I see so many older people struggling. My family must be lucky. We own our homes, we lived within our means, meaning we saved money instead of eating out all the time, we saved instead of taking trips that cost thousands of dollars. We saved instead of buying stuff we didn’t need. We bought cheaper phones than spending $1000 ++ on a cell phone. Yous get it. We are only low middle class folks. We saved and we paid our homes off early by not frivolously spending like so many Americans do. People suck and blame others. STOP frivolously spending and life can be easier.
And glad we did, food is through the roof. We grow some of our food instead of frivolous spending.
People in my age group were told by our parents to save for a rainy day. Glad I listened.

When I look at how this country votes the vote splits near 50/50 almost every time. Then, there is the huge number of people that don’t vote! There are three groups of Americans when you look at it from this perspective. Each group probably feels that they understand America best and that is why they vote, or don’t vote, the way that they do. They are all right while, simultaneously being wrong. But a lot of people vote because they think the candidate they select is best for them or best for the nation. The people that vote otherwise to them just happen to disagree. But Republicans have shown that they no longer believe in the central tenant of our attempt to govern ourselves and that is MAJORITY RULE. This is how Republicans have become the greatest dividing factor in a country named UNITED States. If you are into dividing us you are into weakening us because history proves we are at our strongest when we come together to accomplish anything. And the divisive times we are living in right now proves that we are at our unhappiest and weakest when we are divided.
