatic (Pain, Indigestion, Vomiting, Jaundice or Fever), then you will be better off removing the GB by a Lap Cholecystectomy.

    Hello doctor what is calcified polyps in GB it’s size 2.6mm I found it recently through scan sometimes mild pain in the left upper abdomen can you pls suggest next procedure to follow doctor

    • @drkamala4436
      @drkamala4436  7 месяцев назад

      Calcification occurs when there is recurrent inflammation of the gall bladder due to irritation by stones or infections.
      It is usually advisable to remove a gall bladder with calcifications as a precaution, especially with polyps.

    Hi Sir, Recently, a USG scan revealed multiple polyps measuring more than 10mm. I am afraid to have my gallbladder removed right now; please tell me what the best way to remove polyps is without surgery. Your advise is much appreciated for living normal life🙏

    • @drkamala4436
      @drkamala4436  17 дней назад

      Polyps can only be treated by removal of the GB.
      Multiple polyps of 10mm and above is a high risk for malignancy.

    Sir, I found few small echogenic non mobile polyps largest measuring 0.36cm. I have even fatty liver. What kind of polyps is this?? Can this turn into cancerous?? My age is 23

    • @drkamala4436
      @drkamala4436  5 месяцев назад

      Polyps have a stalk as attachment to the gb and hence will not be mobile.
      You can wait and watch and probably repeat the scan after 1-2 years to check for increase in size and numbers. More than 2mm increase in size will warrant a removal.
      Few small polyps are nothing to worry about, however if you have symptoms like pain, fever, vomiting, indigestion or jaundice, then gb removal by Lap Cholecystectomy is advisable.

      Pain and vomiting maybe due to gastritis.
      Avoiding tea, coffee, green tea, spicy, oily and fried food will help.
      Also best to do an endoscopy if symptoms are severe and persist for more than a week.
      Antacids can help temporarily only.
