@@nielsvangucht1410 Anything is a bit hot when it comes to that heat but this is better than most. There are no inner layers and it has loads of ventilation! As long as you’re moving it’s fine. You need inner layers in the winter. To be honest I don’t own it anymore though. Water started to come through at the elbows after around 4-5 years, I used to goretex guarantee though and they gave me back all of my money plus a few hundred more as the new price had risen. I added a bit of extra money and bought a RUKKA set up but that is way to warm for the summer. I do miss this revit suit.
I love the look of this jacket in its darker colour. I thought I wouldn't mind dropping dosh on it as it's just an amazing piece of gear-- but hot DAMN 1700 (Canadian) smackeroos for a jacket. Ho-lee. But, I digress, you do get what you pay for (without a doubt). I really dig how REV'IT jackets tend to fit and adjust to fit slimmer guys better. As a 6'2"
Any heads up yet on when does this beast become available on a closeout? It'll definitely be mouth watering to see it cheaper by 40%-50% from its currently insane price!!!
I currently have the Posiedon jacket and pants. I really don't like the 3/4 fit of the jacket and the bunched material it creates at the waist area. Is the Dominator the same 3/4 cut? Also it seems the Defender Pro may be a more traditional length, is that true? Suggestions? Thanks!
Gavin Tan We expect the Dominator to be available early-April. As for fit, the Dominator is very similar in fit to the Poseidon. You should be the same size in both. -DrewZilla
Hi Drew, is there a reason why they don't do this jacket in small size? I own a Tornado 2 in small and it fits perfect (with no underlayer though, just a t-shirt). Thanks!
The Dominator is more comfortable to wear in my opinion (less crunchy/bulky). It's also a bit easier to control ventilation on the Dominator. That being said, the Badlands has as much ventilation/protection and is more affordable. You'll have to decide whether the Dominator's slight advantage is worth the price difference. -DrewZilla
Mitsaras Giannikis for hot summer weather, the Defender Pro will flow more air (with the waterproof liner removed). Even better for summer is the new Cayenne Pro (as long as you don't need or want a waterproof liner). The Dominator is best if you want the Gore-Tex built into the outer layer, so that the jacket is always waterproof. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-defender-pro-gtx-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-cayenne-pro-jacket
When it comes to protection at this price range or lower (nothing higher) is this the way to go or can you recommend something that matches or exceeds this level of protection?
The Klim Badlands comes very close in its level of protection, but this Dominator Jacket offers just a bit more impact protection. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/klim-badlands-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-dominator-gtx-jacket
Rev'it has had problems with the light coloured variant. The fabric on these tends to get very fuzzy after a while. So they discontinued it. I called Rev'it a month ago and they said that probably in 2019 another light coloured variant will come, but it will have a more green-like colour.
The closest Rukka comparisons would be the Energator and Realer Jackets. All three jackets use a Gore Pro 3-layer shell with super-durable Armacor (aramid/Cordura) on the shoulders and elbows. The main difference, though, is that the Dominator is better-vented for hotter weather, while the Rukka jackets have thermal liners and Gore-Tex collars that are better for cold weather. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-dominator-gtx-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rukka-energator-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rukka-realer-jacket
I've owned both Rukka and Rev-it jackets. My Rev-it lasted for 10 years and was still going strong when I sold it. My Rukka Cosmic started to fall apart within six months of light recreational use. It has needed no less than 7 warranty repairs in 3 years. There is evidence all over the internet of poor quality and bad customer service from Rukka. I know what my next jacket is going to be and it isn't Rukka.
Please. Motorcycle clothing cannot be apex predators or juggernauts. Nor are they top of the food chain. Please let Spurgeon do these things instead of Anthony, who is obviously burned out on the concept.

I’ve been riding in this jacket for almost two years now. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s simply perfect!
How does it ventilate in hot weather ? Isn't it to hot when riding in +30°c ?

@@capoverdepires thanks for the info !
I could only dream of owning a jacket that nice.

I would imagine they are working on a second version of this jacket, what do you think? Coming soon?

when reviewing you should include the hip gators as part of the adjustments. ;-)
oops you barely touched upon it sorry
This is a really nice jacket
Leslie Sofarelli Thanks Leslie! Keep up the great work! -DrewZilla

Hi guys, thank you for the review. Is the a newer version "2" or "Pro" on the way?
Perhaps at some point in the future but not anytime soon that we know of. -DrewZilla
Hi, when are you expecting delivery for the Dominator?
Also, is the fit the same as or similar to the Poseidon?

I wish this jacket had the full sleeve arm vent. Is the armor like d30?
Chris B Yes, it's similar to d3o but slightly more temperature-stable and breathable. -DrewZilla
RevZilla what size is the jacket in the video ?
Having hard time deciding between this and the Klim Badlands. Any toughts?

Can’t buy the damn thing unless you want black. It’s been like this for 6 months. Are they discontinuing this model.
The black is still current, but it seems the light grey is going away. -DrewZilla
RevZilla is the jacket going to be replaced soon then?
We won't know until REV'IT! announces new products. -DrewZilla

Caspar Wit Thanks Casper. This makes a lot of sense. I wish that kind of information came from Revzilla.

Nooo! I just bought a Poseidon suit! :-)

Slow down
Please sound a little more excited when you make a video

Top of the ADV food chain, cheesy. Take him off doing videos. You will loose more clients than you could win over
